I am on my third purchase in a row that hasn't shipped. I think I am done with Poshmark if the sellers don't ship their items. I bought a few things before that went fine, but it's just a waist of my time to buy something and wait 7 days to never get it, then have to cancel and get a refund; it doesn't make sense. Why sell it if you aren't planning on shipping it?
They are horrible! Wont send payments to right account after multiple requests. I have asked them to stop my account and they have not. Such horrible service. They never talk to you, only emails days later! If you are thinking of doing business with posh... DONT DO IT! If you are actively doing business with posh... STOP ALL BUSINESS WITH THEM NOW! There are several other great sites out there that are FFFFFFAAAAARRRRR better than posh. Trust me... DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH POSHMARK! You will thank me later. If i could rate a negative 1000 as my rating, i would. They dont even deserve a rating of zero. They are much worse thsn a zero!
First time on poshmark, asked seller waist measurement for pair jeans, she told me there in storage so I said I'll buy them just need waist confirmed to make sure no alterations, she told me I'm harassing her for measurement, it's her right to not give measurement and take my business elsewhere so will not be using poshmark, a total joke, seller was a seller with alot of sales too, won't be using poshmark
I am very happy with my order and the delivery
Excellent Quality. I would shop on this site again.
Buyer Beware: Poshmark does not stop sales of counterfeit products; no recourse for buyers! I ordered a set of two pillowcases listed as 100% silk and was hugely disappointed when the package arrived – on opening it, it was clear that the material used to make the pillowcases was not 100% silk, but instead cheesy acetate/polyester fabric. I immediately reached out to Poshmark, but they ruled in favor of the seller, even though I sent plenty of data showing that the items were counterfeit. This apparently happens A LOT in looking at other folks' reviews.
Long story short; so many items are "Ghost items" I would write. The old seller accounts exist and do not provide legit service anymore but the site provides them as reliable. You can try to buy an item on this site but good luck! You will likely end up never getting it and having the wait a awhile for a refund. There are better sites you can use; but be carful. Sites like these are becoming more common these days.
Hi!
This is about Poshmark they have the worst customer service ever.
I'm new here with Poshmark and here for the first time trying to buy some boots that I like!
I've made an offer on this boots!
Seller took my offer! (good)
Poshmark takes the money from my card! (still good)
Poshmark cancels my order & says I have to Identify myself!
But why AFTER COLLECTING MY MONEY? (not good)
Then I can not Identify myself! Can't find out how! But It gets worst!
To get my money back to my Visa it will take 2 weeks!
Why they didn't verify before taking my money?
Poshmark could've process & send my order, then figure out how to Identify me! I am starting a claim because they can not do that!
Now I have lost the Item I was buying!
On top of that I have no money on my visa!
I'm Soooooooo Sooooooooooooooo MAD MAD
AND FRUSTRATED
IF POSHMARK WANTS TO VERIFY THE BUYER IDENTITY,
THEY CAN NOT TAKE THE MONEY FROM A CUSTOMER'S VISA BEFORE IDENTIFYING HIM
I have bought a few items from Poshmark, and most of the time you have to ask the seller questions about sizing, it's as if Poshmark doesn't give the seller enough spaces to write a good description? Too bad the sellers are not allowed to be as thorough as ebay sellers. Anyhow, I have been noticing that the colors displayed on Poshmark are NOT what they appear to be. I purchased what I thought was a blue Under Armour top, and in the pictures there were 2 additional pics in black of the neck which I thought was an alternate color. Sure enough the item arrived and this was black. Poshmark would not allow me to return the item, did not protect the buyer, you can't reach a live person, I'm not blaming the seller because I have seen pink jeans being sold as white, and after all this Poshmark credited me a whopping $5 to my account against a $32.45 useless item as I already have a black one. Be careful and ask the seller every question you can think of.
I bought a pair of jeans. When they arrived, they did not fit, and the tag had been cut out. I messaged the seller and her response was that she measures them very carefully and these jeans were measured according to her standards. I had to submit pictures showing the measurements as SHE stated they should be. I also submitted pics of CLEARLY VISIBLE size tags showing on the same brand jeans and how much difference there was between the correctly sized jeans and the ones I ordered.
Poshmarks admin chose to rule in favor of the seller and her measurements. They were falsely advertised and without the size tag SHOULD have been returned. I now have useless jeans and I will NEVER order anything else from this platform.
Lazy sellar sent me wrong item 5 days after purchase. Than wanted me to. Send it to the lady that bought my wrong items.
Grant it she. Never sent me my item.
Just a cluster nightmare. Way of. Doing business
If you want a very bare honest review of postmark keep reading:
Poshmark is for people who want to get rid of their junk just to make whatever money they can from it. Poshmark takes so much from what you make keep in mind this does not include tax and shipping and handling.
Even if you have new with tags items, you wont make any where close to what you paid for it. People want it, but low ball you and wait until you really go low on the price. The only thing you have luck making some profit is selling that ridiculous over priced studded starbucks cup everyone so badly wants. ($20 people sell it for $60).
They charge you $7.99 for 2 day shipping which takes a week or longer to arrive.
Both times I have tried to buy something on Poshmark the money gets taken from my account and then the seller NEVER sends the item. Of course you do get your money back eventually... this is a great service if you want someone to take your money for over a week and nothing else because that's basically the only service they provide...
Some of my purchases have been worthwhile, ( high end purses) BUT
There are sellers who lie, take photos that do not show the true condition, ( as in leather photos are taken with light reflecting off of, or on the good side).
I have had sellers claim the article was ‘brand new,' ‘unworn,' and received dirty well worn second hand shoes in the mail.
