I bought a pair of ski pants for my daughter. They were supposed to be size 18, there was a defect in the seam of the right leg and they did not even fit my other daughter who wears a size 8 because of the the internal defect. I sent them a picture which showed the right leg was smaller, they said the picture was blurry and I had 24 hours to send another one. I did not have access to the internet, so I did not even see that request until 72 hours later. NOw they will not take it back. I think that it was fAKE TO BEGIN WITH AND HAD FAKE TAGS ON IT.
The shipping label was created and they never shipped. I opened up a dispute with PayPal and miraculously got an email response from Poshmark stating the USPS has made an error and could I please confirm if I ever received my item. Hello told you several times I had not. They are blaming the USPS and they never shipped. I am not longer corresponding with them as PayPal instructed me not to. Still no contact from a person and still no resolution. This online company is a joke and they are making a lot of money off people... further research has shown that I am not along on this path. Stay away.
Sold an item that apparently was according to Poshmark, not authentic. Cannot resolve the issue, cannot speak to anyone, they only communicate by email. Sent reimbursement payment through Paypal as instructed by them because they said if I didn't they would destroy the item within 7 days from the email notice. Sent payment no answer, then I get an email after several days indicating they didn't receive payment and suspended my account. Never contacted me prior to taking possession of the item from the buyer. Still don't have my item. Not even sure the buyer returned the same item. Why no phone contact that's unheard of. The emails are have limited information and don't address any questions I ask, still not resolved and I still don't have the item. They don't address any of the questions, not even how they prove authenticity. Nothing. Canceling my payment and will never use them or recommend them. This has been going on since beginning of January, payment was made January 11th and still nothing.
I bought a Vera Bradley bag that was totally unacceptable when I got it. I sent the email request to return it because it was completely worn out, faded, frayed, dirty, and with big holes. As a credentialed fashion designer, I have the skill to restore clothing and fabric items, especially Vera bags, but there was nothing I could do with this. They refused to let me return it. I will never buy from them again, and everyone out there shopping online needs to be warned that Poshmark sales are final. Read these other reviews and be warned. Other sites like eBay protect their buyers against sellers who offer low quality.
I was scammed on poshmark and they did nothing to help me. The person claimed to be selling a women's Canada goose parka ($600) and I made an offer of $450 which she accepted. I sent the payment to her via google pay, they don't help either. She continued to message me and answered all of questions until it came to shipping the package. She kept making excuses for why she couldn't ship it and then had the audacity to give me a fake shipping number. This was in December and I have not given up on trying to find her. On poshmark her name was elemai, her email is *******@gmailcom (with a dot (.) between Gmail and com) and her phone number is +1 *******519. Please help me find her so I can get my money back! Her picture is attached.
It's great if you're buying. Selling is o. K if it all goes smoothly, but if there's any issues, they protect the buyer over the seller, so it's good... or bad... depending on who you are. I have had pretty much good experiences over 4 years, just one jerk buyer.
I joined Poshmark last year. No matter how low you price things they constantly encourage you to make reduced offers to likers. When you do, the likers don't buy. No matter how low you price an item, even half of what others have priced, buyer typically offer you half of what you are asking. Most of what I offered was new, name brand items. I have reduced my items to my cost and still can't sell most of what I offer. From my experience people just offer ridiculously low prices to see what they can get. Like going fishing. The successful people have a youtube or twitter following, and that is why they are successful. Or they are young and pretty and model the clothes themselves, and that seems to work. Poshmark has been a huge waste of time for me.
Several purchases went awry but I understood that size and aesthetics were a chance to be taken.
My last two purchases (and I do mean MY LAST) were for $900 jewelry and a new Anthropologie item.
The Anthropologie item was misrepresented and Poshmark sided with the seller. The $900 purchase was vetted by Poshmark (clearly not adept at doing so-the item was damaged and they said it was perfect).
