I had several bad experiences on Poshmark. People advertising things that I ordered and paid for and then they never sent the clothing! I would have leave comment after comment to try and get their attention. And Poshmark basically washes their hands of the situations. The final straw was I received a dress that was misrepresented in size and when I tried to return it the seller balked and became a little "unstable". I then just said forget it and left her a one star rating with an honest review. She then began to "stalk" me on my profile page leaving nasty comments about my character! WTF. I cancelled my account. This is NOT A GOOD SITE. Stick with Amazon and ebay - way more professional and timely! Thanks for reading my review.
I rated Poshmark five stars it is an exceptional buying and selling app that I highly recommend.
So pretty new to the app and instantly got hooked! Thought what better way to make a little more money than having a garage sell. Sold 2 items, a blouse (no complaints) and a Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Wallet (the complaint). I had purchased this wallet from Macy's for $168 (not including tax) and listed the wallet on Poshmark for $50. If you ask me, the wallet was in pretty good condition for being a "used" wallet. Well low and behold... I get an offer for $40. Boom! I accept. Wallet gets mailed out the very next day. I then get a "comment" from the buyer that says the wallet has more "defects" then listed. And that she is going to request a return through Poshmark. Ummmm first off... I didn't even "describe" the item. There were photos to look at. Second... if she wanted to know the specific condition of the wallet... she could've asked (like one did) and I could have answered all her questions to make sure the wallet was to her standards. Long story short. I get an email from Poshmark saying that they are sending the wallet back to me because she sent photos of the "defects". I think this is such BIG BS! What if this buyer damaged the wallet? What if she received the wallet and just decided it wasn't what she wanted so she ruins it and sends photos to Poshmark saying that's how she received it? This is where Poshmark sucks. All sales should be final unless it's a fake item being listed. Why did she not ask questions like she did on all the other items she purchased. On another note... I've emailed Poshmark about this issue requesting someone contact me regarding this matter. No response. Have emailed them several times and no response either. Do yourself a favor and download Mercari. At least they don't take a percentage of your sells.
I started using posh 02/2016 &have bought over $1000 in items. VERY ADDICTING! Lol
I dont understand why the ratings are so bad, ive only had two problems and they were solved quickly and to my liking. #1 Although the items ship tracking stated my item arrived i never received it, they gave me about a week to see if it came then reimbursed me shipping & item cost! #2 I ordered an item and the seller never sent it out, posh allows you to cancel the order after 7 days. I did so & again was reimbursed every penny! They always reply by email within 48 hours. There are bad apples (users) out there so I NEVER buy from first time sellers or use paypal. When purchasing anything over $100 i stalk the users comments under previous sold items. Ive sold 7 items so far, no problems there what so ever! Check out my page!@driscillarc
A user bought my item on Sunday and I mailed it Monday and she received item Wednesday. Gave me a 4 star review because of ship time and that I wasn't responsive. She never asked me any questions or anything that I would of had to be responsive to. I think shipping the item 1 day after someone purchases it is pretty fast if you ask me. And I can't dispute the rating like you can do on eBay. To me it's not fair. In Poshmarks policy it says they allow the seller 7 days to ship item. Maybe the buyer hasn't read through the FAQ on Poshmark but give me a break.
I found the cute shoes I was looking for in my size--7.5. I eagerly awaited the package's arrival and found the shoes to be in like-new condition, exactly as they were presented by the seller. HOWEVER, the shoes were 7.5W and I would never have ordered a wide width shoe! I went back to the listing to see if maybe I had overlooked something but no where in the listing did it mention they were wide width. I contacted customer service via e-mail, wanting to resolve the issue since I was instructed to "accept" my order within three days of receipt. No response. So, the next day I sent a second e-mail and finally received a response chastising me for sending the second e-mail. "Thank you for your e-mail. We sure do appreciate you reaching out to us. Rest assured that we've received your message and strive to respond within 1-2 business days. Please note that there is no need to send more than one e-mail and sending additional e-mails may result in a delayed response."
I also received an e-mail telling me that my package had been delivered and to please accept my order so the funds could be released to the seller. This first (and last) transaction has not been a good experience, except for the quick response of the seller herself. Live and learn, I guess.
I had 2 different sellers take forever to ship my items. Poshmark states you can cancel after 7 days if the seller hasn't shipped your order however after contacting the site to report the sellers, poshmark never even gave me that chance they just sent an email back to me 2 days later saying we tracked your purchase and its now shipped. Sellers are rude and don't respond once you order. The site is full of fakes even though Poshmark states that fakes are not allowed. Buyer Beware! If you sell on this site anything over $15 and poshmark takes 20%! And buyers want something for nothing and keep asking for you to lower prices that are already basically giving it away, I assume because most closets are full of knockoffs so the seller is listing theirs way cheaper since its from china and not the real thing. Bottom line, bad site whether your a buyer or seller. Stick with ebay!
I started selling on poshmark in hopes that I might be able to save up enough to buy my dream purse second hand from their website. Well, I was bullied and harassed by other users. This might be okay if you're a mean girl who likes drama, but I'm too nice for that kind of thing.
Please do not order from this person. She will put her phone number and sell artsy bag bag but she doesn't send the item and ask you to pay through money gram or western union. She stole my 1500. I just report her to the police. Please put this women to jail.
