I tried selling on Poshmark, it's my first time doing so. They didn't want to activate my account unless I purchase an American Express Card with a minimum of $200 on it, so I deleted my account because it defeats the purpose of making money when you don't have any!
I've gone on several months of sending them emails on an issue I am having with my account. I have not heard back from anyone. I even added my username and email as recommended and still waiting to receive a reply. Meanwhile they are still collecting their commission on my sales.
Let me start by saying I do not EVER write reviews but I feel like this is too important to let slide. About a year ago I purchased a pair of dior sneakers for over $900 from a very trusted seller. I didn't think I had to worry too much about them being fake because they were sent out to be authenticated by poshmark. They passed authentication and were delivered to me. Just this past week I re-sold them through poshmark and they were sent out to be authenticated (by poshmark again) for my buyer. They didn't pass authentication this time and were sent back to me. The SAME pair of shoes I had paid $980 for and were verified authentic by poshmark. To say I am angry and disappointed would be an understatement. DO NOT EVER trust them or their authentication process. I've sent them an email and haven't heard anything back, shocker.
I've had nothing but issues with them. I've been in a verifying status of payment for about a week already. So I haven't been able to purchase. Their verifying process is not letting me scan my driver license. I've emailed them numerous of times and no one has helped me. This has been a week already. If it's not one thing it's another with them.
STAY AWAY FROM POSHMARK.CA
Poshmark.Ca is a terrible place to do ANY business.
Sellers are constantly defrauding customers from selling replica items to not disclosing issues with the item
Poshmark.ca customer service is the WORST and I DO NOT recommend Poshmark.ca to anyone
I hope they go bankrupt
I'm an ambassador I have 122 love notes & I sold a leather handbag the customer got the bag said it wasn't the one in the photos it was canceled the order. Poshmark support said they were looking into it & gave the customer the money back and won't return my bag. I'm out 475.00 what a horrible customer experience I will be selling on other platforms & telling all my friends & family to stay away from Poshmark
This is a TOTAL SCAM. DO NOT do business with them. Theft. I fell for paying an activation fee with a GIFT CARD only to notice that the gift card was then used on two other transactions for shoes for someone. Phone number at headquarters is a recording.
I'm new to Poshmark and haven't had the best experience. Can anyone tell me why they take money when you Make an Offer. Still fighting to get it back. Receive automatic emails. Having to involve bank & RCMP. Has this happened to anyone? Getting the run around. Made 1 purchase and it was fine. Apparently they can't find my account? I don't think Poshmark is going to be around for long. Going to report this to the BBB. Not very professional and are about as quick as a turtle. Money was out of my account within minutes. But it's been over a week and I'm still waiting for my money!
I purchased a dress, in fairness to the seller, the package came quickly and was thoughtfully wrapped. However the dress which was supposedly new (it did have tags) had a very offensive odor. I even had a neighbor verify. I contacted Poshmark and as reviews on other sites indicate, they most always side with the seller. In kind they offered me a $10 shopping credit, they can keep it, I will never buy from this site again. EBAY sellers are more customer friendly and most offer return policies. Poshmark does not allow any returns. In addition I looked everywhere for how to rate the seller, could not find anything that made that possible. Be cautious if you buy from this site.

Poshmark does NOT protect the seller, i personally have examined and packed items with no marks or flaws and when a buyer doesnt like it they rip, snag and stain the item and say it arrived that way. Poshmark penalizes the seller everytime! We are getting scammed and they dont care as long as they get their money
Was trying to buy a dress from a seller and after multiple bids to have no communication at all given back, I used her bundle offer on her closet and bought the dress and other item at a discounted price. BOUGHT not offer. Bought what was stated from the buyer herself.
Only for her to cancel because she had realize the bundle she was advertising was less than what I was offering (and her ignoring). The only form of communication that was provide was that she canceled it because one of the items wasn't available anymore.
She then changed her bundle offer to less and put the item that she said was out of stock back on her closet- Poshmark never respond.
Poor ethics/ not a buying and selling *******@kljohnson015
I've never bought something that was advertised and had it rescinded with no repercussions
They will show some thing in the site and sell something else we have to pay the money upfront it's. Waste website
I provide picture evidence of a wrong size listed by the seller on an item I purchased. Poshmark responded by jerking me around with more pictures in a system that wouldn't let me add new pictures...
Poshmark has been known to not give your money back on a purchase you did not like, based on who your purchasing from if you purchase a product that you did not like based on a cheaply made product or for whatever reason when you get it home, from a seller who sells lots, you will not get your refund. Why? Because they make 20% on every purchase from that person and if that seller sells lots of of items for good money, thats a lot of money Poshmark makes, so they are less likely to give you your refund on something you did not like. I personally bought two cheaply made purses from a lady who claims her purses to be luxury and yes she takes a quick screenshot in which i never get to see, only seen buy Poshmark after you make a complaint which by the way isnt fair either. When i got these purses home, they had a bad scent, they were cheaply made which by the way, you can't feel them over pictures. I explained this to poshmark i wanted a refund which by the way, i never ask for refunds on anything i have ever purchased. This seller makes Poshmark lots of money because she sells her luxury purses for good money. So poshmark wont refund my little $58 because they get 20% of that and 20% of tons of money just from this one person along with all other embassadors on their which by the way, this seller happens to also been an embassador. So be careful when you buy from Poshmark. They also rip you off and are not fair with refunds and if you want to give a review on the person who sold you a bad product because you weren't refunded. What is that all about? So poshmark is trying to save these embassador sellers from getting bad reviews and not giving you refunds from them. Be careful with Poshmark and their unfairness and ripping people off
After yrs of many purchases on Poshmark they refused my one ever return request when the seller had not posted any info of size of earrings and turned out to be huge earrings!
Absolutely refused my ONLY request for return. Deleting my account and will faithfully continue with the honest companies EBay and Etsy! NO WONDER POSHMARK stock is on the tubes! Who would ever invest in this company?
Nothing to add to the above. I was very surprised.
I forgot, as always, to read the reviews. So had to pay.
I've been selling on Poshmark for about nine years off and on. Never had anything but a 4.9 star rating. Recently sold a pair of Gucci track pants to one of their "ambassadors" who claimed that the item was dirty and were used.
(I never claimed they were new.) They sent in blurry pictures showing no stains or signs of damage. I don't even know what they were trying to show? They asked for a refund/return when there is a no return policy and Poshmark approved it! This person I believe because they were a "ambassador" was able to get the return approved because of their status, there was literally nothing wrong with those pants.
Such a strange way to do business!
I have moved on to other apps such as The Real Real, much better!
I recieved an item that was color enhanced and when I disputed it I lost! The Money Back is not true, if the seller edits the pictures and the coloring is wrong, sorry. You're stuck with it!
A fraudulent company period! Freeze your funds After you provide them with your cc or debit! They won't release it and no way to call them. Scammers!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
