So, I've been an EBay seller for over 20 years. I decided to try my hand at PM. What a drama fest it has been. I have had people cancel sales when I've tried to buy or sell because they took offense when I had the audacity to make an offer for 10% below their asking price. And this was AFTER having asked beforehand if they were open to offers. And right after I made the offer, I was ignored/ghosted. This has happened to me countless times as both a buyer and when making a modest counteroffer as a seller. You cannot work with a group of people who act like spoiled influencers who think they are better than you. You can be super nice and still have your transaction cancelled because they simply "felt" like it. No other reason given than that. When a seller on EBay cancels, they are hit with fees and negative feedback. As a responsible adult, know that you will be the minority and have zero rights or recourse on PM. And the administrators on PM are no better, treating legitimate concerns as nuisances. I've been trying to use PM for 2 years with the same pool of brats acting the exact same way and I'm done.

I ordered shoes based on the size chart Poshmark provides. Turns out, it does not match the manufacturers chart, so I got the wrong size. They would not offer an exchange or return. Will never order anything again.

I would advise not to buy from Poshmark. Twice now my daughter has recieved products that do not fit...lately a Doc Martin sandal in her size that she can't walk in as her foot swims in the straps. She has other DM's in the same size that do fit. We opened a dispute with Poshmark but they closed the case bc apparently they don't consider "not fitting" a reason to return the shoes. She paid $70 for the shoe. We went to the mall where we have purchased a new pair of DM for $110 in the same size as the Poshmark ones and they fit. So the Poshmark shoe is defective in its fit. That is probably why the person is selling it on Poshmark. Poshmak claims one is welcome to resell it on Poshmark...to scam someone else while all the while Poshmark makes money as the unwearable shoes changes hands. Don't waste your hard earned money folks!

I'd give it a 0 if possible. There's no one to contact. They require buyers to deposit 1 AMEX card after another. I couldn't afford to sell! This is new. I sold my item & they wanted more! $700 to sell a $225 item! RIDICULOUS!

Poshmark Sucks
May 10, 2023

Mostly it is the customer service. You don't know until something goes wrong, the. You are out of luck. Ridiculous looping responses that say the same thing, unfair policies regarding returns, NO ONE TO TALK TO! They are sitting back laughing as they take in th the dough- what a racket. Dishonest thieves and liars.

Purchased a modem from a Poshmark seller. Modem arrived but didn't work. Took me several days to get a Comcast technician on-site to essentially verify it didn't work. I'd been trying with their phone CS people but it was escalated to an onsite visit. Ultimately they told me it was defective. Turns out Poshmark has some ridiculous 3 day limit to tell them that there was a problem with the item purchased. So the seller ignored my notes (and blocked me from sending him/her anymore) and Poshmark simply told me of the 3 day limit on problems. Compare this experience to even Ebay, night and day in favor of Ebay. Please do yourself a favor and don't even bother looking at Poshmark.

If you are just trying to clear out your closet, don't bother with poshmark. The have the highest percentage commission of any online site at almost 20%. Then they started auctions beginning at $3. Now they have this Promoted that will cost $10 a week and they will put your items first in searches and in that specific brand. So if you just want to clear out your closet, you will be behind millions of professional sellers. Even now because of the auctions, professionals are offering low bids and then reselling on their own websites. Someone offered me $8 for a $30 item and I looked in her closet and she has all high prices.

Be careful of scammers!

If you receive a message in your email like this, it's a scam:

Thank you. I paid, you should get a form from Poshmark to your email address. Sometimes it ends up in your spam folder, at least that's what happened to me. Enter the form and get the money in your account, then they will send you a sticker from Poshmark. I was told by technical support Poshmark that at the moment they have technical work on the site, if you do not get the money within 30 seconds then write to them and they will help you, the chat should be in the right corner

This is also a fake account: clients ©poshmarkService <*******@icloud.com>

I've used Ebay for decades and Poshmark for last few years. Poshmark is a great site if you want sellers who ghost you, argue with you, don't give you returns, and don't send merchandise in a timely way or at all. As an admin team they don't weed out bad sellers or give an easy way to alert to bad sellers (like Ebay). Very disappointed and won't use in the future.

Horrible service
May 4, 2023

Bought a pair of sneakers and I'm usually a nine but they were huge like a man's nine not a woman's, requested a smaller size and the seller said she only had tens and eleven so I requested a refund and she said she had no idea about how Poshmark's return policy works since she never had a return before. She also said I can return it but she won't give me a refund because her payment cleared so it was on me. I contacted Poshmark and they said they don't approve my kind of returns so I should repost on the app to sell or I should just go ahead and donate it to charity or give it to a friend. I'm never ever using Poshmark ever again, it's a scam.

Should have known just by opening a google review and seeing 1.5 stars that this company is worthless. Purchased an Ugg blanket and then purchased a second 4 days later. Paid for both and they refunded money for the second order... guess I wasn't supposed to have two! Received at least 6 form letters in response to my inquiry as to why my order was placed, paid for and canceled. Seller has blocked any communication and Poshmark has no reasonable explanation. Will not order from this company again. Can't fix stupid!

Long time seller
April 30, 2023

I have even a longtime poshMark seller and let me tell you, poshMark support does not have your back. Even if you have one thousand five star reviews - they will not have your back. They will let customers damage items and send them back purely because of buyers remorse. Even if you have PROOF of the condition before you ship the item out… they will not believe you. Now I have items that are worth good money and damaged. What to do now?

Lazy sellers
April 29, 2023

This site is horrible. If you buy things the sellers are completely desperate but take forever to ship. So lazy. They get offended if you ask when will they ship. Bundles ads everywhere. Live shows reminders constantly. Baby like mentality. Like and share on and on and on and. It never stops. Share my five dollar item and you share my hundred dollar item. The site is plain insane. Buyers put your stuff in their bundles then sit back feeling all entitled that you will offer them a discount on a ten dollar item and cheaper shipping. Are you serious. Spending money on packing materials. Gas to go mail the thing plus you get my item for four bucks. Wow I made a under three dollars for all that work. Customer service pretty much nothing at all. Just bots. Way over price items. Photos of items the sellers don't have. You end up purchasing the photo and waiting for them to receive the item from sites like shown. Wish and temu. You can usual tell a nightmare purchase by the photo. It's from one of those sites. If it doesn't get delivered to the seller on time it like pulling teeth and a huge process to get refunded for non shipment. In the long run you have just tied up your credit or debit card for at least two weeks. If you ask the seller when they ship. They say tomorrow. You purchase and it doesn't get ship you get no further responses from the seller or if you do it's offensive to you. Yes very desperate sellers. The site is vast and just makes me realize how many lazy individuals are really out there. Stay at home people who don't have real jobs. Poshmark is a full time job. But really like a hamster on a spinning wheel going nowhere. Very crazy thing to get involved with.

I made four purchases on Poshmark & I will NEVER shop there again. First was a hand bag that smelled as if an entire bottle of perfume had been spilled in it so it was not usable for a year or so. Second was a shirt that was too small & the seller told me after I bought it, that she knew it ran small. Third was a jacket that the seller took the label out of so I could not see that it was 3 or 4 sizes smaller than what she advertised. Fourth was a pendant that was fine. So, 1 purchase out of 4 was ok. This is why their score is pathetically low.
