I've been buying and selling on postmark for about a year. Very pleased and happy with the whole process. It's very simple to post items and of course ASK QUestions. I've never been disappointed:-)
Posher/seller on site with user *******@ebaywizard posts fraudelent and false advertised high end jewelery. There are several complaint comments from purchasers of her items and this sellers solution is to block you. I along with other Poshmark sellers have complained and reported the fraud activity to Poshmark and they do nothing about it. They profit from the sale and do not reimburse the bad faith sale and no reprocussion to the seller committing the fraud. She continues in business and Poshmark continues to benefit from her fraudulent sales.
Only been on this site a few days. They don't always answer offers, bloated prices. Better prices, negotiations on EBay.
I purchased a pair of shoes that were advertised as a size 8. When I get home after vacation, I open them up, and they are a size 7... They refuse to give my money back because I didn't submit a "return email" in 3 days. I was not home! It is not my fault I was sold a shoe that was wrongly advertised!
I ordered a coach bag off the site and it was smaller than I expected. When I tried to return it I was told I couldn't as it was as stated. The seller said it was not her decision but the people who run the site. Who are they to say no to a return? Everyone one takes returns. I never used it and was paying the return postage. Never again. Terrible experience. And the seller also got nansty with me. With all the sites out there I would rather buy on a reputable one. This one is garbage!
I have been using Poshmark for a couple months now and have both sold and purchased items using the site. If you market your stuff well, they're almost sure to sell. Same with buying. I only buy from poshers who I see have good reviews, and I love everything I've gotten! I did have one seller not ship my item. Poshmark emailed me after a week or two and offered me a full refund. Overall, I say this is a great website/app for buying and selling clothing.
Best part of Poshmark are these amazing referral invite codes. When you download it you give them the code JSYDI and you get $10 to spend and $1 shipping, and that's what I did. Best part!
I have a hard time wrapping my head around why anyone uses PM. Ive been buying and selling on ebay for years and at first the app sounded appealing until I actually downloaded it and was shocked by what i found. Mandatory $6 for shipping? On TOP of a 20% commission fee? What?!?! That's insane, beyond insane. The only good thing about PM is the ease of finding what you're looking for, but with the cons of bad customer service (which shouldn't be an issue with how much $$$ they're making), fees, ridiculous shipping and the amount of scammers selling counterfeits there is no valid reason to sell on here. Buying maybe, but given that sellers have to hack up the prices to make any money at all most of what I've found isn't worth it.
Bought a pair of shoes on Poshmark. The seller cancelled and resold to someone at a higher price without ever contacting me :/ In fairness after I contacted her she offered to let me buy them at an EVEN HIGHER price but I was pretty much done at that point. I am sure there are great buys on Poshmark but I am going back to ebay. This was my first and last purchase attempt. Poshmark doesn't even let you leave reviews unless a purchase was completed. The app should regulate things like that more or at least let you leave a review mentioning what happened. What a bummer
If you're willing to put in the work, you will get an amazing pay-out! I've made over $100 on this site!
I joined the site super excited. Sold over ten items and saw only 10$. Support is terrible and although my checking acct# is accurate my routing# was not. Posh kept all my sales revenue save that $10 and despite saying that it will all be returned to my account as it was still in their's I have yet to see a penny. I'm still waiting so I guess the 20% Fede they charge is more like a 100%.
I thought that this app will reduce the price and give me items more reasonable that the actual price. This app was bs... Do not recommend downloading or visiting, the price is reduce by about $5 maybe, still crazy expensive, some sell for more than the original, and you might as well buy a brand new item then go on here to look for reduced retail.
