I've only had 2 bad experiences and customer service was very helpful. All of the other transactions went great
For the 20% commission off their sellers they do not support us one bit. Harassment, unjustified ratings they are completely out of the sellers hands (shipping), and open cases and receiving damaged goods... Posh has a long way to go until they are considered a reliable and trusted app to sell on
Love Poshmark. The easiest way to get rid of good condition clothes from your personal closet, and you'll get way more than a consignment shop or thredup will give you! It's all about community and fun! Sure it has its flaws, it's not perfect, but I have enjoyed it so far.
I love POSHMARK I only shop there now. If I find something in a store I check posh to see if I can buy it there for a fraction of the price usually at least 50% below a store price. Others buying mistakes are my wins because they sell it on posh.
I am surprised with all the bad reviews! There is no way you can get scammed here, seller do not get paid until seller says so. Buyers can ask all the questions before buying, buyers can send offers and pay less WAY less than asking price sometimes, they can also Bundle items and pay a flat rate shipping ( priority and insured) of
$6.49 regardless of the box size and weight, which is very convenient for large orders, obviously not for a pair of earrings of 2oz... common sense ladies! Poshmark has a great social aspect, you can make tons of friends, sell the clothing and accessories you do not use anymore and use the money to refresh your wardrobe, it is super cool!
I had a case against me on a bag with pics showing exactly what would be received. I lost based on the fact that I did not disclose something I was not asked about and fully showed. As a seller I will never use this again. I am also curious as to how often this happens to sellers.
First (and last) time buyer. Purchased item in good faith, paid immediately... yet item never shipped. Needed to cancel order after 7 day waiting period established by Poshmark and use the option "delayed order". Sticking to Amazon and Ebay... more reliable.
$#*! poshmark straight bull $#*! website this $#*! should be shut down and the owner needs to be jailed
From personal experience the seller with fakes are getting away with stuff. As a seller I have been scamed by customers damaging my items and filing complaints then not sending all the items back. I had one complaint that the item wasn't authentic that means fake fight, I responded how could that be when the item isn't really expensive or a huge name brand then posh excepted the buyers complaint saying that it was stained. So basicallyy they were telling me its ok to lie, play games and waist my time. When I go to block the buyer their all of a sudden their account can't be found. That has scam written all over it. So no they really don't stick up for the buyers it's like they taunt them at least the ones with good not fake stuff.
I bought a camisole & the girl shipped it right away. Well something happened with USPS & they shipped it back to the sender. I contacted the sender & Poshmark. The sender has gone out of her way to help me get my package luckily. Poshmark does not believe that I have not received my package even though the tracking information clearly states returned to sender. At least Ebay will go out of their way to give you a refund. Poshmark is run by morons who basically want to screw you over.
Priority shipping on everything ONLY makes the post office rich. $6.49 to mail a 4 ounce top that on an Ebay purchase would only cost about $3 for the seller. AND often they allow sellers a full week to ship. What is Expedited about that? AND they charge 20% WHAT? I thought ebay was bad. Etsy and Ebay are far better. AND now with Thread UP I doubt I will ever buy from Posh again
In spite of the reviews about Posh being on the side of the sellers, they are very harsh with sellers and issue warnings TO SELLERS when the CUSTOMER doesn't like the item or buys the wrong size (not sure how the seller can help that). They tell buyers no refunds or returns but have NO PROBLEM dashing off a return when any buyer of MINE wants one. I had to move mountains to return the WRONG ITEM and get a refund when it was my turn as a buyer.
Also note that you only get so much leeway - more than 3 complaints in 12 months and you are suspended. You have to ship in TWO DAYS (hard to do on a 3 day weekend with no post office. It can be done and you CAN make money but know going in it is no better than Ebay or Etsy and very little forgiveness depending on which end of the transaction you are on and the day of the week.
I'm not crazy about the whole socializing and parties and sharing thing. I'm not there to make friends, I'm there to shop and sell. There is also a large percentage taken from the sale so you may not make as much money as you would on say Ebay or Etsy. Unfortunately, (like Ebay these days) folks are encouraged to have "boutiques" of new item items usually factory wholesale items the sellers buy from China that are badly made of cheap materials. I'm also not a fan of stock photos (forbidden on Ebay) instead of a picture of the actual item I will be getting.
BUT... there are options to TRADE items (which Ebay forbids), you can "bundle" (put together bulk purchases) to save on the flat rate shipping and can make offers if you don't like the price. The small sellers on the site have better offerings (better brands, more selection, faster shipping, higher end) than on Ebay and Posh is formatted for those more comfortable with taking photos with their phone and texting (I'm not - I prefer to type on a PC to get the details).
They are selling counterfeit dress. Don't be a victim. I would never buy anything from this website again. They are the scammer.
I am a New Seller on Poshmark and I am saddened to she reviews where sellers were dishonest. I pride myself on honesty and excellent customer service. I already sold a few *******@thesweetorios. I would hope that Poshmark would ban those who are deceitful because it makes it bad for sellers who are true and honest with their products.
I purchased a mk handbag from a scammer, I told her I hope its authentic as. I authenticate Michael kors and other brands. She said she changed her mind 5 min. Later. However, she didn't cancel thru the system! I CONTACTED the idiots at posh support #trolls who give me a form answer?! I told them I have proof that she relisted and after 6 days of keeping my money and posh idiots doing nothing. Its clear itsa scam to screw people out of having access to their $$. I am done! $#*! poshmark
This is one of the few retail sites that takes the seller's side over the buyers'. Will stick to eBay.
They charge 20% of your sales. They have fraudulently charged my credit card for someone else's purchase. Frequently, their labels send random people items that someone else has purchased. I am having problems getting money returned to me when another seller doesn't ship my orders. I am missing several orders that have been shipped to me. Their "bar codes" don't match with the person that is supposed to receive a purchase. I DON'T recommend that anyone buys, or sells on Poshmark
I purchased two things from Poshmark. The first was legit and a great deal. The second *******@leah001 a rip off. The buyer beware is on me for not being able to process right away that it was fake. It wasn't until I carried the purse that I knew for sure it was. I've already accepted payment. So, my advice... Check the seller's closet. Is there variety or do they have multiple of something. Check the photo against any you can find elsewhere. Once you get it, if it doesn't feel right, don't accept payment... return it asap! Not sure I'll go back... it was an expensive mistake and I hate feeling like a sucker.
I question if Posh can create their own fake accounts selling things (for show) they never actually intend to send out as they still get money to hold.
I'm wondering if they can use that money in escrow as credit or borrowed money so to speak.
There seems to be no repremend for sellers who sell yet never ship when I think their account should be suspended or art least limited if they have not shipped a sale in 2/3 days or they will do it again in the future as their way to "cancel" a transaction bypassing the rules.
The only person who is out is the buyer cause their money is held even after the order is canceled as it says it could take two days to a whole billing cycle! What other store do you know takes that long?
This site is just suspicious or certainly some seller accounts anyway.
I was a first time buyer where the seller accepted my offer but would not communicate after the sale when 5 days later I said I was new and inquiring about their shipping time estimate.
Lastly, I expressed my concerns thru email to posh as no customer service seems to exist, just someone who copy and pastes pre written rules from frequently asked questions.
This experience has made me question if I could trust a future transaction and seems more of a hassle then a potential bargain ESP if there is more of a loss at the end not only financially but time wasted seeking then finding a product that you never obtain.
If something seems to good to be true it usually is Ill leave it at that :)
Just as you've read in other reviews, the seller lied about the item, and when you ask for a return, it gets denied! DO NOT buy from Poshmark!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
