I made a purchase on posh mark with a credit card that I rarely ever use / first time I've used it in months and within 4 days someone used my card information to try to make purchases on BestBuy.com totaling $1600 and $3,400. Luckily I was able to catch it before the orders sent, but I'm certain it was someone at posh mark or the seller who I bought my item from as this card is only used 1 time a year just to keep it "active" and avoid charges.
This site doesn't seem to benefit buyers very much. As a buyer I took the plunge and bought a necklace. Poshmark processed my payment and I waited for the seller to ship. As I waited and waited, I reached out to the seller via a comment on the item and asked her to ship the item. Finally she did. Necklace was okay- no complaints except that the seller shipped much later than promised and I had no recourse regarding this.
Second item was a pearl necklace. Seller seemed legit with a variety of items. No reason to suspect they were fakes. After I bought them the seller listed about a dozen fake pearl necklaces described as genuine, lake grown pearls. I knew then my item was probably fake but wanted to give the seller the benefit of the doubt. The pearls arrived and they were plastic.
Poshmark agreed to refund my money once the seller received the pearls back. I used the mailing label Poshmark sent me. Today I learned the pearls have been delivered back to the seller and the tracking number proves that. But... no refund from Poshmark or any acknowledgement that the item has been returned.
Later today I was thrilled when a seller countered an offer I made with a higher counter offer. This gave me the chance to avoid another purchase from Poshmark since I am better educated on how their purchase and return process gives me no protection. I declined the counter offer with relief and also disbelief. The seller had the item listed for over a year with no takers and I offered them 80%. They wanted 90%. They can let it set another year or two and maybe they will realize that only suckers buy on Poshmark, and may regret that they didn't clinch the deal with this sucker before she got wise. They are never going to sell that item so I hope they use it and get some enjoyment out of it.
I've tried Poshmark twice; both times items never shipped. One seller kept giving excuses, and the latest seller simply never responded and never shipped item. Poshmark CS does respond with a "formality" email but nothing is resolved.
I had to wait 11 days to cancel my order and receive a refund. I would NOT recommend Poshmark.
I've tried EBay, Marcari, and a few others and no problems...
Very bad. Very bad, worst customer service. Sellers sell faulty items there and poshmark does nothing for you. THEY ARE THE WORST, EBAY IS FOR BUYERS BUT POSHMARK IS FOR SELLERS!
Run away from this site, or you will be sorry! They advertised the purse as being an AUTHENTIC Fendi purse. It looks like something made by a child!
The seller stated the shirt I bought was a mens ogio 2.0 polo but soon as I got the shirt it was a womens. I did a return request on it, i sent pictures in but was told I needed to take more pictures. I was unable to take pictures of the shirt by request from poshmark because I'm an outside salesman traveling and was unable to do so or have anyone do it. I asked Andrew from poshmark if I could take pictures tonight (3-20-20) because that's when I would be able to. But didnt hear anything back but a general message saying you cannot return the item because of time.
The seller was false selling and poshmark didnt help me at all. Will not be using this poshmark again.
I've used Poshmark 10-15x and never had any issues. I really splurged on these used boots online. I've never spent this much on shoes before but really wanted to treat myself. The boots came in and they're gorgeous! Love them! BUT they don't fit. I know my shoe size, it hasn't changed in over 15 years, and the size was listed as a 7.5 but the boot had a European size. I googled the European size and it's smaller than a 7.5. I told Poshmark that and they still denied my return request. They suggested I sell them myself. Wow. So helpful. Thanks Poshmark customer service. 0/10
I have been using Poshmark for a couple of months now. The buying and selling are super fun and almost addictive but that's the only good thing about this app. I have sold AND purchased thousands of dollars of clothing (mostly men's lululemon)... I send out packages daily and receive packages daily! Poshmark takes out 20% of every sale and it goes straight to profit which is fair! What is NOT fair is that as a buyer, you can get totally screwed over and not compensated for. For the 4th time I have received a $50 article of clothing that is the WRONG SIZE! I provided pictures of measurements and a measurement chart to prove that it is a Large and not a Medium. Instead of any kind of apology or compensation, I received an automated message from poshmark that they will not accept a return because the product is "as described". You would think that they might take a second to look at my account and see that I'm a frequent user (not to mention I have and have given tons of 5 star ratings) and yet, they won't even take a second to help me out. This is the 4th time this has happened which is why I am deleting the app and leaving negative reviews everywhere I can to help others from having to deal with Poshmarks horrible customer service. Selling on poshmark is fun and easy, but DO NOT BUY ON POSHMARK!
You can not return the item you hate. Complete waste of money.
Poshmark rep encourage me to resell the item with 20 % fees.
Customer service rep is not as professional as Ebay's.
The volume of items for sale on Poshmark is overwhelming and it takes a lot of effort to promote your items and close a sale. When I posted some designer items, I was inundated with scammers who claimed to want immediate purchase if I emailed them privately. And of course nothing happened. If you have hours to spare on Poshparties and constant sharing of your items, you might make a few bucks. If you are looking to buy on Poshmark, the search and filter functions leave much to be desired and it is difficult to find what you are looking for.