I do believe that PM is crazy expensive and not worth selling on especially since people are uncomfortable buying due to high prices( that unfortunately you have to make high to make anything). Buyers tend to complain or make lowball offers due to high shipping and seems to complain to the sellers as though it's their fault. Selling on PM can be an extremely slow process and I'm assuming due to how expensive it is because when I browse I find my self really hesitant. Also PM did not refund me my money for a purchase that was not as described but instead offered me $7 credit for something I paid $15 for. I definitely think they are a greedy company with no true care for its users. So since I denied their offer they never refunded me. I still browse around some but may just delete the app because your not getting much a deal unless your bundling items due to the high shipping. Also you do have to be careful what you buy on there, if you choose to buy on there I recommend you read the reviews for each seller. Some people just don't ship your items at all which happened to me twice and that sucks because I really wanted both items. Customer services isn't the best either and hopefully you have a posher willing to work with you. Be cautious but also know there are some good sellers on there who enjoy what they do. I would recommend Mercari it's way less expensive, flexible shipping and no commission fee.
I am new. That's why I only give it a 3. But I will update this review as soon as I have several transactions from them. I have purchased an item two days ago and it still have not shipped. I understand that PM gives the seller up to 7 days to ship your order. I am crossing my fingers. I paid more than what I should have. I am a little apprehensive because what I should have done is buy an inexpensive item and see how it all works. I do not plan to sell thru PM. I'm just buying. I also sent an email to customer support regarding PM payment options. That was 3 days ago, no response as of yet. Can you tell me if PM accepts PayPal to purchase an item. I just read it under their FAQS that using PayPal to make a transaction is considered an "offline transaction" and does not cover the Posh Protect policy. However, during the checkout it gave me two options either add a credit or debit card and PayPal. I am just a little confused. I want to make it right to make sure I'm covered by their policy should the transaction or my purchase won't go right. Thank you.
I can't understand all the complaining up here. Yes, PM takes a 20% commission and yes, the mandatory shipping is usually $5.95 per item, but that's all very clear when you sign up. I've bought and sold several items through PM with no problems that you wouldn't see selling elsewhere too (I'm an eBay seller as well). So if you don't like the commissions and shipping costs, don't use the service. If you order something and it's not shipped with the mandatory week, cancel the order and move on with your life. It's not the end of the world. Shipped something and the buyer claims you sent the wrong thing? Try to work it out through the dispute process and if you can't, again, move on. It's not like people are selling $10,000 cars up here. If these kind of things bother you that bad, maybe online selling isn't for you. Anyway, my PM experience has been good and I intend to keep using the service with the understanding that nothing is perfect, including the people who work for PM.
I have been on poshmark for 6 months now. At first it seemed like the perfect app. I have a lot of items in my closet that I've wanted to sell but never got around to doing through eBay or consigning. Poshmark made it easy. Up until the point I have a buyer saying I didn't send the correct item. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what's wrong. Still haven't heard from poshmark the details, just the general message that they have photos. Well anyone can take a photo of just about anything. But I've maintained a 5 star status up to this point. After I get this issue resolved I'm going back to eBay. It's too much stress for this to be a hobby and way to make money off my own property. They get 20% but only communicate through email or through app messages.
Ebay is bad at times too seller don't give honest review of the item they sell also you pay shipping and they take money of the top witch they don't tell you, I think all apps have there good and bad people. This app is not to bad only got one item that I regret others were fine.
I recently start on this site trying to sell but of course order some staff. So far so good! Received what was described. One thing awful is they allow to bargain it down, after 20% their profit there is nothing left, Oh well, that's more time wasted than received in return on sales.
I love to shop at poshmark because its easy, Fast service and everything so simple.
Quick shopping is possible and very Fast shipping. Also fun to shop at other user's clothes.
Its Simple shopping experience and quick... Not like ebay or other shopping site.
Love to shop at poshmark ~!
There is constant drama going on with Wildfox and other "haute couture" brands. There is tons of harassment you have to endure from buyers before Poshmark does anything and they usually do nothing. Have an issue? There's no number to call. You have to do it all through email and you only get blanket statement emails that often aren't personal to your issue at all. There are scammers and people looking to take advantage of you at every turn, including Poshmark itself which takes 20% yet offers the worst customer service on the planet. Go back to eBay, folks!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
