I sold a ring and clearly stated it is 14 K GOLD OVER SILVER. Never told the buyer I was selling a 14 K gold ring. Clearly OVER SILVER means it's painted gold. The buyer doesn't want the item but purchased literally 1 minute of me posting it. They told me my description wasn't clear. What's not clear is how they care about getting their 20% but nothing else. Spam every damn second you post something. They're disgusting and cares nothing about people's items. I let them know clearly, the buyer can keep the item and they can give her money back. I know one thing for sure I'll be gone really soon. Ridiculous. Just don't waste my time!

DO NOT SELL nor BUY! The customer service is non -existent. For high end authentic goods please go to another site... this place is a FRAUD!
In general the site is not very user friendly. I had to contact support and they gave me instructions that did not exist. Ex- Go to account and then go to my earnings. There is no my earnings. Very frustrating.
They give you an option to create your closet so you can easily sort through clothing that pertains to your color choice, size, etc. I can't tell you how many times I've updated my closet and it still gives me size larges in bright red.
Lastly you do have to pay for shipping that is about $7 bucks. It is expedited shipping, which is great, but I am not going to die over the clothes I am getting. I rather not pay more in shipping than the actual item I am buying.
All of the negative reviews I have read are from people who did not read the policies an procedures before selling or buying on poshmark. As a seller if I am selling an item with major defect I do reach out to the buyer and make sure they did read the description before sending it but posh doesn't require that just that you stated it in the orginal description so read before you purchase--dont let your excitement get the best of you. Make sure you know what you're buying and if it's incorrectly represented Posh will take it back. I have been selling on Posh since Jan 20,2017 and it's the best thing since sliced bread. I've made 6 thousand dollars and continuing to grow. If you'd like to check out my closet or have questions for me my screenname is crystal*******
I've been on poshmark for about three months as a seller and i've had no problems with it at all. I have bought three items in total and none of them were described properly but i was still somewhat satisfied with them and didn't return any of them. I've sold over 50 items with no issues. The only complaints i have are the 20% commission and the buyers who bundle items but never buy them because they are annoying and bring my hopes up only to kill them. I do enjoy participating in posh parties and being an active part of the community, which greatly ups your experience with the app.
Worst costumer service, takes week to respond to open case, and still no respond! Will have to open dispute trough PayPal, no way to leave a feedback to bad seller, and that makes them rude and they can do whatever they want! No phone number to call no email answered!
Lady stated it was real but its not, shottty stitching and the zipper not what coach uses. His is my first oder and now I am concerned about Poshmark people.
I saw a beautiful hat and bought it from Poshmark, but when it arrived it was neither the same material or color as advertised, so I attempted to return it and I could not get any help, more of a Oh Well attitude... Buyer Beware, particularly when buying from Poshmark
Fraudulent advertising. I bought a dress stated brand new. First of all the seller never shipped and was elusive to my inquiries and poshmark. I cought seller in lie she said she mailed it out. I called postmaster they determined she never shipped the item. Seller said post office lost it, I called postmaster, whom knows the seller. The postmaster said she lied about that too, Atter weeks of probing seller finally shipped. I received a stained used dress with tags that appeared to fall off. I filed with poshmark but they have horrible customer service and can't be reached by phone. I escalated with PayPal but they too have been horrible service. They said the minimum damage was not worth my claim, let's see seller stated brand new dress but I received a stained used dress...
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AND DO NOT TRUST PAYPAL TO FIGHT FOR YOUR CONSUMER RIGHT. I WILL FILE WITH FTC THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AGAINST THIS COMPANY.
When is Poshmark going to tell us that their platform
Postmark's platform was hacked & customers' personal information such as the stored credit card numbers, bank account information, emails with pass words (connected to an app) etc were stolen & sold on the dark web. Not one notice given to its clients. I had to find out this info from a ID theft monitoring company. Everyone needs to change all their passwords to all their accounts that are attached to Poshmark. With this & then some lies about Columbus Day interfering with paying people (I'm sure that's when the hack occured) I am no longer interested in using this platform & I don't recommend that you do either.
I am strictly a buyer- I don't think I would want to sell on Poshmark since their take is 20%.
THE GOOD:
*I have located items from many seasons past that I have been searching for FOR YEARS, new with tags! It's a rush to find a long-sought jewel in the rubble heap and for a great price (I don't buy high-end designers, but vintage-y, boutique pieces from shops like Anthro circa 10 years ago).
*If you are looking for a specific item you are almost guaranteed to find at least one- there are millions of listings.