So my 6 Poshmark purchases totaling over 1.1k were basically abysmal. My other purchases dwere too large and it wasn't the company's responsibility to ensure shoes and tops were listed properly.
This site is a train wreck. If your intent is to spend more than $10 on an item go eslewhere. It's 60/40 if you'll lose your money pr not.
I spent hours and hours building closets there. My main closet sold perfume. Thousands of other sellers on Poshmark sell perfume even though they claim items like perfume are prohibited. I was shipping them ground legally and at my own expense because the items were so profitable. Someone on Poshmark with nothing better to do probably a competing seller violated me like 14 times. This really irked me because I made like $200 in profit (like $400 plus in sales) my first 2 weeks of doing it. Anyway I have other closets with toys, clothing and other items that arent prohibited. Those closets are now not allowed to list additional items thereby halting all my business. All because some managment person decided they dont want me doing business there. I would avoid selling here at all costs if I were you. They dont even take paypal you have to wait for a check in the mail or give them a bank routing# which I am so glad I did not. Most of the sellers there are big box stores peddling items pretending to be real people. Meanwhile they take advantage of average women encouraging them to drop prices on expensive items like Kate Spade which is redonkulous. This company only cares about themselves and is geared around only themselves making money. Its like ebay but run by women who act like the high school snitch. If you feel like wasting time and money so other people can ruin it all in a heartbeat go for it. Why is it every other site on the internet will let you sell and ship perfume POSHMARK? They have it all figured out and make more money than you. Why pick on people making you money its a very dopey policy that only costs your company money sellers buy and buyers sell. Word of mouth travels fast too.
Not the best, not the worst. My experience has been fairly mixed with Poshmark, but would still shop with them again. Sizing is a bit of an issue, but once the sizing is right, it's really good.
I ordered a size 8 shoes, and when they arrived, they are an 8 wide. The listing was incorrect, and I have now emailed Poshmark "customer service/support" 4 times. They do NOT have a phone number to call for help. At first they offered my a $10 credit and keep the shoes. I can't wear them. Why would I want to keep them? I have emailed them 5 more times with pictures and screenshots of the original listing, my order and the shoes that are the WRONG size. Still no response. Poshmark does not care if the listing is wrong and you are sent the wrong size. They absolutely do not want to give refunds. Horrible customer service.
Awful website and service. I purchased a bag for the first time on Poshmark last week that turned out to be a fake FENDI bag, in addition to it being broken and missing hardware (not mentioned in the ad). The bag was advertised as a FENDI bag and it was priced as a used authentic bag should be. Yet, the very same day I received, Poshmark would not allow me to return it or report a problem online as they instruct you to do (even though their policy is to allow returns within 72 hours of receiving an item not as described). Poshmark also doed not have a customer service number you can call. Everything is email. I made a second purchase the same day I purchased the alleged Fendi bag. However, the seller has yet to ship it and Poshmark, again, will not allow me to cancel the order even though they advertise that an order can be cancelled if not shipped in 7 days by seller (today is the 7th day). Poshmark does not comply with its own policies, and facilitates fraud and copyright infringement. It's really awful. I am currently at a loss of over $400 - all in my first two purchases through the Poshmark website. BEWARE, I would think twice before purchasing anything from this site!
Poshmark, is a very confusing and misleading store. Sizing is a big issue and not explained in their listings. A specific size that you wear is not the same size from one listing to another. It's almost as if the sellers are using Asian sizing, European sizing, and American sizing. And "BEWARE" ALL SALES ARE FINAL! You can return items under certain conditions. If it doesn't fit you are stuck with it. If you do not like the quality as most items are inferior you're stuck with it. If an item is defective and can be photographed there is a good possibility that you may be able to return it, however, when they receive your email, they will open up a case and it will go under review! From that point it can take up to two weeks to receive an answer. Then you can send the item back and if they approve your email and they still can deny your claim! However, if you happen to have an act of God you will be able to return it!
