Purchased a Carryland bag. Described as from non smoking home. Right out of the box reeled of cigarette smoke. Used Fabreeze and aired out several times without luck. Contacted the seller who said they dont smoke. May be true but the bag may have cone from a different home (as in she bought it at a yard sale) Contacted customer service and was told that because I "cleaned" it, I cannot return it. I responded back but have been ignored.
I have made five attempts to purchase from Poshmark. The first, seller cancelled after many days of waiting because they 'couldn't find' the item. The second, came in with a defect that wasn't mentioned on the listing. Third, not a problem with item but the seller wouldn't respond regarding shipping and I was guessing for a few days as to whether or not this one was actually coming. Fourth, we were excited for a pair of shoes for my ten year old and when they arrived they were a size 7.5 and advertised as an 8.5. Had to make a special trip to PostalAnnex to return to seller and my daughter was rather disappointed because we needed them for a school function. Then, and this is the last time I'm using this site... I was told the shoe replacement I ordered for my daughter (because she wanted that style anyway) would be two weeks out. I just cancelled and will go buy in store today and pay the $15 difference. This isn't much of a bargain at this point anyway. I was singing this sites praises at first but the sellers really suck. Get it together!
I have been a LOYAL customer of Poshmark for many years. I was on vacation and somehow a seller charged my card for baseball cards I would never buy ( I don't buy cards or follow baseball) in the middle of the night. I was furious! I cancelled the order as soon as I saw the notification before it was shipped.
The seller shipped the cards and claimed I was on her page at 3 am ( I had much better things to do on my vacation). Poshmark is refusing to assist at this point. I am mortified. This is clearly fraud. Very disturbing.I am hoping they step up and resolve this matter as I feel I am at risk for this to happen again!
I placed an order I received it and it was not what I thought I was ordering. I took pictures of the item I purchased and sent it into Poshmark saying I wanted a refund. They sent me an email back saying they excepted my refund. But I still have not received my refund. I sent an email asking, where my refund is. I get an email back saying they can't find an order with my email. So I sent them my whole order. It's not much money but that's not the point. This site is a scam in my opinion. I'll never order again and will never recommend them. I'll stick to Amazon who has wonderful customer service.
I purchased an Emile Henry casserole and it came broken in hundreds of pieces. I never accepted the order and Poshmark took it upon themselves to accept the order. This is unacceptable. I'm an excellent customer and will not tolerate this so I'm not using them anymore
I'd advise everyone to avoid poshmark if your planning on mainly selling. I couldn't believe it when I had a bad rating from a buyer who was lying (I had proof) and there was nothing I could do about. They wasn't even asked to me provide proof! That one bad rating instantly had an affect on my sales, yet there's no way to dispute it. Also the fees are ridiculously high, to make anything from a sale you have to increase the price you sell it for. I will say some of the bad reviews poshmark has recieved on here aren't fair. They clearly state they don't do returns at all so the reviews that complain about not being able to return something is there own fault. Also claiming they got scammed and lost money after purchasing an item but admit the listing itself was confusing is not poshmarks fault. I see more and more lately just plain stupid. What is the world coming too I only did this review so there's at least 1 honest opinion/experience that is genuine and deserved rating for poshmark that's actually poshmarks fault
This site seriously lacks customer service: total trash and an absolute waste of time. Sell your items elsewhere and buy elsewhere. It's a shame b/c if they had a better grip on business practices, it could be a great place to unload gently loved items or get a deal on cute things to add to your closet. But again, a complete waste of time.
I purchased a shirt on Poshmark on 9 May. The seller lived 50 miles from me. My credit card was charged immediately. The same day, a UPS shipping label was created. Then, NOTHING happened. On 17 May, it still showed only a shipping label was created; Poshmark indicated it was in transit - a lie. I wanted to contact Poshmark, there IS NO phone number. So, on 17 May, I emailed Poshmark. I was informed the package was in transit (another lie) and I should wait until 20 May which, of course, was the weekend. On 22 May I emailed again demanding a refund. I also opened a dispute with my credit card. I was told it would take 10-14 days to process a refund. I said "bullsh*t", it does not take that long to process a refund. I received a refund the following day; 2 weeks after the original order date. What a waste of time. There's NOTHING posh about this site. They suck.
My item was not delivered. I let PM know right away that i had not received my item, still they take my money, insist that it has been delivered, and refuse to communicate with me. They are truly disgusting operators. I have pitched to expose them on YouTube channel - fashion scammers payback, and looks like that's going through next month.
Don't sign up for PM - you will regret it.
Ítem was advertised one size but it was defective and mislabeled. Was told it was non-returnable. STAY AWAY.