*Since every post allows you to make an offer, you can get pretty great deals.
THE BAD:
*Because of the high % fee retained by Poshmark, some sellers don't want to go down even a couple bucks. I can understand this, but for a used (even in good shape) item you need to be aware the true value is what others are willing to pay, not what you originally paid (or more).
*The social "sharing" aspect. It's kind of annoying and stupid and gamey. I will share users listings to be nice, but I really don't care for all the notices that I'm being "followed" or my listing was shared. I'm here to shop, not be all Social Media hook er.
THE UGLY:
*SHIPPING. FREAKING $6.49 no mATTER WHAT THE ITEM. I can't buy jewelry because it's so ridiculous. I hesitate to buy cheap things too because shipping will sometimes be half the cost. The SHIPPING IS THEFT.
*Users who have no been active for a time period NEED to be inactivated or something on their listings should indicate they have not been active. You can see on the app when a user was last active. If there is no date, I think you can assume it's been a LONG time. But other than that (you really have to dig for this) you can place an order and have no idea if the other person is even "there." It's such a simple thing, PM really needs to fix!
Overall I have had pretty good experiences, not been scammed, sellers have been pretty nice (some don't answer questions in listings which is annoying, considering PM expects buyers to do this), shipping is quick once sellers get around to it. I will continue to use it but I would buy so much more if shipping were reduced!
I sold a ring 14k gold with opal diamond and tanzanite ( Poshmark keeps money until buyer accepts). Buyer claimed opal was damaged and won't release my funds. Of course I'm out my ring and no money paid. This system sucks for both buyer and seller in many instances Needs to be revised. I say release funds and refund buyer if they change their mind or don't want. Just like eBay does. Fair system that way
Poshmark is the place for vindictive fraudsters. I bought 2 items from Poshmark, and both items were not delivered, I complained and in retaliation was blocked
I made the mistake of buying a Coach handbag guaranteed authentic but is a fake and plastic not leather. I've emailed several times, and of course there is no phone service and have just been ignored. Posh boasts of it's protection fir buyers, yet they hold the money while I'm stuck with a fake bag, 80.00 poorer and no service. Isn't this criminal? This can't be right.
Do your own research, ask sellers questions. I've bought 2 things so far: a dress and a kentucky derby hat. I googled the dress and saw that it's likely some cheap thing made in China and it is. But I only paid $15 so I'm ok with that. The hat I knew had been worn to the derby, has makeup stain on the inside. For what I paid for it, I'm ok with that too. Both items were shipped promptly. Recommended the site to friends, hopefully I've set their expectations accordingly.
Hope they just take it off for good. Everything about poshmark sucks from $7 shipping cost to absolutely longest time to sell one measly item. Suckssss big time
I have only purchased two items on Poshmark... or, to be accurate, I have tried to purchase two items. After the first bad experience, I thought I would give it one more shot on an inexpensive item.
Disturbingly similar experience with both sellers... I paid, but neither seller ever shipped the item. Each took several days to respond, and once they did, they had said they had been out of town. Of course, we all know that if you are out of town, you would not have your phone. Doesn't everyone leave their phone at home when traveling?
Now I have to go through the cancellation process again and watch for the PayPal refund. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I will not be giving Poshmark a third chance to fool me.
Without a feedback system, it is impossible to know if you are dealing with a seller who will follow through with the sale. I am sure sellers have the same challenges with buyers.
Poshmark is not worth the trouble. Shop anywhere else.
I sold a Chanel bag for $1k on Poshmark and anything over $500 immediately goes to their "Concierge" service who then inspects the bag to insure authenticity and the description matches the listing. If the description is off in any way, it will be returned to the seller before the buyer even sees it. I shipped my bag to their concierge, they kept it for a week and then finally approved it. Yay! Deal complete right? NOPE. The buyer receives the bag and states "it's not as described and is damaged". So she opened a return request and POSH approved the return. My bag will not go back to concierge to insure it's in the same condition it left as, but it will come straight back to me, most likely damaged now, due to buyer's remorse. I have heard a lot of stories about buyers returning empty boxes in lieu of the actual bag, and POSHMARK does nothing about it, since it's your word against the buyer. I haven't received my item back yet, but pretty sure it will be damaged or an empty box. I've been with POSH since 2015 so it's very disappointing.
Fees to sell are extremely high, and their application is so glitchy. They are flooded with fakes, replicas, and so much spam. It was decent about 5 years ago, but have gone downhill ever since. BEWARE.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
