I love to shop but I'll stick with e-bay over Poshmark any day! I had so Much bad luck with Poshmark That I closed the account and never plan to purchase from them again. First I received inauthentic facial products, Then sellers who failed to ship within a week, then received clothing not as described. Their set postage is around $7.99 even for very small items, bad! There are some excellent sellers on Poshmark but I ran into too many negligent ones. The one star is for those good sellers.
I opened an account with Poshmark and had about 15 items I listed that were brand new, high end with tags on them. It was an investment of time to photograph and list each item in detail. Within a couple days Poshmark had sent me several auto generated emails for each item saying they were removing due to counterfeit listings. I was shocked and frustrated. They also suspended my account, so strange. After all that work and reaching out to them for over 2 weeks with no response I felt was a terrible system. It seemed apparent most things were automated which leaves big gaps in customer service. Someone finally contacted me and re instated my account. By this point I had donated most of those items to a good place. Since then I kept one higher dollar item up, and it sold in the past week. Here is where the real problems have showed up. When you sell your first item you need to go through some steps to verify your personal credentials. Upon doing this I kept getting an error message with my phone. I've tried about 10 times over the past week to input this and reach out to them for help. All the while your suppose to ship your item within 2 days. They would not let me ship to the buyer as I don't have any way of contacting this buyer to let them know about the delays. I kept receiving once again auto generated messages that did not help resolve my issue. It appears some of those messages may have been sent from a customer service representative who was complacent in helping me fully and copy/pasted a general trouble shoot ( which i've done over and over with no luck). Terrible customer service, terrible can I emphasize that more. I can't believe I would be paying them for all this trouble from a item that I own. At this rate I can't imagine them being very successful or sustainable company long term, wow! I would highly consider another company to do business with and sell you personal items through before wasting your time. Im not surprised they get very poor review on here from across the board. It's too much work to invest your time, energy into to reach dead ends like this. Im posting this for the benefit of others as I really didn't want to invest any more time with this company in any regard. If anyone knows of other companies where you can sell your clothing too online that are respectable and good so all can benefit here, please chime in!
While Poshmark has allowed fair exchange of low cost items such as clothing (Lululemon etc) it has failed in the purchase of higher ticket items. Items are not authenticated by Poshmark prior to sale. BUYER BEWARE.
In my recent experience I received a cheap imitation item that in no way represented it's posted photos. I wrote the company to complain as this was an obvious fake. I was declined stating that an internal review found the item to be authentic. The product was never in their hands. There is a non transparent review of whether an item is genuine. DO NOT BUY HIGH END ITEMS HERE EVER.
If I could give this site zero stars I would. I purchased a dress for $110 dollars. The dress arrived stained because the seller wrapped it in blue tissue paper. The seller and I agreed I should take it to a dry cleaner to see if the stain could be removed. The dry cleaner was unable to remove the stain. The seller agreed I should receive a full refund. When I contacted Poshmark support they told me they could only refund half the cost because I didn't file a formal refund request within their 48-hour window (when the dress was at the dry cleaner.) So, I paid for a dress that is sitting in my trash can. Even though I explained my situation to both Poshmark support as well as the seller, Poshmark refused to refund me and the seller turned her messaging off so I couldn't contact her about the issue. STAY AWAY from this site.
Made my first and last purchase with Poshmark. The item was never shipped. They did inform me of the problem but their web sight is a nightmare to communicate with. They say I will get a refund. We will see.

I bought 3 pair of flip flops. The straps were all twisted and warped, the "customer service" person in a text said that this would have to be reviewed. They also did not fit. They were horrible and very uncomfortable. But these are not a good enough reasons to return them! Do not buy from Poshmark. I will throw these flip flops in the trash - totally unwearable - for anyone. On Poshmark, if the buyer has a concern, someone "decides" if you can return them. There is no buyer guarantee at all. I do hope they quit scamming people and go out of business. "Posh" means "stylishly or elegantly luxurious". Yeah, right. Go ahead and read the reviews! It's a shame I did not read the reviews before I threw away $34.00. Oh, well, this was not too expensive of a lesson that I learned. I just feel sorry for future buyers. And you can read the seller's reviews. They are just as bad - sellers saying they never get their money. I think the only thing that ends up being "posh" is the income the owners of the website get. Sounds like they get people to sell stuff on Poshmark, but the buyers get junk, and the sellers never get paid!
