I had some good experience at first. Then 2 very bad experience. No one to talk to and they do not answer emails. I am out some money that is significant to me. NOT AN EBAY NO BUYER PROTECTION! BEWARE!
I have purchased from a couple sellers and it is a normal transaction like any other site. Never had an issue with poshmark thus far.
Bought a few things that were available and paid for it, then receive an email few days later stating- item not available- and refunded money. Received some items that do not fit the description- all items you MUST pay shipping. I purchased a pair of boots- said they were new- see pic on what they shipped me-- so all in all i tried a few things to give the site a shot. After a few weeks- hard PASS on POSH!
My very 1st order was a pair of jeans. Yup... never received them. I cancelled the order as they were never shipped and I have yet to receive my refund. Customer service says they put the refund back in my Venmo account. Nope still waiting.
I bought shoes, sent in the wrong color. I applied for a refund same day. No response, on the third attempt they said it was too late to return. They said they requested photos, which they did not and could not prove to me they had been sent. I will dispute this charge on my credit card. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY OR HONESTLY
First and last experience-never again. Ordered ladies dress pants, received children's pants. Poshmark refused my refund request. Twenty-six dollars wasted.
Ordered pair of nursing shoes and waited 9 days but seller never mailed out and Poshmark did charge me. They don't refund until after 7 days. I will check credit card to make sure they refunded. Also didn't realize until later, you can't return wrong size. Amazon prime so much better and no hassles. Will unsubscribe Poshmark especially seeing all these bad reviews.
I wanted to purchase a silk top, but the site would not allow me to buy now or mark an offer. So I asked for help. I explained the issue. The wonderful support staff came back with sent a screen shot after 2 full days. There was no screen shot to send... Of course the item sold I will not shop from them, not worth the hassel after trying to buy something for 3 days
I attempted to sell a few items on Poshmark. When I had issues, even after emailing the "Customer Service" address listed, no one ever responded. Basically the experience was a huge waste of my time. They obviously have no interest in creating a user friendly environment. There are a lot of creepy people trying to low-ball you at every turn. By the time you pay their fees, you would probably do better at a rummage sale.
I ordered 2 items. One was charged to PayPal and it was not available so I was refunded. The other item was charged to a Credit Card and it was shipped. Then my credit card was charged over $50.00 and Poshmark does NOT return phone calls or emails.
I put this information on their Facebook page and they said they would contact me immediately but, nothing.
Now they have TV ads. Maybe they pay for this with money stolen from customers!
UPDATE for THIS TIME - Am venting/providing a caution re this site: All my previous comments remain; beware of "nasty/extremely unprofessional" sellers, but can get good deals, with awesome sellers - just review "love notes", and ask their email-only Cust Svc (one-day response) on other ways to check up on a seller. Otherwise: I've just completed my SECOND, yes - SECOND "Incident Report of Fraudulent Use of CC" with my CC firm -- This is 2nd time my card has been hacked FROM THIS SITE, and used to buy stuff. --- So, this is a suggestion RE THIS SITE (unfortunately) - PAY THRU Paypal, not with your CC directly, to minimize your chances of your card being HACKED! --- This SUGGESTION is NOT a guarantee, but I've not had a problem with PP/Ebay since being a customer&seller, over a decade.
Made 1st purchase today; Sweet, verified seller ("top rated"), got good prices on a bundle. Site's rather-recent revamped look and policies are an improvement over original: Ship cost is standardized for 5 lbs, and good for bundle from 1 seller; Site now does not encourage trades-the latter was a bad idea anyway, and now has "customer guarantee" before releasing funds to the seller - GREAT idea (like Tradesy). Lastly, communication with site itself is only via email; got an answer to a? A few days after inquiry-At least they make an effort (so far)! Had reviewed other recent comments, and agree that buyer's experience is dependent on the seller - lots of sellers are irresponsible (ADD-challenged "young adults"), and they just disappear after they post their items, and/or they mis-advertise, etc = bad sellers. You can ask about their ratings; its "some" small guarantee about their conduct and listed items. Another slight annoyance for me, but I guess part of the site's "charm"---People can just chat away endlessly, and off-topic; another "social network" I don't need. Otherwise, an OK site for used clothing and accessories if you're careful about the seller, and with their improved buyer protection policies.