At first, I liked Poshmark and was getting good deals. BUT, when it comes to returns, they are at the bottom of the barrel. You have to go through Poshmark, and NOT the seller for a return and refund. They are terrible at trying to return anything. I couldn't get my money back for three items I purchased through their web-site. I did cancel my account and will stick to buying from 1) Amazon, 2) E-bay, and 3) Overstock.com.
I've been selling with Poshmark since late 2016 and their shipping prices started out at an okay level, 5.99 wasn't too bad, but not fabulous either. It's since rised to $7.11, and they probably are going to raise it again. I've noticed my sales have dropped exponentially because of this... and on top of that, they're charging taxes, too? They really should only be doing that for NWT items due to the fact that it's like selling at a garage sale or yard sale, people are paying pennies on the dollar for used items that the person selling them for paid way more for.
I really like their platform, but this shipping thing has got to change. When you HAVE to pay shipping on a product that weighs literally less than a quarter of an ounce, like, for instance, a ring or something, you shouldn't have to pay a huge shipping fee. And if the seller offers free shipping, guess who has to pay that?
There's other options for shipping... they need to seriously integrate it into their platform because now that it's so high, I sell nothing because nobody wants to pay that much for shipping.
Mercari has it right with their shipping practices, but I'm reading absolute terrible reviews and am only two weeks in with selling with them and am scared now the items I have sold on there are just going to be returned damaged or they'll get to keep it and I don't get anything for my item. I've seen people say that about Poshmark, but I'll tell you what, I've never had that happen, not even once. I've never had a return rejected to the buyer even when I proved that the item I sent was not damaged, so I'm wondering what these sellers are saying that lets them keep their money. I take pictures, sometimes video of me packing the box and taking it to the darn post office proving it seriously wasn't damaged or the wrong item... out of 10 returns, not one of them was denied... so, I'm a little confused there.
Either way... I'm a little disheartened by this whole selling online thing now because Mercari sucks now, Poshmark is too expensive, they charge way too much for their fees, shipping, and now taxes. They should pay their own taxes.
Ordered a grateful dead clock from them and it was broken. Contacted seller who said he'd refund me if I sent a picture. I did and he never answered my emails again. Tried to get money back through paypal who told me to return it so I did. I gave them the wrong tracking number accidentally and now Poshmark is telling me too much time has passed. So now they have the broken clock and my money. I will never order from them again and I will discourage anyone else from ordering from them. The negative reviews are correct here folks. They are scammers.
This site attracts all kind of scammers. With non-existing customer support stealing is very easy. People loosing money and no one going to help. I guess they what you to deal with your credit card company if you want to claim wrong/defected item. This site charge 20% selling fee and offer no support whatsoever? Cant imagine this online scam was not shout down by authorities.
PAID $185 FOR WHAT TURNED OUT TO BE A FAKE BURBERRY SHIRT AND POSHMARK DOES NOTHING TO MAKE IT RIGHT. THANKFULLY, I PAID FOR IT WITH PAYPAL. AT THE SAME TIME I GOT A PAIR OF BURBERRY BOOTS AND THEY WERE WAY TOO SMALL AND THEY CAN'T BE RETURNED. REVIEWS FOR SELLING ON POSHMARK ARE VERY BAD, BUT THEY ARE THE WINNER SINCE THEY DO VERY FEW REFUNDS. POSHMARK SAID THAT I CAN SELL THE BOOTS ON POSHMARK TO GET MY MONEY BACK. REALLY? H, E, DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS, NO!
Don't expect to always get your items. I have had sellers with great reviews who never shipped my items. The chance of getting the item is 50/50 which is bad. What you have to do is keep communicating. You may seem like a pain but it gets them to ship because they are scared of bad reviews. Some items I have gotten are nice. Watch who you buy from! And always check when they were last online some sellers pop up but you see they haven't been on in months. So I gave it 3 stars cause of the 50/50 on receiving my items because some sellers did ship so I put the rating in middle range.
This place is a terrible and expensive joke if you choose to buy here.
Their sellers/Poshers are super shady, their company "return process" and promised order cancellation is non-existent, 1-2 day shipping is a scam/joke, and they offer you (the customer) no support whatsoever (i. E. just auto-emails). Honestly, the worst online purchase experience I've ever had and I'm almost 40 plus an avid, tech-savvy shopper. Still sucked me into a black hole; should've checked Sitejabber but was desperate for rare item.
Shop elsewhere if you know what is good for you.
I have two seemingly lost packages. I paid full price for 2 day shipping, and it's now been over two weeks with no tracking information. Each time I contact the site, they give me the runaround. They are essentially holding my money hostage, as well as the seller's. The response from Posh has been slow, and each time they tell me to wait until a certain date. At this point, because the items have been shipped, there is no option to cancel. Horrible customer service!
I bought a Nike jacket as it said Nike jacket and it was under the catagory of jacket. When it arrived it was a sweatshirt! I emailed poshmark to return it as I didn't need a jacket and they said NO I should have verified with the seller if it was a jacket - well the listing said a jacket, the seller listed it under jacket and said it was a jacket which it's not - but terrible customer service be wary - they won't take anything back and some larger are shrunk so they are actually small! I would stay clear of their business!
Buyers are NOT protected by them! Don't make the mistake of buying something extremely expensive and when receiving a garbage and try to do something about it, they side with the seller knowing the seller lied in their listing! This platform is a joke! A waste of time and money!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
