I ordered a Louis Vuitton bag *******@abigailmintaa. The purse smelled and was extremely sticky! I wouldn't recommend anyone buy from her! She has a lot of bags for sale at Poshmark but I wouldn't trust her! She was so rude also!
I purchased a pair of boots on October 6. The seller sent me a cheap pair of shoes instead. I messaged Poshmark and the seller multiple times. No response. Poshmark does not offer phone or live chat assistance, so at this point I had no choice but to file a case with my payment issuer.
Apparently, the only way to guarantee a response from Poshmark is to file a complaint. Poshmark sent me a series of emails which scolded me for not contacting them first before filing a claim, warned me my account could be negatively impacted by filing a complaint, put a hold on my account, and informed me they would not reinstate my account until I dropped my claim.
Intimidation, plain and simple.
At no point in these emails did Poshmark promise to resolve the problem and issue a refund.
Poshmark wrongly believed I would be so terrified by no longer having access to my account that I would crumple and do anything to regain access to it. Let me set Poshmark straight: you need me, a loyal buyer of fifteen years, more than I need you. I couldn't care less if I never visit poshmark.com again. In fact, I never will.
Nor should you. They have proved they will do anything in their power (ignore, bully intimidate, cancel) rather than address a customer's valid concern.
I sent proof of the boots I ordered, the cheap shoes I received, and proof those same shoes are listed in the seller's inventory to my payment issuer. Unfortunately, you will have to do the same in order to force Poshmark to engage with you. If you have any credit or funds held in your account, make sure you remove them before filing a claim, as Poshmark will prevent you from accessing them once they receive notice of your claim.
Protect yourself.
I'm waiting on my payment issuer's decision. I am certainly not giving in to Poshmark's attempt to blackmail me (drop the claim or you'll never be able to access your account again). Absolutely atrocious.
Ask yourself if you really want to do business with a company that treats its customers with such scorn?
I know I don't.
Finally and most importantly. Poshmark's "3 Days to File a Complaint and You're Out, No Refund For You" policy does NOT APPLY to items that are incorrect, damaged or not as described. Poshmark will tell you it does, but they are lying. Consumer Protection Laws protect "purchasers of goods and services against defective products and deceptive, fraudulent business practices." Nowhere in these Federal Laws does it state you only have 3 days to file a complaint.
A total train wreck. Stay away. Support service does nothing. Never received order. Seller was a total scam…
Not sure why they charge you in advance without giving you any information when they ship the item. I contact them for all the questions i have there is automatically respond without any addressing any issues. Bad first experience
I have not been on this site very long to sell some dresses. Someone wanted to do the deal off this site and I emailed her. We communicated through email only as I would not give her my phone number. She wanted to send me a check. When I received the check the amount way over the asking price. She says the person will come get the dress and I should give him the difference. The difference was 4 times the amount of the dress. I suspected something was not right, I then mailed her check back. The check came back as unknown address, At this point I will do nothing with the check, If I had cashed her check she would have access to my bank account and a way to empty out my bank account,
Just a warning.
I bought a comforter set from a seller on Poshmark, monique_quebec:
- The seller described the item as "NWT Astoria SAND Queen 4-Piece Comforter
Set". The description came with a photo that matched the description (SAND is the color of the comforter). I paid for what was described, however, I received "Astoria WHITE Queen 4-Piece Comforter Set" instead of Astoria SAND Queen 4-Piece Comforter Set. I contacted the seller to try and resolve the issue by requesting a refund for the returned item then she stopped all communication. I contacted Poshmark and they denied my claim although the seller admitted to not
Knowing what SAND meant in the description in her statement.
The photos show what was advertised vs. what I received. There were no additional tags attached to the item.
I am still trying to work with Poshmark so I will report further outcomes.