If I could give a zero star review, if I could. I was with Poshmark for years, selling and buying. I had a 5 star rating - always. I had a person purchase a designer scarf from me and request a return because she thought the color was off in my pics. She posted her own and they were clearly darker than my scarf. Anyway, Poshmark had the opportunity to deny the return, instead, they sided with someone who just joined and used a fake name and had zero items for sale. So, bottom line is Poshmark will NOT support their loyal, money making, 5 star clients. The other person kept my designer scarf for 2 full weeks while Posh took
Their sweet time making a decision. Who knows if I'll get my Burberry scarf back now. One thing is for sure, I will never support Poshmark again. I was very supportive until they turned their back on me. My reviews said it all. My items were all as described, never a complaint about my pics and color. Stay away unless you don't care about being supported. There are other online consignment stores out there. Find one your who support you back!
We sold a few items on Poshmark and have asked for our check but Poshmark will not send us the funds. We sent emails but there is never a response. There is no phone number, so you cannot call them. Do not use this company. They do not pay you and you cannot speak with anyone.
If you don't get your money out, please please file a complain through BBB they solve your problems less then 24 hours! Poshmark will close your account after that, that's ok! Mercari is a good place to make busniess. They have 7/24 phone friendly customer service. With a waiting time but that's ok, instead tons of not replied emails from Poshmark!
Poshmark has no integrity. I left a rating of a posh Ambassador because she was very rude and just because Poshmark makes money off of her they erased my rating. It's unbelievable that Poshmark allows this to happen just because they make money. It is not the way to do business your business will prosper if your customers are happy.
Purchase brand new grey Uggs Aug 28 for $90. Pick up PO Box on Sept 5th. Uggs had been worn. I emailed Postmark immediately with attached pictures. I have been emailing Postmark every since. Had communication with seller do not except money. I want it returned to me. Postmark email me to Sept 15th saying it was to late. The money is with seller, so no refund.
Item did not fit like in picture and was poor quality. Unwilling to return stating " Unfortunately, this case does not qualify for a return because:
- fit issue is not a valid return reason" did not offfer exchange for different size or credit.
I recently bought a dress from *******@Poshmark, and it was totally misrepresented. The dress said red, but showed a dark wine color. It looked really cute. I received the dress, and it was VERY cheaply made, and it was a bright tomato red. NOT CUTE. I had paid thru Paypal so I contacted them that I was leaving on a business trip out of country. They saw no problem. But Poshmark approved the return AFTER I was gone. They told me that I had 2 days to return it... yes TWO days. They wouldn't answer my several emails, telling them I was in Japan, until they said I could no longer return the item. They told me to keep the dress, and gave me a very generous credit of $10. THAT IS SARCASM.
I will NEVER buy from Poshmark again. Beware of the misrepresenting of this site. It's a scam. They don't help the people with any kind of buyer's protection.
Attached see what I thought I was getting, and the 2nd is what I got. BEWARE
They have a bot responding to emails and it's very obvious they don't care
Poshmark attitude is "you bought what you bought not my problem"
How can you run a resell website like that!?!
Bought loubation shoes, obviously they were fake and they favored the seller
Like many people say the item doesn't go through Poshmark so sellers can abuse/trick/deceive buyers!
I sold a women's dress back in April of 2016. Still waiting to get the payment. There are no customer service phone.
They are running operations with bare minimum. No one responds to the emails. How is Posh mark still running? Referring to BBB and Dept. of Consumer Affairs (CA)
The company needs to be shut down for duping consumers. Corrupt practice. The company is shady with shadier business practices. Mostly run by H1B and other guest worker visas going by their website.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
