My daughter ordered some items in December. When the package finally arrived, it was the wrong stuff. After a week of trying to get it resolved, were told two orders got crossed. We received mailing label to forward the package we got and were told the person who had our stuff got a label and would forward it too. We sent the package we had but still haven't seen our package and it's March. Last week we did receive a package from a different seller with more stuff we didn't order. And inside was a note to a different girl. How would this seller have a label with my daughter's name and doesn't she check the name of who she is mailing to with the order or the note she put inside? There's a reason I don't do business with 12 year olds!
Purchased a cute pair of rain boots. When I received them I tried them on and they ran small. I was told the seller did not false advertise and I was stuck with them because I should have known they run small. Hmm maybe I should have ordered a Crystal Ball First! Will Never use site Again!
I had a horrible experience with the customer service at Poshmark.com. They claimed that I did not ask any questions about the item when the seller posted a wrong picture online (deceitful). They will ignore the customer. Stay way, not worth it!
I had several good purchases from Poshmark but now have had two bad experiences that really tarnish my opinion of the site. One was a purchase that the seller never sent, the other was a purchase cancelled by the seller for no reason but "other" (yes, that is an option - ridiculous!) Fine, the site refunded. But there is no public negative feedback so that I can warn others that these sellers are unreliable. My items are still showing up in these sellers' closets as "sold", making them look good, but they weren't truly sold and the sellers aren't good. Until they develop a public feedback system that includes justified negatives, I will stick with eBay. Poshmark is too much of a gamble, and lets bad sellers stay to possibly mislead others.
I have had wonderful experiences on poshmark and the parties are fabulous. My first purchase was ok. I ordered 6pks of Marley braids and the seller kept bs-ing about shipping them. So I contacted poshmark and they said give her three days and I did... she kept giving me excuses. Poshmark sent my refund with shipping. They were prompt and efficient. I hope my next purchase will go as smooth as my recent one.
I have been on Poshmark for 3 years, and I can tell you that some individuals on Poshmark will try to take advantage of the people who price their items for a cheap price then go on eBay or another reselling app to "flip" the item. Moreover, I have had people buy my items then attempt to flaw the item or return it if it was deemed "un-resellable." They deem items un-resellable if it wasn't an item on trend or the resale value was low. Basically, if these resellers cannot make a profit off your item, they will attempt to do all sorts of return and stuff. Therefore, make sure that you thoughtfully write your listings with utmost transparency. I am just a bit disappointed that Poshmark allows these types of customers on here. Some of these resellers even dare to resell your items on Poshmark for a way higher price. It has really became a sourcing tool for resellers and not so much for customers to actually wear & enjoy clothing. I hope with the increase in shipping that it will perhaps deter resellers away from using this as a source of their inventory. My hope is that people will actually enjoy their purchases rather use them for profit.
Been on poshmark for months with no sell. Now I can't get into any parties. Guess I'm not good enough for the stuck up socialites.
They have parties and sometimes I'll try to join if I have an item the party is held for. Sometimes they tell me my item isn't eligible. I email "customer support" asking why that's happening, I get a form email saying they'll get back with me in a few days. Well, that's REAL helpful... Anyone who is giving this site more than 1 star either hasn't been on long enough, or hasn't needed customer support at all. I buy//sell on about 6 or 7 other sites, and they ALL have a phone # you can call to speak to a real person. Posh has total control over whatever payment you registered at the start. Ive gotten some good deals, but balanced with the selling problems, lack of customer support, too much "offering" a LOT less for my item, and too much "sharing" and "liking" without sales, the other sites are 100% better than this one. And they do take more money than most. On the other sites I do my own shipping and a lightweight item saves the customer a lot. What is happening with the extra $$? I'm assuming the post office refunds them overages. That's probably a lot of money. Look their corporate office up online. It says it's a great place to work. I'm sure it is!
