Beware of Poshmark there are some scammers just got scammed by a girl named Hailey Hild took my money and never sent item 2 weeks have passed said she mailed obovisouly lied said there was flooding in PA okay lol I knew she was lying right there PA was not involved in recent hurricane incident. This girl thought she could lie to me and then blocks me after I figured out her little game. FYI be careful who you buy from there are scammers in this world be careful
As other reviewers have stated Poshmark's customer service is the worst. They allow buyers to return items damaged. There is NO protection for sellers against unethical buyers who can return items they damaged. I wouldn't have a problem with someone returning something because of buyers remorse, but NOT after they damaged the item, that just crazy. Poshmark actually sent me a email saying give a better description of the item next time...(WTH?) the pictures posted show the item with ZERO damage. They never asked me to send pictures proving the item wasn't damaged they just allowed the buyer to return the item. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE & I'M DONE SELLING ON POSHMARK!
Poshmark is great until you have a problem. As many others have already stated the customer service is virtually non-existent.
As a seller I give Poshmark an F. There is ZERO protection for sellers against unethical buyers who can easily return items for little to no reason other than buyers remorse. There have even been cases where the purchaser has destroyed an item in order to return it (I implore you to Google seller reviews and read the horror stories before you decide to start selling on their site). If a buyer opens a case against you as a seller you have zero opportunity to present evidence or dispute their claims.
In fact, you don't even have a clue as to why the case is being opened as Poshmark does not allow you to view what the allegations are.
You just have to hope all of your buyers are honest. For such a high sellers fee you'd think the customer service would be a little better.
I purchased an item 7 days have come and gone seller still has not shipped it now I have to wait 21 days to get my money back don't waste your time with this website no one to contact they don't care
I started getting email notifications from the site as if I were a seller. The info inside the notifications, such as my alleged name and mailing list, were obviously phony so I contacted the company and said they had the wrong email address for the listed seller. They apologized and said they'd try to fix it but of course, they never did. I finally figured out that since my email address was listed as the contact info, I could go in and change the account info... which I did. I did observe that there was no way to cancel the account online (which is also suspect) so I just changed the email address.
My cautionary note to others is spend your money elsewhere. I have no idea if the bid notifications I was getting were legit or just some type of spam/phishing scheme, but if they were real, there are probably some disappointed potential buyers out there.
The first thing I tried to buy off of Poshmark was a pair of ballet flats (by a now defunct brand, so they are rather rare) and the sale was cancelled (with my $ refunded) as the seller never bothered to mail out the shoes. That should have been an indication to me just how flakey some sellers can be. More recently, I have had sellers decline very fair offers, and some sellers don't even RESPOND to offers at full asking price.
Likewise, most sellers do not respond to my questions in their comments section about size, measurements, etc. And the "newest scam" seems to be that half the items I bid on are actually "unavailable"; either the seller cannot locate them or they have actually sold them elsewhere (like on eBay). This has happened to me 3 times in a row, and even more annoyingly: Poshmark's policy on this is that they 'refund' you your $ via your 'redeemable Poshmark balance' (vs. Refunding your credit card directly). At this point, I'm pretty much done using this site, and am therefore downgrading my review from 2 stars down to just 1.
No matter how I try I'm denied access. I tried to contact someone to help and still denied. At a last resort I fb them. But it shouldn't be this difficult to spend your hard earned money!
I love Poshmark! I have been selling on it for about a year now. Sales depend on many factors. You need to share your items if you want them to be viewed/purchased. It can be a bit of a hassle if you have a busy life AND want to sell some things, but if you follow and follow people, (and receive many follows & shares in return) you will not have a problem getting views on your items. It can take a bit to get there but its worth it once you get sales. I do wish they would make it easier to share items instead of doing so one by one! As for customer service, I've never had an issue. But I am in lots of FB groups for Posh, and have seen many people with issues (like people trying to scam them) but once they email posh support, it gets fixed fast and they get their funds back. They also just added a Kids & Men section, so you can now sell kids clothing and men's clothing. The only real complaint I have about it is they take 20% off each item you sell. Which is a bit high depending on the items. The shipping rate IS high, however when you make bundle purchases (purchases of 2 or more items) it makes it worth it especially with bundle discounts!
What a lot of reviewers here don't seem to understand, is that Poshmark is one big marketplace with tons of mini shops from different people. Before making a purchase, it's recommended that you look at their "love notes" (reviews). Ask questions about the items to the seller before purchasing. If one seller doesn't provide you with an order that you wanted, it's not Poshmark's fault, it's the seller's fault. If your order is taking long to ship, comment/ask the seller why it's taking so long, not posh! The majority of these reviews are people who bought 1 thing without even thinking about asking details, had an issue, and are here to blame Posh (not the seller) for what happened instead of attempting to fix the problem with the seller, or finding a seller with tons of great love notes and buying from them instead.
*******@clairelynnp143
I ordered 2 items from same seller. I paid, Poshmark took money immediately. Seller never shipped items, never responded. That can happen, time to time, I understand. That itself is not Poshmark's fault.
However, when I asked Poshmark if I can leave negative review for that seller, Poshmark said buyers can only review items which they received, not for sellers for not shipping or not responding. I looked up the same seller and the account is active as well as items.
It makes me think Poshmark actually wants to keep bad sellers (possibly some fake sellers) so buyers would pay and Poshmark can hold money for longer period than transactions successfully completed (item received on time). Poshmark can take money immediately and holds money during waiting time and can processes refund later (which is not processed immediately at all) so they can use cash by themselves. They play with money they are holding. They probably keep bad sellers purposely so they can take money and can refund later.
