They offer a 15$ referal credit to customers. I reffered someone in my family and poshmark told me they would not offer the credit to me and accused me of fruad. I proved to them there was no fraud. Mums order was paid with her card registered in her name. My orders are paid with me card registered to me. Poshmark tracks your phone and because i had logged into my mums poshmark account on my iphone to help her ( my mum is in her 60's she doesnt use apps) poshmark accused me of fraud. Truly disgraceful way to treat customers. I don't understand how they are still in buissness. They said I was trying to get a free $15…. Even though I proved to them that was untrue. I dont see them being in buissness much longer.
Read the fine print... they're not responsible for sales under a certain $$ amount. If your a victim call the FBI... LET'S SHUT THEM DOWN!
Do not buy jewlery on Poshmark hundreds of people are selling jewlery from Chinese site call Wish in picture women selling ring over hundred bought it for dollar I've wrote Poshmark they said up to them price it's wrong
Poshmark, how I hate thee. Let me count the ways.
1. It is unethical to sell someone an item and never ship it. Poshmark sellers regularly get away with this because of the automatic refund for failure to ship policy. There seem to be no repercussions to sellers if they do not ship. If I have spent time searching for just the right item, and I promptly pay for it, is it asking too much to expect to RECEIVE it? Other than the comment section, there is no way to contact sellers.
2. Sellers rarely provide measurements. You have to ask for measurements in the comment section and hope that the seller responds.
3. Inaccurate condition reports/ ZERO vetting. I have received spotted clothing, and clothing reeking of cheap perfume that was described as being in very good to excellent condition. Worn looking clothing is regularly offered for sale as "worn only twice!"
I even read a comment where a different seller claimed that customers who dare to ask for measurements are not worthy of her time and attention. Ugh.
This is unacceptable. Caveat emptor.
I purchased an item at a directly managed store and it was removed from my list of items because it was deemed to be a fake.
I didn't even receive any notification as to why the item was deemed to be fake, and it was suddenly removed.
I was surprised that the company didn't know the difference between a real and a fake.
I'm not sure what more I can do if I'm told that a genuine product I bought at a directly-managed store is a fake. It's a shame and I don't want to use this company anymore.
This site clearly states that they do not allow the sell of counterfeits, yet when you report them they do not take them down, and if you comment (no matter how politely), the the item is not authentic, they send you email saying to "stick to your business" or else!
Total joke, people buying fake Coach purses (my area of expertise), and I can not help them not to be scammed, because I would lose my account. Terrible site!
My debit card number was stolen twice from me using this site! This site isn't safe at all someone charged gas at a gas station in Texas and someone tried to order a Uber off of my card shortly after I had made a couple of purchases on this app. Please stay away from this app!
Beware! If you buy something from Poshmark they will not accept returns. Once you buy they delete description and you cannot proof anything. I would be ashamed to donate items they sell there.
Purchased a pair of jean that listed excellent condition, like new. The pictures posted were nice jeans. Paid 24.00 when they came it looked like they went through a lawnmower! They smelled and had an oil substance on them. They were discussing.
Poshmark takes 20% cut of all sales but won't protect buyers from misrepresented items. Bought a jacket listed as new, definitely had a distinct smell with some other signs of minor wear. Poshmark's response was that they or seller wouldn't accept returns and won't refund anything but I certainly could resell on their platform, where they could take another 20%. They mentioned I could charge more and even resell as new?! Not sure what that 20% cut buys, except rent in Redwood City. As a buyer you have much better protections and options via eBay, so there's really no reason to buy anything of value on Poshmark, as it's all at the buyer's risk. Truly surprised at their lack of real customer service. Won't use again.
I purchased a pair of Vince pants size 8. I have 4 other pairs of Vince size 8 pants. What arrived was a mis- labeled size 6. Poshmark wouldn't accept the return because "it didn't fit" and suggested I ask for exact measurements in inches before buying from them again (can you imagine ordering a size 7 shoe and when it arrives and is a mislabeled size 6 that Poshmark would recommend you request the length and width of the shoe in inches first? Ridiculous). Poshmark had the gall to suggest that I give someone the pants I bought that were obviously a factory reject, and obliquely suggested maybe I couldn't handle the fact that I wasn't actually a size 8. Also ridiculous. I'm wearing size 8 pants right now. Simply fraud on the part of the seller and the site and an attempt at fat-shaming to get away with it. There are better places to buy.
They never pay you for whatever your "sold" since they claim the items you sent with the shipping label that they provide never gets to the destination so you never get paid. They get their money & stiff the vendors. Don't bother with this crap website.
I have had several cases where the customer claims damage has taken place on an item so they can get a refund. I package my items in bubble wrap and plastic where they will be safe and shipped in the approved mailing box. I have no issue with Poshmark yet but some of the buyers are professional scammers. BEWARE!
I received an item in the mail that I never bought! I could not get a hold of anyone… Anyone to explain the situation! Use eBay it's a much better way to buy and sell used items!
Made a purchase on February 2,2022. Instantly got a bad feeling when I spotted the seller listing the item on Bonanza.com. Waited for the seller to send my item. It still hasn't been shipped despite Poshmark saying it would be shipped "soon." Eight days later, the seller still hasn't dropped off my item to the shipper. Looked on Bonanza.com just now to see if MY PAID FOR item was still listed on the site. It is. Disgusting that sellers post on multiple sites without any intention of fulfilling the transaction. (Note: it's the same seller listed on both Poshmark.com and Bonanza.com. And, no, the seller doesn't have multiples of the same item. One item was for sale. I paid for said item. Seller upped the price on Bonanza.com)
Slimy.
Second time I've been burned. Wonderful how sellers can cancel transactions in an attempt to relist the item at a higher price.
Poshmark is anything but "Posh." Never again!
I purchased soup/salad bowls through Poshmark because the photo of them showed that they were the exact same bowls I already owned (I needed 4 more). When the bowls were delivered they were not the same bowls as advertised on the Poshmark site and the gold leafing design on the outside of the bowls was worn off in several places. I know this because I already own the bowls (bought them from Home Goods a few months ago). They were also covered in stickers that had been removed but the glue was still on the bowls so I thought maybe they would look better if cleaned. As I was hand washing the bowls with mild soapy water in my sink the gold leaf started to peel off even more. I immediately tried to contact Poshmark but there is no phone number to call and I was forced to work with them regarding my complaint only through their site. I took photos of the bowls I purchased from Home Goods and the bowls purchased through Poshmark to show that they were not at all as advertised. Poshmarks emailed me back and said since I hand washed the bowls they were now not returnable. We are talking soup/salad bowls here and hand washing them should not have been an issue at a reputable on line site. However Poshmarks was quick to dismiss my complaint and offered me $13 in Poshmarks (not a credit on my credit card) to buy other merchandise through their site. Worst customer service ever. The vendor advertising the bowls scammed me and Poshmarks scammed me. Do not buy from this site!
You have a poor technique of dealing with problems. I had bought the louis vuitton bag that the seller shipped the empty box. Poshmark refused to refund my $300. There are thieves in your platform.
Wanted to sell two Vintage Luxury Bags. I was flagged for veing knock offs... posted serial # in pics, etc... definitely the real thing. Took a week to get reinstated. Buyer tried to purchase and couldn't... flagged/closet shut-down/purchaser can't buy... for NO reason whatsoever OR if there is a reason. I won't ever know why since there is no customer support number or chat. Really?!? Basically no explanation/no support for high fees!. Poshmark is terrible.
I received a damaged item and was refused a refund. I ordered a sweater from COS exactly like one I already have but this one came having been washed in a washing machine so completely ruined.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
