I bought a 50.00 pair of sunglasses, they broke the first time I wore them! I wont order again
Please do you research before shopping on Poshmark because there are loads of junk listings that photograph well but once received leave you feeling ripped off. I've been a Poshmark shopper for a few years now and consider myself lucky to have purchased a very few decent items but its mostly been "hit or miss" and the misses are pure junk. I've deleted my account recently so I won't be tempted back by the nice pics. Tired of wasting my time and money shopping on their site.
HEADS UP: Most recently found that many of the jewelry items can be found on Amazon in bulk! Do your research before buying...
Listing was misleading. I asked to return and they denied it. Buyer beware! Will never buy here again.
I ordered a pair of black American Eagle sweatpants that they DONT EVEN SELL ANYMORE! I paid $20 bucks and waited a month for it but then the person selling the pants CANCELLED MY ORDER! I would not recommend. I did get a refund tho
I have sold a purse and it has been lost in transit for over a month. I have cotacted Poshmark numerous times and recieved no help. I have requested my earnings be released and recieved none. Poshmark says they protect the seller but in my case I feel like that is not the case. I no longer feel confortable selling expensive items and having no protection for issues that may happen out of my control.
Poshmark is very unreliable if you need their customer service. They allow sellers too many days to ship your item but they will remind seller to ship item out if and only if you complain. You can't cancel your order until several days of no shipping and again you have to be communicating with customer service to get anything done on your behalf. They don't seem to pay attention to what is going on and your order can be sitting around forever unless you contact them. If your item gets lost in the mail you will also have to tell them as they don't check this either. I guess they just sit all day shooting back responses that are prewritten for them through emails Intelligent bunch they hire.
The web site is a pain. If you search for say, 3 pound jewelry lot, you will get everything that you did not want like single jewelry items. This is a waste of time. Why search if you don't get back results that you want You get invited to all sorts of posh parties filling up your news page and offers from sellers if you liked their product. You can get good deals this way and it's kind of fun to haggle the price but all in all poshmark is more of a pain then pleasure to shop on
Berore you sell on Poshmark explore other options.
They hassle sellers and flag your items as counterfeit baselessly and at random. I was on Poshmark for less than 2 weeks and had 4 of my items flagged and removed. If you look at my store, any person with common sense would realize none of my items are counterfeit as they are vintage and unique items that China would not have taken the time to mass produce counterfeits with. Yet, their team did not have the common sense and continued to hassle. Several of my items were relisted after going through the trouble for contacting them. However, the items where "Mckenzie" was the one who reviewed my items were ignored and never relisted. These items had a lot of interest and I was negotiating with interested buyers.
It's about time sellers get off of Poshmark and show them legitimate sellers will not put up with their incompetent personnel and completely flawed business model of attacking their legitimate sellers.
Case/Claim instantly denied. Right of return is fake. Tech giant clears the transaction and takes the revenue the second you click. Poshmark is a scam. What kind of internet marketplace does not have returns for customers who are sent the wrong size? Answer: A Scam!
They sold me information to the dark web, which I obviously had to find out later. Beware. Amount of damage unknown, but I'm so pissed off it doesn't matter. I will be making a stink! Not impressed AT ALL.
If you enjoy non-active sellers, unresponsive sellers, no communication, poor customer service, and sellers who have no intention of shipping, Poshmark is for you. About 50% of your purchases will never ship (plus, you have to wait for a ridiculous amount of time to request a cancellation/refund). Mercari sellers are responsive, & in my experience they ship the next day. Poshmark seriously needs to get it together. They should not allow non active seller pages, and in my opinion, they should REQUIRE communication. OH & "expedited shipping", your only option, costs $7.11... so 1-3 days after your seller finally decides to ship your package (they are allowed to diddle $#*! around for 7-10 days without communicating with you), you get expedited shipping. It's basically the SmartPost of the internet.
What a horrible company they are a rip off and they suck mercari and eBay is the way to go I will never sell or buy nothing from them again they are kiss- sss and you always loose on a buyer who wants a return because they want it brand new what a joke
Poshmark does not support the buyer, only the seller. They should be put out of business.
Stained and disgusting products. No vetting. Full on thieves.