If that's not their intend, they should certainly mark sellers who are non-responsive and/or non-responsible (to ship items) clearly for another future buyers, so other buyers would not buy from such seller. Poshmark certainly refused to do that. They have own self-beneficial reasons to keep bad sellers active.
Tons of selections, colors, sizes! Very organized. Items look almost brand new. Fair prices, so much fun looking through the site! My new favorite place to shop!
So bad, so unfair, so much about their earnings. I wasted a year of my life learning these lessons. Mannish is an imaginary non-american reaping benefits from hard working Americans! So wrong, so Donald Trump!
I am a posher since last 10 months with 4.9 rating, today had bad experience buyers are not always nice. One gal asked me brand new steve maddan shoes which was listed at $20 priced to go (used once are liated at $30-35) she asked for $13 i told her i can do $20 its already priced low she bought shoes, i packed it nicely and sent it off to her and she first complained that shoes are big they are not size 6.5, i told her different brand shoes fit differently on feet and they are indeed size 6.5 (i have all images) well i sent her brand new shoes and she opened a case that shoe has a stain and she wants to return those, since ahe opened case i sent all detailed pictures of shoes with sizing and all but still i received an email that shoes does have stain and they are closing case, really so i feel offeneded when i didnt do anything wrong, buyers can cheat you, i can buy a t-shirt on poshmark and put paint on it and say it was stained... people can be so mean. But every one has to pay their bad doings here itself, poshmark need to understand seller part as well because you guys are taking 20% off of our selling..
FROM NOW ON Buyers if I don't trust you IM CANCELLING YOUR SALE! I have a right to ask for references before a sale. If you have shades on to block your face im cancelling the sale. If I don't know you for at least a week OR you try to lower ball im cancelling the sale. I need proof or refs why you are trustworthy person or feedback otherwise no go. ALL shady instances I mentioned reasons why you will be denied and blocked. I will also be scanning people to block. Also I do not owe you anything if you try to steal. Finally all items sent back to me will have a video taken before opened, and if need you try to scam they will be FORWARDED to proper law enforcement in your state will be CONTACTED! Im sorry it has to come to this but with such a faulty program, I mean app like Poshmark (Indian based business) that decides to have an almost non existent support or no contact phone. I have to set my own rules to keep the trustworthy people in and shammers out that jump the gan and open cases right when their item is received! I will now be nitpicky, size people up and randomly block and choose who I sell to. I keep pride in my branded items and if you want to shop my closet you better be real. I Just made a backup of my closet (photos of my items if I need to transfer to a different site) + the top buyers. Dismissed
I bought a dress, shoes, a boho hat and pair of stocking Packer hats. All orders were completed. The only thing I would do differently when buying shoes or dresses is order 1/2 bigger. But I only but new with tags for the most part. I LOVETHIS SITE
I recently sold an authentic Louis Vuitton Papillon 30 with mini bag for $375!. The buyer accepted it with no problem so funds were released to my account! Few hours later I receive an email that my listing were removed because the bags I already sold and accepted by the buyer with no complaints are replica or counterfeit! I was furious since I know Damon well my bags were authentic and I have the paperwork to prove it! Anyway I emailed customer service to clarify the issue and all I've gotten so far is multiple generic responses that selling counterfeit are against the law and they will not release my $375 single email the bag was counterfeit! I'm not sure where they are getting their facts or they just pulled it out of their $#*!! So frustrating and unprofessional people! They have the audacity to steal money from honest sellers and accuse you with false allegations! I've never encountered such this as this! Horrible site! They are out to steal money whichever way they can! They should be sued and out of business! Bunch of scams!
I made a purchase in good faith and when it arrived it was not even close to the right size. I have been trying to return it and have my purchase price refunded, but they are stalling and making me go through hoops I have no way of complying with.
There is no adjective to describe poshmark. I have been robed of my hard earned money, I don; t see who someone can live with themselves knowing that you have mislead by pretending you produc
I was robbed, the seller stuffed vera bradley bag with a yellow flower making it look very big and have to have it. Ladies, you can take a look at vera bradley that says sold with a yellow flower bewteen,' that is the one'. I paid $30 for it, but ladies, when I received the bag, it looked like something for a 3 year old. It is so small that it doesn't even worth 50c at yard sale or flee market. I reported this fraud, but both the seller and poshmark keep my hard earned money anyway. In the real world, a customer is entitled to return a product with or without a reason. I will never never browse their website or recommend to anybody again.
I bought a pair of boots. They validated my credit card and told me to expect shipment. Then I was emailed and told the purchase was cancelled and they refused to give cause, but told me to enjoy my next purchase. I responded unacceptable; that I had a receipt for the boots, that I had bought the boots and what happened? They offered me $5 and no explanation. I told them they were not responsible and probably not worthy to do business with and never to contact me again.
Do not shop here. I bought a very cute looking "mini" skirt. When I received it, it was down below my knees, I am average height if 5'5''. Poshmark refused to let me return and get a refund saying it wasnt a misrepresentation. In what world does a mini skirt goes past your knees? They wouldnt hear me at all and just denied my refund. As a business owner I would be out of business if I treated my customers like this. I would never shop here again and hopefully neither will you.
Very limited customer support you can't reach them by phone if there's any urgent issue. I'm a new seller on Poshmark and got an order when I was out of town. My brother helped me ship the item along with something else I had to ship. He accidentally mis-labeled the 2 packages. I got in touch with customer support but Hannah who responded because the other item wasn't sold on Poshmark they'll not provide further assist. I was trying to find a way to get in touch with the buyer but there's no way in the app after item is delivered. I'm very disappointed at the seller support I got from Poshmark and their unsympathetic respond. They don't have your back when you need them. Will not use it again.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