Sellers get squeezed for every little penny. The seller payment system is especially frustrating, specifically thanks to Poshmark charging fees to receive your money faster. The alternative? Direct Deposit, where your money is listed as 'processing' for days before actually landing in your account. Obviously it's a shady gimmick to get sellers to choose the 'fee based' payments. Hey Poshmark - it's the 21st Century, so make seller payments immediate, for free.
If you're wanting to buy pre-owned items with some sort of customer service and buyers assurance, Poshmark is not the place to go. I purchased a pair of earrings for $300 and they took 7 weeks to arrive. In the meantime reaching out to customer was a waste of time. Buyers be ware!
I sold a swimsuit, and the buyer said something was wrong with the elastic on the bottoms, and they crunched up the suit in pictures to make it look bad. In reality they didn't read the description and notice the bottoms were a bigger size than the top which was very clearly stated. I realized this because I looked at their previous orders and the size they needed was a size smaller. What a waste of my time and energy. I got it back and it was definitely a lie to get their money back. I also contacted customer service and got no response. I'm just done with this nonsense. I recommend selling somewhere else.
Have been with this app for many years. Love it. Only complaint, these posh show notifications IN APP are super ANNOYING... can't turn them off, and they drown out more valuable notifications. I know there are tabs at the top for different things, but I don't want my main one overrun with show invites! I wish they would fix this- or at least let you opt out. Please fix, poshmark!
I made 1st purchases with this place, and don't figure out how to put the free shipping in my order, When I tried to reach out to someone for help there was no available way to speak to someone for help. Sent several emails, but no response for many days and later told me they couldn't do it anymore. I believe this store is a scam, and I would definitely not recommend it. They stole money from my account, therefore I will unscrib them from my account and phone.
I have sold several things on Poshmark but buying and returning are an absolute nightmare! I bought a purse that turns out to be a fake and now I cannot resell it on their site. They have a nonexistent customer service. No one to talk too and just emails with the same gibberish response. It's ok for cheap reusable items but if you are looking for a valuable item:They do not verify their designer labels and YOU WILL BE STUCK WITH A WORTHLESS FAKE.
Poshmark makes it very difficult for buyers who receive the wrong item. They make buyers jump through all kinds of hoops in order for them to approve a refund (they don't even give the buyer an opportunity to receive the originally purchased item). They are awful and after having been a good customer I will be taking my business elsewhere... I advise not even getting started with them.
This is my review from the buyers point of view only. Poshmark has minimal customer service, very slow to respond. They put the burden of proof on buyers when receiving an item that is broken, not working, the wrong size or not as described. In the meantime, they do not mediate what sellers can write to you in their messages if buyers ask for a refund, return or just plain explain that their are not fully satisfied, which can be pretty upsetting.
An example of what happens on Poshmark:
You buy a watch. It doesn't work. The buyer can absolutely say: "oh but you didn't ask". Of course, it is common sense you didn't want to pay for a broken watch but "technically" you didn't ask if the watch worked.
So if you buy something it's pure luck if you get the item you ordered. Poshmark customer service will not do anything to ensure returns or compensation and sellers are not getting out of their way to find a compromise or offer you good deals that will leave both parties content.
That is a scam.
I include examples of a watch that doesn't keep time but I "didn't ask" and a pair of pants shortened to be unwearable compared to the store original but I "didn't ask" if it was unaltered and the regular size.
I have bought from multiple sellers, and I have only had one case of a bad-faith seller in that they were out to scam the buyer. Most sellers are selling clothes to make a small profit since Poshmark has a considerable commission off each sale. I advise someone who is a new posher to have a conversation with the seller under the public listing if you are unsure about the purchase. Make the seller state if there are any stains, defects, or sizing abnormalities.
The bad seller I did have an issue with listed a child-sized skirt under a woman's sizing. Poshmark sided with them after five days of review, so there is no safety net for buyers duped into buying children's clothes the seller listed under adult sizing. This is absurd as I uploaded a screenshot of the brand's size chart, but it was filed under a "fit" issue. No adult woman is going to fit into a small child's skirt.
Apr 30, '23, I ordered a $70 pair of boots *******@DONNERR but never rec'd any notification or tracking. Since my household have been ordering from Poshmark, frequently, I'd noticed something was amiss. I contacted the *******@Donnerr who swore she put the boots on the USPS's counter as she always have done in the past bragging, she's been with Poshmark for many of years. USPS informed me the boots NEVER were in their possession, Ever!. This was FRAUD. I will NEVER order from Poshmark with sellers like this on board. She tried to hustle me out of $70.00. Fortunately, Poshmark realized after 2 weeks, the seller NEVER sent any boots to me and refunded my money. My next step was to contact my bank and let them know as well Fraud was attempted utilizing my credit card.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