I was victim off scammers I bought shoes. I use this application. And got shoes with different size left and right are not same I contact them for refund they don't want send contact them for return they don't want do use this scammers application
I deleted all the 6 7 correspondence as It makes me sick to think about the website Stick to Amazon OMG Poshmark stinks rate a 0
Purchased a handbag from Poshmark and when received it turned out the size wasn't correct for our needs.
Put in for a return and Poshmark said I didn't qualify for the return. They said the size will vary and I should read more carefully. In my opinion Poshmark's return policies are very bad. I will never Purchase or sell on Poshmark again. I suggest buyers be very aware of this.
I'd stay away. I ordered an item, paid for it, and after a week had no evidence of it being shipped. I contacted the seller through Poshmark's site and heard nothing back. I enlisted Poshmark's help, they reminded me I could cancel the purchase and reached out to the seller, but no reply. I ended up cancelling the order and I'm waiting for my money to be refunded
I bought sneakers and they where advertised as a 9. They turned out to be a 8. When I tried to call Poshmark they have no customer service phone number. They did respond with an email and gave me a long list of what I would have to do to try and get my money back. Would never use this company again!
Bought 5 fake necklaces and ask to return same day. They refused by just saying I don't qualify! Their buyer protection is just alie. System always answer you are not qualified for refund and you can not escalate the claim!
They removed some of my designer bags.
They removed my keepall 45 twice first time I thought it's cause I did not provide enough info.
Then I provided all the info necessarily and they removed it second time.
I bought the lv at oglivies Montreal. And they said it was a fake.
It seems like 2 people reported me under false pretense.
So I reported them as well.
One as off transaction from poshmark and the other a spam.
I don't like poshmark I thought they were more professional.
Disgusting of accusing me of a fake when its real.
I will make this really simple. I sold a designer brand dress on Posh. The dress was sent back by the buyer claiming it was not real. They removed the tags and sent back a fake dress claiming that's what they received. I sent pictures to posh Of my original dress. They did nothing. My dress was stolen from me.
I tried to return my dress, loaded the Poshmark app, and it said I did not buy anything from them? Absolutely will not purchase from Poshmark again.
Bought what was supposed to be an authentic Celine bag. Once received, I checked it out and it is so obviously fake. I even sent side by side photos to Poshmark of authentic Celine items and the POS that they refuse to refund me for.
Never again!
Over the years I've purchased many things on Poshmark and just recently started posting items for sale. I am meticulous about accurate advertising and prepping my clothes for sale. Unfortunately, I've had more than a few bad experiences when purchasing things from Poshmark, namely clothing that is not accurately advertised. I just purchased an Eva Varro skirt *******@marisolsbazaar, paid $40 including shipping for a skirt that was advertised as being in "Excellent condition." It was not.
The first thing I do when opening a purchase is smell it - sound weird? Not really. If something reeks of smoke or perfume or body odor, it's pretty gross. The skirt DID reek of cheap perfume and body odor, which is impossible to prove, but wait there's more, the elastic waistband was completely stretched out (disguised in the advertised photos), and the white parts of the fabric had obviously been washed with dark colors because it was a sickly shade of gray. I appealed to Poshmark and sent them pictures of what the skirt really looked like, to no avail. After much ado back and forth, they charged my card anyway and said there was nothing they could do. Shame on you, Poshmark *******@marisolsbazaar, and buyers beware!
Scammed by a seller and customer service has done nothing other than email me the same auto reply from the same customer service rep. I've sent photographic proof but to no avail. It's been over a month and there's been no resolution and no way to speak to anyone at Poshmark
BUYER BEWARE
Impossible to talk live to someone. I made purchase with them over a week ago and have not heard from seller and reached out to "customer service" and no reply. I typically use Tradsey and the difference in the two is vast. I buy resell often and have ever been unable to reach-someone live. It's ridiculous. Take my advice, and use other online resell.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