Ted Baker clothing sizes run Size 1 (small), Size 2 (medium), Size 3 (large), and Size 4 (extra large). I purchased a Ted Baker dress which was advertised as a Size 4. When the dress arrived, the tag read Size 2. It obviously did not fit. Customer Service refused to intervene and give a refund. According to them, the seller was not fraudulent; the seller simply converted the England size to American size. Even if that was true... a Ted Baker Size 2 (medium)... is not equivalent to an American size 4 (extra small). I tried to reason with customer service twice. Whereas they were unyielding, I gave up and hope to sell the dress on Ebay. I will never use Poshmark again.
Poshmark is the scam of all scams, I bought some sneakers and I don't know how but they authenticated them. The seller put the wrong address on the package so low and behold it was never sent to me. And when I went to the post office, they pulled up all the information on the package to find out that it wasn't even a pair of sneakers it looked more like a t shirt with the weight of the package. So how in the $#*! did Poshmark authenticate this? And the best part is there is no live person that you can talk to. So you have to play this email game back and forth bull$#*! to get a response or the lack thereof. I'm telling you, if you love your money as much as I do. Stay the $#*! away from Poshmark. As I said in the beginning, it is the ultimate scam $#*! show. I included a picture of the item I purchased and the seller. And once again I await to see what Poshmark has to say about this poorly handle excuse of a $#*! show situation. I'll leave you with this. I will never, ever buy again from this website. I'll stick to eBay. I have never, ever been scammed on that site.
I bought a pair of boots from seller on poshmark. They were deceitful with pictures and lighting and did not add color to description until after I refused to accept them. Poshmark sided with seller even though it was very obvious that the pictures were deceptive, if you have an issue they do not care about the evidence. They will side will seller. The first picture was the one shown on website. They appear gray. The second one is what I actually received. They are tan. Really don't believe they are even the same boot.
I bought a "lightly used" Doney and Burke purse. My first clue that it was fake was when it arrived, it was stuffed into a generic box in my mailbox. My second clue was that it didn't look or smell like leather. Third clue was that it was in perfect condition, my 4th was that the stitching on the strap was different than in the expensive stores. Contacted seller who vehimitely insisted that it was real. Terrible customer service and I won't shop there again.
Poshmark is full of scalpers asking outrageous prices for items. I know Poshmark fees are 20%, but asking 4X the new value for a used item is ridiculous and asking additional money for shipping on top of price gouging?! There are also so many rude and downright crazy sellers who belong in a mental institution. If you aren't sure you want to sell an item, why list it for sale if you are creepily attached to it? Or if everything is listed at your unrealistic "I don't want to sell it" price, why are you a seller on Poshmark in the first place? So much seller misconduct. Reporting sellers and reporting comments and users does nothing. Poshmark doesn't care if users repeatedly violate policy or even cuss you out. I'm convinced nothing gets you banned from this site. Poshmark support ignores everything and gives the same generic response for every inquiry. Poshmark doesn't seem to be on the side of buyer or the seller from my experience. There so are many issues with this website. Everything from a seller's average ship time rarely being accurate to ignored reported harassment and bullying in the comments sections to inactive sellers who have been inactive for months yet left all their listings active and the listings are never deleted. My advice is don't buy from here unless you absolutely to. Buyer protection is very flimsy and if a seller measures clothing wrong, you can't return it. Chances are even if the item is horribly not as described (damaged, dirty, smoke smells, etc.) you will not be allowed to return it.
I have been selling for a couple of months on poshmark and not doing half bad. All my sales were my own items from my closet that I wanted to see what I could get out of them. I tried to be as thorough as possible when taking pictures and describing my items. Every item that I have sold so far has received 5 stars and I followed the guidelines by shipping within 3 days and making sure my packages were less than 5 pounds.
That being said, 2 days ago my account was blocked and all my items were removed for "abuse of shipping labels/not paying for shipping labels used". Being a seller, I don't even pay for the shipping. The purchaser does! I have now missed out on 3 offers because they blocked me right after the offers came in and I can't even tell these people that I'm not ignoring them. I am not able to interact with anyone or do anything on my account anymore. I didn't have a lot of items compared to some sellers on there but I did have a little over 100. That took a lot of my time. I am just in shock that there was no warning and now there is no way to get this fixed until someone decides to get back to the customer service messages I sent. If they decide to do that for me at all. I'm not even sure why this happened to me. I didn't even do anything wrong…
I purchased a dress/tunic from a buyer who claimed that it was an original. As soon as I opened the box, I KNEW it was a fake. Not only was the garment the wrong material, it was also the wrong size and the tags on the dress were from the wrong company, and it was made in the wrong country.