At first it was a great way to sell, and buy things. But... as I stayed glued to my phone working what I felt was a full time job, sharing, sharing, and sharing again, trying to keep up with the Host Parties, blah, blah, the only people who are suggested users or do really well are the well-to-do. Their items are Host Picks, not yours! Their chosen as a Suggested User, not you. Some of these women are petty, holier-than-thou better than you and are quick to point out your mess ups and downfall. I got tired of the sharing to receive nothing. I worked my butt off keeping up with who shared what and how many of my things they shared so I would go and share theirs. And on and on and on. It's exhausting and exasperating. I deleted all of my items and deleted my Poshmark account. If you want women or girls to offer you cheap prices for your stuff, or either rich stuck up bit*ches to laugh at you, try Poshmark. Where you work your a** off for nothing. Poshmark sucks! I won't ever use it again. I will discourage any of my friends from using it as well.

I personally like Poshmark. I have made on purchase so far and before purchasing I asked the seller when she'd be able to ship, she shipped the next day. I also checked her sold listings too see if anyone commented about receiving and they did, I think it's a good idea to check the person out before purchasing. Also I checked out Poshmarks Protection information and they don't let your funds go to the person til you receive your item(s).
I was super excited when I found this rare Brandy Melville dress for only $15! I've seen alot of great deals on there.
I will definitely purchase from Poshmark again and I've even been thinking about selling on there.
Thinking about trying Poshmark? Don't DO IT! I did not get what I ordered. The site claims you will not pay until you receive your item. LIes all Lies! It is a scam. The charge came out of my bank account the day after placing the order. And I waited and waited and never received the boots I was so excited I had found online. The boots I ordered for my mother for Christmas. And the worse part is the hassle of trying to get someone from Poshmark to help respond, or even make me feel like anyone cares. Never ever again YOU SUCK poshmark!
Update: 3/12/15
I've now made a few sales and purchases on Poshmark, and for the most part, it has been a positive experience.
As a seller, the platform is incredibly easy to use - I print out a label, wrap the item, place it in free Priority Mail packaging at the post office, and away it goes. The site can be a time suck though: getting publicity for your items requires a lot of sharing, following, and activity on the site, so it might not be the best for somebody who wants to simply post items and wait for them to sell.
As a buyer, the items I've received have been great! Active sellers tend to respond and ship quickly.
I've discovered that there are a lot of abandoned closets on the site - so items appear to be for sale, but in fact, the sellers have lost interest or sold the items elsewhere. While Poshmark has been very good about prompt refunds for items that have not shipped, it might be better if there were a way to automatically delete closets that have had no activity in months.
I want to like Poshmark... I really, really do.
As a buyer, I still haven't successfully purchased anything through Poshmark. Still, I'm giving them three stars because the platform has a built-in feature that allows you to cancel after 7 days, and they've been prompt about refunding my money.
I also like the platform for selling: it's great for people like me who are too lazy to use ebay and don't necessarily need the money ASAP, but would still like to make a few bucks on nice clothes that don't get worn as much as they should.
More than anything, I like seeing what people post on Poshmark. Fashion isn't big where I live, and I like to see what people are up to!
***update 10/20/15. I must be insane, i keep going back. There can be great items on here. Just message the buyer to make sure they're active! Advice I need to take each and every time. Another flaw is that you can't tell what year an item was listed. If the current month is October and the listing date shows October, the item you want may have been listed last year and the PM account my now be abandoned. This has happened to me. For some reason the shipping (the post office end, not seller) is extremely slow. Reminds me of the old Parcel Post service*** I tried buying on poshmark as an ebay alternative and addition to threadflip. It hasn't worked for me. 1st, sellers get 7 days to ship! That's way too long. Over a couple months I've tried to buy 5 items. Only 1 seller shipped, the rest were finally cancelled. Still waiting on a coat to ship that I ordered 6 days ago I understand it's supposed to be fast paced, but the pictures are bad, if u get more than 1 and u rarely get a description--never buy w/o a description. I don't have time to go back and forth for more pics or measurements. I'm guessing sellers sign up, get no business, and forget to check in. It takes a few days for Posh customer service to get back to you, growing pains I guess. Shipping cost is reasonable tho, nowhere else can I ship heavy items for $4.99
At first I absolutely LOVED this site, but nearly everyone on there is trying to scam you. It is not an efficient way to make money, and a lot of people try using this site as their own business. Also, buyers are very cheap and go above and beyond to pinch every penny they can. Most people are very rude.
