Ordered an item. It was never mailed out but the seller printed out a shipping label and it trying to pass that off as a shipment. Poshmark told me I have to wait till 2 weeks after the supposed shipment to cancel the order. Meanwhile, they took the money out of my account right away... no problem with that! They only do customer service by email. They have NO live chat or phone ie.: real person available. In my experience so far, this business is very poorly designed and I won't be surprised if they go under when the fad wears off. There are so many better options. Avoid Poshmark if you value your time and money.
I purchased a shirt listed as size XL, they sent a size L. I messaged Poshmark letting them know and the seller was apologetic. Poshmark sent me a return label while I was away for a wedding and stated that it needed to be mailed within 48 hrs. When I got back home they had closed the case. I messaged the seller and she was still apologetic and said she would gladly take the return so I messaged Poshmark again letting them know and the girl (Ashley) denied facilitating the return, even though the seller was happy to take it back. This was clearly a mistake by the seller and she was more than willing to take the shirt back, but Poshmark denied making it right. Therefore, I would suggest NOT buying anything on Poshmark. Hopefully they step up their customer service game.
I have bought two items via Poshmark to date. The latter was just this week. The former was earlier this year, and that seller was upfront about everything in the item's description. However, this recent purchase arrived with my finding out that the seller never disclosed that the item was not perfect as the description stated. I left a 3* rating with commentary as to my reason for giving this seller less than 5*'s. However, I have learned that negative reviews are never publicized on the seller's profile. Instead the only reviews that are publicized are glowing 5* reviews (aka Love Notes). Poshmark's FAQ's states that it's so that buyers will feel confident if they see a seller's love notes. However, that is totally one-sided because a buyer should get to see negative reviews also in order to make a better informed decision about buying an item or not. For myself, this recent purchase is a pair of shoes where one side of the shoe the innersole was removed partially in order to insert one of those ball of foot foot pads. The material is made from cork and is messy to remove. Because of this issue it makes the shoe tight and the pad can be felt as it was placed badly so it has a bump. But due to the price being excellent I just sucked it up and allowed the seller to have her cash. So people really need to be very mindful about buying on Poshmark since one will not see the seller's negative reviews, if any.
This company has a return policy that harms customers. I bought jeans for my father that was not as described, not stretch when identified as being. We asked for a return within 5 days, nothing to do. They say the article was described as such. The waist is not stretch at all and it is a problem for my father who is 80 years old... I will never buy from this company. What a way to treat your customers, when we talk about clothes bought online, it's shameful
Poshmark erroneously charged me for an item I did not order. The item was delivered even though I did not agree to the "offer". Poshmark refused to provide a refund and return label.
I ordered LUCKY BRAND EMMIE FLATS, THE SAME SHOE I HAVE BEEN WEARING FOR YEARS, BOUGHT AT RETAIL STORE. THE NEW ITEM ORDERED FROM POSHMARK APPEARED THE SAME, BUT WHEN I WORE THEM FOR 2 HOURS, THE INNERSOLE DISINTEGRATE AND SHREDDED. THE INNERSOLEOF THE POSHMARK SHOES LOOKED EXATLY THE SAME COLOR, BUT IT HAD A CHEAP FABRIC. THAT SHREDDED. NOW I CAMNNOT RETURN THEM/buyer beware
Rcvd 3 different orders with fake gemstones. You have to be very careful not to hit the "I accept this order" button or you're stuck with it. They do NOT publish negative reviews of sellers - they are hidden. That enables and encourages deceptive sellers. You have 3 days to authenticate an item that you think might be fake & that's impossible to do with designer goods. Rotten to the core.
Hello,
I have been with Poshmark for some months and realized that they have not deposited any of my sales money into my account. My first sale was months ago and I just had another sale last week and still the money is not in my account. I looked all over the site and can't find a number or anyway to converse with them, so I reached out to an Ambassador and awaiting a reply! How can I just close my account?
Poshmark not only takes a huge profit from the sale, they promote scams. Buyers can claim a range of defects false or not and seller is left with no product or pay. Waste of time! A huge headache. Actually ruined my kids Christmas bc I sold my bag to pay for their gifts so thanks!
I just joined yesterday, but so far sellers aren't responsive and descriptions lack details. I'm very hesitant to pay for anything at this point on this site.
I purchase a Louis Vuitton sneaker boots. When I received the shoe, It came a a post office box no paper no material as tithe authentication of what you're selling me for my $425 dollars.
So I asked about the actual authentic of the shoes. Poshmark upon to me bringing the matter to their attention. I was told to send some photo with the logo and clear photos of the shoe.