I had a seller advertising a trench coat ‘in excellent like new condition,' what arrived was missing the belt, had puckered seams, ( overheating and irreversible heat damage from being washed and dried on high in the dryer) with stains on the back, loose and pulled threads, wrinkled.
Or, in excellent condition, an Aritzia scarf- what I got: a pilled, worn scarf.
I would say about 60% of my purchases had an issue, half of which I either dealt with, ( giving away, disposing of, repairing, altering) or, if the deception was especially disgusting as in the shoes, trench coat I demanded a refund.
Sellers generally go to thrift stores, ( they are known as pickers) and pick out anything relatively nice, some are ridiculous, a recent post was a pair of leggings in ‘good condition with pulls, for $19.99, a cheap well known brand.
Overall I would say there is no guarantee you won't be ripped off, for the few good finds I did find the stress I went through and the amount of stuff I had to get rid of because it was not as described or junk, ( pilled, old, misshapen), makes me do the math and realize that I would have been better off:
1. Buying new for all of the items that I wanted- like I'm not willing to wear used shoes for example unless they are clearly brand new, or, if a designer purse is clearly brand new and exactly what I want.
2. Going to Value Village for the basics, of which there are a lot of excellent finds for a fraction of the cost of things selling on Poshmark.
3. Time is money, I would rather spring for that Bryan Walker tunic that I know will last me several years that buy one for half the price that looks used that will last me maybe a season.
Oftentimes I find brand new clothes at Value Village anyways, end of clearance sales are usually about a third of the prices of Poshmark!
I noticed when I was scrolling through the main page that there was a tab for law enforcement to contact Poshmark, so between pickers, drug addicts selling stolen merchandise there are probably people fencing stolen clothes too, just like they do on Kijiji and Craigslist.
Anyways, I lasted 1.5 years on Poshmark.
My best finds were limited to silver jewelry. I was not afraid to offer 1/3 to 1/4 of the asking price- the prices are way too inflated for USED jewelry.
A few of the sellers actually seemed as though they were legitimate average people posting personal items, there is no way to know.
I'm done and obviously do not recommend.
It is a huge rip off overall.
I had over 1,000 listings with 30,000 followers, 5 star ratings. My account was restricted by Poshmark due to "behaviour" - aka me letting know other buyers that certain accounts were luxury counterfeits. I hate seeing innocent people get ripped off by fake accounts for their hard earned money. These items support child labor and undermines legitimate sellers. Posh even picked a fake item as a "Host Pick" in one of their parties. Would rather have people be ripped off for their profits than protect the buyers and other sellers.
Poshmark fees are so high that you can actually find the same exact product from the same seller for atleast $100 less on Ebay. Lesson learned- you can't cancel an order on Poshmark either unless it's been more than 7 days and the item was still not shipped. Here's a kicker, after 7 days, the option to cancel is completely removed from the site. Takes the fun right out of a purchase. Don't bother. You'll wait forever and get nothing but generic responses from their "customer service" reps. They should be ashamed of themselves and honestly, I'm surprised Poshmark is considered legitimate.
I tried to order for first time some Uggs. Most looked Very worn. But besides that app only allowed to methods to pay. And neither of them would complete process. Error on top of error. I just wanted to put in my credit card and go. So after several attempts to order. I ordered Uggs brand new from. Amazon no issues. I see several.other items I want to purchase. But dont want to go thru hours hassle of trying to order. It kept saying it recognized my old info. Which I couldn't recollect. Then I couldn't put in new info. Or figure out a way to besides two options that kept sending me down. A rabbit hole
I have been selling on Posh for a little over a year and recently had a listing deleted by them for a new, unopened and authentic beauty product. There are 100s of identical listings that are currently active and 100s already sold but Posh still deleted it because they said it was suspected of being fake... how on earth is ProactivMD fake? Needless to say, I am very annoyed and disappointed in their actions!
I am a relatively recent participant on Poshmark, having purchased several items. A purchase was made several weeks ago but the seller neither shipped the item nor responded to Poshmark's inquiries.
This evening I received a call from Poshmark offering to set up a 3 way call with the seller. When connected, the Poshmark rep did not identify himself to the seller, which surprised me. The seller indicated that after the sale, he decided to keep the item. I let him know that a Poshmark rep was on the line, and reneging on a sale after the fact is not good business practice. The seller then called me a "needle $#*!."
The Poshmark rep identified himself and sided with the seller! I asked if he had heard the seller insult me and his response was to try to change the spelling of my name on the site to match the insult!
This is one of the worst examples of terrible online commerce I have ever experienced. Poshmark obviously favors sellers to the detriment of buyers. Under these circumstances, I can no longer endorse nor participate.
I love Posh, protects buyers and sellers, their customer service, I have no complaints, they always get back to me within 24 hours and have resolved any problems. They prohibit fraud and scammers, making it difficult for a user to buy an expensive designer overnight bag, use it, and then attempt to return, after their TOS has expired. Anything I bought, or sold, has all been 99% 5 star ratings, of course except for the scammer.
Very disappointed. Purchased a very expensive coat that referenced via actual photos a very different coat from the same brand... I was told by Poshmark that, "I should have asked the seller more questions". I'm the buyer. What about seller mis-representation? Feel sick to my stomach about this. Not at all like ebay- who jumps to make sure all sales are kosher. After reading some to the reviews here, seems I'm not alone. Horrific experience.
My second scenario- my offer for a great pair of shoes was accepted. Only to get an email, 2 days later, telling me that the sale was canceled. The seller told me that she received a higher offer from someone else on the platform, and was going to accept that instead! Seemed terribly unethical and poor business to me- and I couldn't believe that Poshmark allowed this to happen. The seller told me to get over myself, but I was very disappointed in all involved here- and stunned actually that this was allowed to happen.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
