Taking 20% as commission is JUST TOO HIGH and on top of that, increase in shipping $5.95 while shipping does not stay true to its 2-day priority promise. Usually arrives later than 2 days so why pay the high price? Not good to sell. I still would recommend it as a buyer but just not to sell.
Best app. I have downloaded! I got great deals on many clothes and can sell anything I want! Once you download just use my code JSGES when yoy sign in and you get $5 off your first purchase! There is all the brands you can think of!
Posh now charges. 95 more for shipping charges. They try to find ways to take more money every single day. Nothing but a rip off.
I started using Poshmark about a month ago. I found a " Kate spade ". Bag that I really liked. I asked the seller is this bag authentic? Of course, she said yes. When I receive the bag it was made of cheap rubbery fake leather and didn't even have Kate Spade on the inside. Obviously a fake. I reported it to posh Mark, they came back three days later saying that it was authentic. Word to the wise, don't buy any designer Products from that site. Posh Mark customer service does not care if it's fake or not. Also if you have any kind of issue, good luck having a conversation with them. There's a three day Time lapse in between each one of their emails to you.
Was trying to make a purchase on Poshmark. I checked the Paypal option. My order would not go through using Paypal. There is nothing wrong on my end. I tried calling Poshmark customer
Service several times and the number was always busy. Why would Poshmark offer Paypal as payment option for customers when it is not an option. I will spend my money somewhere else. R
Poshmark is a cluster you know what.
For a 20% sellers commission fee, and yes the $5.95 they charge the buyer on top of it (can you say GREEDY?) I expected their dispute resolution and their customer service to be slightly less horrible. The internet as we all know is full of scammers and liars, you sell an item on PM and have to hold your breath that you're not about to get scammed, but sometimes you do. Their "process" basically allows the buyer to make any wild unsubstantiated claim (one recently ripped apart a pair of brand new with tags leggings I sold, then said they arrived that way) and all the buyer has to do is take a pic, send it to PM (which they NEVER share with the sellers who are kept in the dark or allow us the opportunity to respond) before they rule in the buyer's favor. I keep losing not just money, but the items that get damaged due to fraud. Customer service is slow and unhelpful for the most part, they simply ignore emails when it's not in their benefit to deal with the issue. Avoid.
I've been a posher since April of last year. They charge 20% commission! And 5.95 shipping for the buyer. I sold a lulu lemon jacket for $35 and the buyer had to pay $41 (with shipping) and I only earned $28. How is this fair? You have to waste your paper and ink to print out the shipping label and gas to drop off the mail box and poshmark literally get 20% commission plus the $5.95 shipping. I honestly don't think usps charges poshmark $5.95 for shipping. They might be stealing from us poshers.
I've been a shopper and a seller on Poshmark off and on for 3 years, and it's really changed for the worst. They now charge $5.95 for shipping and the huge amount of counterfeit purses is becoming ridiculous! For what they charge sellers why can't they hire someone to authenticate listings! I can go through and find dozens on any given day of fakes that are being sold as authentic. Very OBVIOUS knock offs! And the newest annoying trend of people listing under designer names is annoying as well ( for views) they say. I'd never buy from someone that dishonest and I've reported it several times to Poshmark support.
Overall the idea is great. You post, you sell, you ship. Originally PM attracted me because I was falling out of love with Thredflip. TF lost a few of my shipments. One was valued at over $1,200. Never recovered that.
PM had a lower selling fee. Makes sense since they do little to get you to a sale. Recently they raised their shipping. 5.95 is ok, and the buyer pays which was another attraction for me BUT most of the time the cost of shipping the item priority or first class is less than the service they use. Significantly less. I would prefer to choose the shipping method and enter a tracking number for the buyer.
USPS has rerouted items to PR and lost a pair of shoes completely, so it is not like we get better service for the price. At this point I feel like I am paying too much to sell, they are keeping too much from the shipping and it is too much work. But other than ebay I'm not seeing an alternative.
I ordered a red penelope purse I am thrilled with the purse great condition. Seller was so very pleasant to work and also shipped very fast. I am new to poshmark and have had wonderful experience with seller and product. I would definitely purchase again.
Sincerely,
Kansas
I have been buying and selling on Poshmark for over 6 months. I have had to get Money back with assistance of Poshmark which ended successfully. I have had 90% good experiences. The sellers I have had dealings with have represented their products accurately. I have learned to ask questions and check descriptions carefully. I am an honest seller I ship out in one day, I wish everyone else did this too. It is a great way to clean out your closet, hopefully those who are misrepresenting themselves will have the benefit of using this site will be removed.
I purchased a skirt on poshmark, I never receive my item person selling claims they shipped it and had tracking info but postal service never received I'm still waiting for a refund
They take 20% off any purchase over $5 and charge $5 shipping so if you have small items poshmark makes them either impossible to sell or free. The pictures have to be edited before you upload them to poshmark for a guaranteed fit. If you use poshmarks camera it blurs the picture after taking it. If you have any issues, it takes 4 weeks to resolve. I sent out 2 packages at the same time accidentally swapping the items, its been 11 days and i still dont have it resolved because whoever you are emailing at the response center takes 2 days to reply. They explained how they would be sending me labels, why are you sending me the label when the women have the items? Its like they are mentally challenged over there. I cannot understand how a company who charges so much commission to sell your items does not have a call center for support. This is ridiculous. I think im ready to delete poshmark.
Tried to call to get info on my order not shouting up and no tracking info for 3 days. Can't get any help
Ok this is my second review about Poshmark.
Look at the advertising in Poshmark made me to think what are we doing?!
The idea was to empty our closet not filling them more with more junks from Alibaba!
Now we are begging to compete with bunch of disposable brands from new comanies in overseas!
This company says one thing and does another. When they made money off of me they were fine with the items I sold, when a buyer disputed a sale they all of a sudden did not support the items I was selling. Funny though they never returned the profit they made off of my "unsupported item"! Their customer service is a joke!
Received an item and wanted to return, Poshmark asked for images and described my dissatisfaction. I have not heard a word from them and they deducted money from my account.
They just want the money!
Nope!
Not dealing with Poshmark again!
Like everyone else suggests, go to consignment stores.
This site sounds like a win-win situation but when a problem arises you are basically out of luck. There is no support.
This site is a joke. You are better off at a consignment shop, ebay, etc.
I don't recommend Poshmark to anyone.
At some point a situation will arise and you will find yourself screwed.
Customer Service took 3-4 days to contact me about an item that was supposed to be returned to me from a buyer.
I get a notification that my item has been delivered back to me and the funds were returned to the buyer.
I never received my item back and not only lost the sale but also the item as well.
I am so upset with the lack of support on their end. I will never deal with this site again.
I buy stuff and 5 mins later its cancelled because the person sold on another site for smaller commission... happens alot
Not worth it
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