The seller responded saying there's no receipt or any package because it was in the closets for ten years. But the answer I received from Poshmark said that there's not any reason that's not authentic, But no proof as to it's really a made product of Louis Vuitton.
WARNING! This company supports scam artists and condones fraud. I ordered some clothing from one of their vendor's that arrived damaged. Poshmark denied our return claim without explanation. WORST customer service I have ever encountered. DO NOT SHOP HERE! POSHMARK SUPPORTS SCAM ARTISTS AND FRAUD. I have filed a report with the Better Business Bureau.
The only person making money off poshmark is poshmark. Their fees are ridiculously high. 20%. If there is an open case against you, there is a very high probability they will favor the buyer even if buyer claims it is not seller fault. They will
Look out for poshmark fees and payouts first before sellers rights or earnings.
I just got a fake nba jersey. Was missing the wish logo on the chest. Even the photo of the item for sale had the logo but not the item i recieved. I sent them a photo of the issue and its nothing but hassle. Just as I thought. Dont deal with them. Deal with ebay
I have had only one successful transaction on this site out of dozens. People will list things for sale, not respond to inquiries, and not ship items after they're sold. This site is so frustrating and needs to be removed completely.
This month I have had to get the attorney general and the BBB involved I. Dealing with Posh mark. In previous years it had been great but recently they have zero customer support available. I was hacked and all my funds drained into someone else bank account. Had to file a police report and get the agencies involved to even hear back from Poshmark on the issue. It took DAYS. Then I have purchased 5 different items that sellers just didn't bother to ship and I had to cancel 2 weeks after the orders were placed. No way of reporting these sellers. Yet I sell a used coat with pictures and description. I have a flawless 5 star selling record. I am an ambassador and I ship within 2 days (because apparently Sunday's throw you shipping off) and I have to deal with garbage from a buyer with less than a fantastic reputation because a used coat described as a used coat was used. And she can comment and tear down my rating because she made a mistake? And nothing can be done It's maddening and ridiculous. And FYI if you sell watch your account. They were somehow able to hack mine without a notification being sent to either email nor the number I have on file. Change all my banking info then add theirs. Take all my money and there is no security or fraud department readily available. You have to email and wait.
I tried to sell but those parties that they create are useless and if you are lucky to sell something, and a customer complains for any reason even if is not true poshmark will agree with them. Take high interest of your sake, shipping is expensive. In general Not worthy
I've had mixed (mostly positive) reviews buying clothes off Poshmark, as it does depend on the individual seller, but it's rough to make sales on as a seller. I've had items listed for months on here that don't budge, yet sell within the week on other resell apps. There's a lot of spammy content, since they have certain badges, etc., such as people commenting asking you to check out what they're selling. They also take hefty fees when (if) items do sell. Stick to making purchases on here.
I sold a shoe and the buyer messaged me saying it was for someone else. They person she bought it for no longer wanted it so she asked me for a discount after she purchased the shoe. I said no so she tore the sole out the shoe and ripped the told and told Poshmark she received it like that to get her money back. There are pictures of the whole shoe on their site. The sole not ripped out and the shoe not ripped. Posh mark gave her a refund and let her return my shoe to me after she tore it up. After careful review. They didn't review anything or they would have seen the shoe was fine she tore it up to get a refund. I deleted my entire account from them. The better business bureau need to shut them down. They have a rate of 1 star.
I've had very mixed feelings with purchases from Poshmark. A few successes and lots of fails.
Items are often misrepresented in terms of condition or issues/damage. Some sellers so grossly overestimate the value of items or overprice items that can be found cheaper online on sale (which goes against Poshmark's alleged price gouging policy).
Items can be shipped late (or not at all), and it can be hard to know when things will arrive. I have had a few items arrive when out of town (on trips booked in advance), and then when items were not as described, been out of luck since you get 72 hrs to dispute an item.
Poshmark takes a hefty cut (20%), so you have to take that into consideration when selling through them. Buyers can send you ridiculous low ball offers with no way to filter them out like you can on ebay. I do find that some buyers have unreasonable standards when purchasing - and they sometimes don't read the actual information in the listing - which also wastes time. I usually price competitively on Poshmark just to liquidate, but even still, buyers often expect used items to be brand new but not willing to pay more than a quarter or fifth of the price or gripe if there's the tiniest speck of dust or something from storage (I am a detail-oriented person, but some buyers can get OVERLY pedantic). It's honestly a waste of my time to sell on this platform once I deal with the repetitive questions, high seller fees, and crazy karens.
Customer service is often not helpful or willing to look at issues on a case by case basis and reverts to their limiting policies when items are not as described or are misrepresented. Overall, it's a real gamble both as a buyer and seller, and it can be really time consuming to be either.
I think I've finally wasted enough time and money with them.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