I have made a lot of purchases on poshmark and I have gotten a lot of nice things. However I just got skunked - literally! I purchased a black and white zebra strip Victoria secret tankini top only from a "posh ambassador". When I opened the package the odor almost knocked me over. The top was clearly old, discolored - I mean yellow like the kind from years of cigarette exposure. The elastic was all stretched out and the item was just disgusting! I didn't even want to touch it let alone consider putting it on. I immediately notified posh and wanted a full refund. Well posher person voted in favor of the seller. This item should have been thrown away not sold. Who can u complain to about such poor practices
I sold a 4-item bundle to a buyer (4 unrelated items). Then the buyer had remorse over the purchase, so she first stated one of the items was not the color described. I provided indisputable proof to Poshmark that it was indeed the correct color ( I had my original photos plus the photos from the manufacturer with their description as well). Since that didn't work she proceeded to damage the item, take photos of it, and state additionally that the item was damaged. Poshmark accepted her scam photos and forced me to take back THE ENTIRE 4-ITEM BUNDLE. Poshmark customers service is slanted towards the buyer, and you will not have a fair evaluation of any claim made against you as a seller. This has happened to me twice in the last 6 months. I am an expert seller... I have a Bachelor's Degree in clothing and textiles and have worked for clothing retailers for many years. Sellers beware.
I purchased an item I discovered was a fake, contacted them immediately and got the run around, delaying a concrete response until it was well past their return deadline. Infuriating. I will send back the cheap knockoff to the seller and tell everyone never to shop with Poshmark.
I had just purchased this gorgeous Michael Kors watch brand new from Dillards for my mom. She didn't like the rhinestone face so I put it on poshmark. No damage, brand new condition and I still had the tags. Someone offered 15 less than what I listed it for. I accepted and shipped it out same day. She gave me a 4 stars with the message "fast shipping than you, Happy Holidays!". No explanation for the less than 5 review and dropped my perfect 5.0 rating to 4.9. I was very upset.
Any company that can collect and change the publics money in the US should be required to provide a phone number where you can speak with a human. They don't respond to emails and they have had my money tied up for 3 weeks with no response. Unacceptable!
3 out of 4 purchases that the merchant described as "never worn" or "good conditon" have arrived stained or badly worn. The last pair of jeans I got from blick1964 advertised as "never worn" didn't match the photo! They came stained, badly worn in the rear of the leg openings and pockets, and with old gum stuck and dried in the right pocket. I accidently accepted them and they refused the refund even when I sent the photos! I had to petiton Paypal, who weren't much better because I paid 12.90 to return 26.00 pair of garbage jeans! Needless to say, I won't use either one anymore! The sweater I received was also badly stained and the othwr pants, washed out and badly worn. All this junk was listed in good to unworn condition and in my experuence, Poshmark backs the seller! Listen up Poshmark! Without people buying the items, you don't exist! People will keep seller garbage on your site and eventually, as you can already tell by the low amount of people posting on your site, you won't have anyone but crooks trying to pass off their garage sale clothes to hardworking people! Beware! Unless you like spending your day calling customer service, goimg to the post office, and trying to get your hard earned money back, shop somewhere else, it's not worth it! The picture is the half of a piece of gum crusted in the pocket of those "unworn" jeans!
The site itself is visually appealing. I really like the ease of use. As a buyer, just make sure you get pics and descriptions from the seller that was you can hold sellers to it. I have found some hard to find items here; so I do like Poshmark for that.
However, this site is HORRIBLE for sellers! Very hard to make money. This site is full of low ballers! When I say low, I mean low! We should be able to set a cap for the low limit to accept, because some of the offers are ridiculous! After you sell, you have to wait until the item arrives, then wait until the buyer "accepts" which can take up to 3 days! Then it takes way too long to get paid. I should be able to transfer funds to Paypal for immediate pay. The process sucks!

Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