I immediately requested a return and explained why. Poshmark asked for more photos, and then made the decision that there wasn't evidence to prove the dress was a fraud. When I reached out for them to review the decision MY ACCOUNT WAS LOCKED FOR 24 HOURS, which was 'technical error.'
I reached out to the designer of the item to prove the authenticity. He emailed me and told me that from just glancing at the pictures he knew it was a fraud and that I could use his email as proof. I submitted more proof to Poshmark. They refused to look at them claiming that they could only look at the initially submitted photo.
Here is their reply: We recommend relisting the item in your closet for sale. We ask that you ask for additional photos and or ask detailed questions regarding the item to ensure correct item accuracy.
I have been a 'Posher' for yearsssss, and with 100% certainty I can telly you this- Poshmark is pure and utter bull$#*!.
Do Mercari, at least they messaging help, posh is ridiculously slow at answering your email and then they are no help at all. I can't get into my account, can't buy, can't list, can't sell. I have 600 listings that I guess I'm going to have to delete and start all over somewhere else. The other account has 102 items listed, even says at top it does, but there's nothing there
Poshmark doesn'tcare about dishonest sellers, sell fake luxurious bags. Hope people doesn't buy there anymore. I made mistake trusting in a seller, fake bag, sending mails and photos and anybody doesn't do nothing. I did call my bank I hope I can do something. DONT TRUST POSHMARK photos givenchy nightingale belt
This site doesn't resolve issues well, as a patron you would expect to speak to someone in regards to your loss but I never heard from anyone. U put my money in their hands and did not receive my order. I made a complaint through support with no resolve. You lose your money but they got their portion and that's all that matters!
I ordered a pair of pants from Poshmark.com on 23Sept. 2021. The site wanted me to set up an acct. So I did. I placed my order paid then a few minutes later I got an email saying my acct has been restricted because of abuse of shipping labels. I don't know what that means. I have NEVER did business with Poshmark and NEVER will now.
I have shopped on Poshmark for s little over 3-4 years. Over that time I have purchased quite alot of clothes. I then saw home furnishings available. I have only had about 5 or 6 clothes items I could not use due to either a hole, a spot or a tear for instance. I did notice shipping costs go up (sometimes more than the item!) When I first purchased home items it was some pillows, quilts, & other soft items. After seeing some glass & pottery items, like Christmas dishes marching mine, I began to order breakable things only having 2 things broken in well over 2 yrs. I could repair 1 of them in fact. But in the last 4 weeks I've had 3 orders broken (2 shattered & I got a cut on my hand unwrapping a piece). All 3 things were reported within 3 days of my receipt. I need to mention there have been many time over the last 6 mos or so that Poshmark & the seller show it having been delivered & it actually comes 2-3days later. That happened before these last few weeks & I was messaged to accept my order & I finally had to write the seller that I had not gotten it yet. At any rate Poshmark is refusing to refund my money that I DID NOT "accept" but they released to the seller. Naturally both persons say they wrapped well but the boxes of the 2 worst were "clanking" when moved (obvious loose pieces moving around). Right now I wouldnt give Poshmark even 1 star but the 3 above are to recognize some very nice Poshers I've dealt with. Don't waste your time because this week alone I found 2 same items brand new & costing less on Amazon (the shipping is totally out of hand with Poshmark). Lastly, you get scripted replies to claims & no personal service. I'm done.
Avoid Poshmark at ALL costs.
In all the many years I have been buying online, this is an all-time first: they refused to issue me a refund when the seller sent me a defective item.
Caveat emptor---stay away!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