I purchased an item over a week ago, poshma r k has been non existent in helping I just keep getting the same response as it were copied and pasted. It's been over a week seller has yet to send my item or cancelled my purchase so I can receive a refund! Poshmart keep delaying it in hopes I'm assuming the seller will ship it! It's too close to Christmas for me to try and scrape more money to recoupe my loss. Soon as I get my money back I will never again visit this site. I work hard for my money and support 4 children I'm an honest buyer and why allow such foolery to continue. The seller still has items for sale with no repracussion for her actions. I'll stick to ebay and paypal!
Had high hopes for Poshmark, but can only describe it as exasperating. Sellers don't reply to questions & don't include item information with the pics. Not worth wasting time trying to buy on Poshmark.
Ahhh. If you are comfortable selling your brand new with tags Michael Kors bag for $40, then this site is for you! Even better, how about you trade your new Michael Kors handbag for... NOTHING. The other person doesn't send you the item you agreed to trade. While Poshmark discourages this, it is allowed to happen.
When I first found the site, I liked it. Today, it seems like a bunch of teenagers trying to trade their junk for your designer items or buy your designer items for 5% of their value.
No thanks.
The site is not very user friendly. You are not able to list with your computer. It is strictly app based with I find very inconvenient. If you want others to see your items, you have to manually share each. Individual. Listing. My fingers would throb when I was finished.
Customer service is fast and efficient and very good about refunding when you receive an item that is not as described. I've found some great deals and only had a couple of bad experiences buying.
Poshmark takes me back to high school. The "popular" kids get all the attention. Host all the parties, choose host pics. In other words, decide whose listings get special exposure.
Selling is not worth your time unless you are really hard up for cash and don't mind selling your items at values that are much, much lower than you'd receive at a consignment shop. After all the work to list and share, it's just not worth it. I've noticed they are making some changes so I will stick around a bit longer and see if it gets better.
Buying: You can find great deals but be careful, replicas are everywhere. Do your homework. My first purchase was a 100% authentic coach bag that the seller purchased herself from Coach. I didn't even have to take it completely out of the box to know it was fake... and a badddd bad fake. Posh was great about letting me return it though.
Stay away. They will not reply when you ask for support, buyers will keep your money and your items and Poshmark will not even try to help. Poshmark is only eager to collect their 20% commission. Underage buyers and sellersa allowed
Slow sales. Over the top commission deductions. If you sold $15 theyll take 2.95 instead of 20% whats the difference? 5cents!. Lol. Then $16-up is 20% deductions. The buyer pays for shipping of 5.95 total of 5lb.if you sold more than 5lbs, seller pays the difference. Buyer always ask the impossible low ball you never seen before make you feel that you rather donate it.So if you sold $6 then less 2.95 = 3.05 is yours. Youll drive to post office or take the train in nyc for 2.75 one way. Then you go back and pay again, youll get a total of losing your profit plus paying more.So never sell one item thats not worth selling for. Sell brandnew and in bulk is the only solution but you will wait a thousand year to be sold. I prefer Mercari than this shark poshmark. Although theres a lot of scammers but it depends on what you buying.NO fee. Your payment is not release unless you receive and happy with your item.If you are selling you have an option of shipping it yourself. So goodluck! But i wont never recommend Poshmark
Great site for new or used clothing, jewelry, shoes and accessories! You can get some really great deals on lots of these items.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