I've had some ups and downs with this company. For the most part though they were really helpful with most issues, but I did find the longer I've been on the app and the more active I am, the more receptive they are when I contact them about a problem. The 20% fee hurts a little but if you know what you're doing and price your items right it can be a good experience. I find it stressful to figure out the weight and postage of shipping for different items on my own on sites like ebay and depop, so I like that they send you a prepaid label, it makes it super easy. So far (as a Canadian) I've found this is the easiest platform to sell on.
I read all the negative reviews before signing up and wanted to try for my self,. People were right Customer service is a joke!
I just wanted to share my story because this was crazy.
So to set the scene. I've been on Poshmark for almost a year, I've made dozens of sales and have exclusively 5-star reviews. I've even made a handful of purchases and always left good reviews for those sellers. So I have a good reputation with this site and assumed that it would mean something.
One day, I sold this pair of quite expensive men's khaki pants. They were in perfect condition when I shipped them and I had a very detailed listing, as I always do, explaining that they were gently used but like new.
When the buyer received them, they put in a case for a return due to a rip. Now, to be fair, my photo wasn't completely clear in that one area. The rip was on a back pocket and due to the lighting in my photo, you couldn't really tell considering the rip was so small. Tip for sellers: take good and detailed pictures! On the other hand, the buyer's photos were horrible. They were zoomed weird and unfocused but the only sure thing you could see was a tear in a khaki material.
Despite me saying there was no rip and asking for further examination, Poshmark took my money back and accepted the return. Now, understandably I was mad, but I waited to receive my pants back.
Low and behold, I got the return. They sent me a completely different pair of pants! They're men's khaki pants, but a different size, slightly different color, the buttons don't match. It's undeniably not the same pants, and I easily proved that with pictures.
After yet another complaint, Poshmark returned my money to me, but let the buyer keep his free new pants.
The two takeaways here:
1. If you want free stuff, just return something else and they don't question it and you'll get to keep the item without paying. This is the benefit of Poshmark's completely nonexistent customer service.
2. As a seller, always take way too many pictures and if you have a complaint, ask for as many pictures as possible. But good luck, Poshmark sides with the buyer no matter what.
I purchased a pair of loafers. The seller posted a photo of the sole of the shoe with 7.5M on it. In her listing she wrote:" Enzo Angiolini Size 7.5... "
I received a 6.5. When I opened my case I provided photos of the sole of the shoe, a screenshot of the seller's description, and my invoice with E. A. name and the size 7.5 on it.
The seller wrote: "I humbly apologize. This must have been a typo or oversight. What can I do to make it right?"
The next day I received the following message: "We've reviewed the case you submitted. Unfortunately, this case does not warrant a return." The buyer is encouraged to ask more questions of the seller.
My questions, which will never be answered is: where did the seller get a photo of an almost brand new EA shoe with 7.5M marked on the bottom of the sole?
Why did I receive a very used size 6.5 shoe?
I should have known better before I pulled the trigger, but I was spoiled by Amazon. I'd been made complacent by easy returns, and good customer service when things go wrong. I should have taken the time to Bing: Poshmark Complaints, and read the thousands of negative reviews.
Like thousands before me: I would give zero stars if I could.
I order new NB shoes same size same number of model but it was very tight. Same day I ask for return but they refuse me
Sellers lie about sizes and conditions and Poshmark, despite pictures proving otherwise, sides with sellers because that's how they make their money. Buyer beware!
Poor quality of clothes that I would not even give away to charity! Filed complaint about trying to return item even after having pictures that proved the bathing suit was stretched out and worn beyond measure. Poshmark did not stand behind their guarantee and would not refund my money. There is not one item I purchased that was good quality. I wasted my money and time. Stay away from this site. They are a rip off!
I began to buy a fair amount of merchandise on Poshmark. It slowly occurred to me that the clothes were severely used, smelly, stained and yes broken. Three pairs of shoes snapped apart and the coach sandals split apart twice. I do thrift stores a lot and you would n't see these items in these conditions sold there.
Worse they to put other clothes on my account that I never ordered. Somehow the sellars got the go ahead to sell to me. I wear a large and I know have a closet full of small clothing I did not want.
They still owe me for two items. I have reported them to my bank since the charging was wrong. I have wlth held so much money. Poshmark had the nerve to tell me my account was suspended. I told them I beat them to it! Haven't heard anything since. RIP OFF! BUYER BEWARE!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