This App is terrible and I would not recommend joining it to anyone. I went on as a buyer to sell gently used clothes of well known brands for less (ex Wildfox, free people, mink pink)... Someone reported my item as counterfeit and without even looking into it posh mark just believed them and sent me a very condescending email.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SELLER SHE IS A FAKE! Her name *******@laurenhicks96 To be honest I am very upset with this seller. I am SO upset because I ordered two things from this seller but as a bundle on April 22,2016. I received the first item on April 26,2016 which I was pretty happy about although the dress looked very worn out. The reason why she only sent one dress right away was because she said that she couldn't send the other dress right away because she couldn't find the other dress because she wasn't home because she was in college and her mother was looking for the dress for her. Which led her to asking if she could send the other dress later on. Which i was like okay, because i can understand that. && then 3 weeks gone by and she still didn't send it. I messaged her a couple times after saying that i didn't get the dress that she said that she will send but then she ignored me. And then I messaged her mother on facebook on may 24,2016 and then she finally replied back to me in the rudest way talking about how her grandfather died and that she would send it to me the next day which was on May 25. So i was like okay. Ill be patient and wait another week. And today which is june 4. I still didn't receive anything in the mail. I honestly feel so scammed by her, so if you're a buyer be careful because she scammed me.
Bought four items from seller " timetopawssc" Seller never shipped the items. After 30 days Poshmark automatically cancels listings that have not completed. Going through this sellers reviews I find a number of similar comments from buyers regarding the non shipment of purchased items. Check closed sales for comments/feedback for sellers before you buy. Poshmark took no action to correct this problem.
Follow all posh rules and you shouldn't have a problem.
It's still possible to get scammed, but if you follow posh rules you're lessening your chance of getting scammed. I was scammed once, because I didn't follow posh rules. I traded. And trading items, you're not covered by posh.
It's safe. Fun. Easy to use.
Just remember to ask questions. Read the sellers "Love notes" section in their "about" section. Make sure you read ALL of Poshmark's rules.
Poshmark states that you cannot return an item if it simply doesn't fit as long as you received it exactly as described by the seller.
Just reposh it if it doesn't fit. I'm doing that with a pair of shoes. Yes, I put it up for more than what the seller sold it to me for, but I want my money back (including shipping) that I paid for the item. That's the only reason. I just want to break even on it. Not looking to make a profit on that item.
It's a buyer beware site.
There are replicas sold on there. Most sellers are honest when they have a replica item. They'll tell you about it, but some are not. Do your research and just have fun.

I'm a big seller on ebay, and have been for 15 years. I usually sell about 200 shoes and clothing items per month. Last fall I discovered another app site where I sell name brand clothing items. I actually sell about half of everything on there... I don't want competition so won't mention the site. I listed 85 items on Poshmark in the last month and sold 5! I keep getting likes and followers. Big deal! I want to sell stuff. I really think it's a horrible site to sell on. Too many sellers and not enough buyers. Plus 20% in fees is outrageous
NPLIT-code for 10$
First, I think it's a cool place to buy things super cheap and convenient. I've found things 80-90% off, which helps me a lot.
Second, scammers are big. So research their bios, comments, and check the pictures. If they look like all pictures are online. It's a no. And just don't trade, I've read tons of stories and 90 out of 100 have been scammers. And be careful if they try to have you buy it on a different website. Just sketchy.
Lastly, I love it, because I'm causeous. Just be smart guys and you'll find legit things for an amazing price.
So I ordered a blouse from real real. Com. A clothing seller. Somehow poshmark got our account information and charged us three consecutive days causing an overdraft on our account costing us $110.00 iin bank fees. We are filing with the better business bureau and consulting an attorney for a class action law suit.
This app is seriously the worst selling/buying app ever! Poshmark will delete all your listings for no reason, and not warn you ahead of time. Their customer service is also so bad. They take ages to respond. They stated it's against the policy for selling replica items yet there are TONS of people selling replica items and Poshmark is not doing anything to it, but punishing the good people.
I have made a decent amount of money on poshmark but I do agree that it is a sketchy place to buy and sell. You can only hope that people have the decency and morals to ship what you ordered in the condition that they say it is. Aside from all of the sketchy sellers there are also many sketchy buyers, there is absolutely no protection for buyers if they send an item out in perfect condition and the buyer breaks it and claims it was shipped to them broken. This happened to me with a pair of swimsuit bottoms that I shipped in perfect condition to a buyer who tried them on, (was obviously a larger size) and broke the straps, then claimed it was shipped to them that way. Then I am left with no money & a broken swimsuit that I can no longer sell! WTF this is telling buyers that if something doesn't fit them they can't return it but if it doesn't fit and they ruin it they can send it back! Very unfair. Also the 20% for this horrible customer service is ridiculous, you get hassled into selling perfectly new items for less than they're worth
First of all you cannot get anyone on the phone because they do not offer that service. When you send an email you don't even get a response. I sold a pair of true religion jeans. I took a picture of the label so there would be no discrepancy about the size. The person who "bought" my jeans said the size does not fit her. So she told PoshMark that I did not report the size correct way. How can I be any more clear then taking a picture of the label? Now she is not going to pay for the jeans. Posh Mark will not respond to my emails so now I am with out my VERY EXPENSIVE jeans and my money. It is absolutely sickening that they're just allow someone to steal from honest people. Especially when their policy states that you cannot return because it just does not fit you
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
