The features of the website have drastically declined since it was sold to Match Group. Now you can't even delete messages out of your sent box. Can only delete messages from your inbox so if you send message that is never answered that sent message will have to remain in your sent box forever. The customer service sucks as they are not able to understand or address this problem. Also there is no screening of new profiles so I find a lot of fake profiles of women saying they're in their sixties or seventies with pictures of women who are no more than 35 years old just looking to find foolish older men to scam. If you aren't expecting much from this website and careful then it can't hurt to try it

Had credit card issues with them, was asked for my credit card information to verify my age for video chat approval, it's part of their site, then money went missing from my credit card

I had been a member of this site for several months. It turned out to be a huge mistake! The site is very clunky and outdated. The selection of women there is god awful. It looks like most of them have been shaken out of some trailer. Very low class of women. And the ones that are attractive are just about all fakes, either wanting money or for you to visit another site. I busted 3 or 4 of them because I got tired of their scams. And then my account was hacked, and I couldn't access it for 3 or 4 days. When I finally got it back, someone had changed it all around, had removed my pics and said I was in Australia of all places! No apologies from POF for letting that happen. My hunch is one of the ladies I busted knew a hacker who hacked my account. Just a hunch tho. But the takeaway is the security on the site is just crap. Well, after a couple of hours I got my site back up with a much stronger password. And we were rolling along, and then late last week, I couldn't access my site AGAIN, and after 3 or 4 days and several inquiries from me, they said my account had been terminated! What the F? Why? They said for privacy reasons they couldn't disclose why they terminated my account, which is of course complete and total bull$#*!! My hunch is my account had been hacked AGAIN, and some SOB did some mischief. So, why weren't they after that person instead of blaming me? And of course, no mention of funds coming back to me for the unused portion of my membership. What a scam! Listen, we all would like to find our dearly beloved, but this is MOST DEFINITELY NOT the place to do it. If you're thinking about it, don't! It will be a total and complete waste of your time and money!

This site lets known and convicted rapists have accounts. When making this fact known to the people that operate pof, they ignored my email. Stay away!

I mistakely USED A SEXUAL! TERM. An old man that I rejected and wouldnt talk with reported me to plenty of fish. Im will to replace the SEXUAL word but pof is ridge! And unbending nor open to correct errors.SO BEWARE! VERY AWARE OF YOUR WORDS or just do not use pof this is my suggestion there other sites more open.

Do NOT bother with this site. It has got worse and worse over the years and has now hit rock bottom.

I've had on several occasions my picture of my car declined but as ive just seen tonight on a womens profile that for some reason she has been allowed to have a picture of her car on it, ive tried several times but every occasion it was deleted so it seems women get more privileges and can do more on their profiles to men to men on this site!

This is a fake person, that will tell you they love you, you're their soul mate, etc... then beg for money to pay medical bills, rent, etc...

I'll write a review on here as the big named review site is full of fake reviews being pumped out every few minutes which has seen its rating go from poor to great in a few months and can't be trusted

I love how the women are saying Covid made them join the site as though in real life they get loads of offers from men. You look at them and they are overweight with numerous children and lack the ability to even fill out their profile "just ask" and can't even talk in normal sentences

If on the rare chance you find someone who appears decent it will soon fail as they lack basic conversational skills to chat properly even though they say " must have great banter "

The whole world is in lockdown and I can only imagine how many desperate men are messaging these creatures giving them validation into thinking they're all great catches when in fact you wouldn't look at any of them twice in the real world

This is absolutely worse then craigslist i have never seen so many abusive men in one area. They send first messages of threats, sex acts nude pics, then if you dont reply the persistent harassment with message after message after message begins being verbally abused, or being completely ripped apart on your looks, this site should be shut down, anyone male or female with your life together this site is not for you, unless you are a jobless, car less person with 6 kids by different people with no life this site is not for you. Its all the same people with the same vintage photos and same old pick up lines. I have never seen so many people with no jobs are licenses? How do you get to work or date?> these reviews have to be padded noway in hell there are legit good experiences on there no way. I gave it a go twice now lasted less then a day, its utter garbage

Very dangerous site i checked it out for a month and ended it never met anyone and I didn't want to after being threatened.

How sick can you get when someone assumes a dead mans profile and even goes as far as to tell you its his birthday on the actual dead persons date of birth. This poor man had three children imagine how upset they will be if they ever find out., I cried for his family and felt sick to my stomach. I have been talking to this guy and I feel tainted. Thus is a sick world.

I am going to relate a 71 year old guy's point of view based upon my use of the site for about a year. The majority of the women are not very appealing yet they are very demanding. Many are looking for men 10 years younger than they are. The site ignores distance preferences so I was bombarded with profiles of women living all over the world but won't let me contact women more than 15 years younger. There are catfishes looking to take advantage of men but they are easy to spot. Their favorite line is that age differences do not matter and distance is not an issue since they are willing to relocate. I always check pictures of attractive women to see if the photos they post were taken off the Internet to create a phony profile. The major issue is not catfish but women who have no commitment to meeting someone. In other words they are not willing to put in any effort because they could not care less if they meet someone to date. They sit back and peruse POF when Bingo and Mahjong have been canceled. Since there are more men than women even the homely overweight ones who lack education and sophistication can be assured of a steady stream of messages and "likes." Men are there, in their opinions, to amuse and serve.
You can get a free membership or an upgraded membership for a fee. It does not pay to upgrade. You are fishing in polluted waters regardless.
The site is run by people who are mostly honest except for one ploy. When an upgraded membership is about to end I believe the site itself generates tons of phony messages and phony "likes" in order to keep you hooked. I tried contacting the members who messaged me and "liked" me to confirm they were real and none responded. OurTime, another dating site does the same thing. You get more contacts (all phony) at the end of your paid membership in one day than you received in a month. Very deceitful.
One last comment directed to all the women looking for a man who makes them laugh. Please consider contacting Bozo the clown.

If you are looking to find some dates or relationships etc. It really should not be so hard nor should it cost to boost your profile. F-ing $#*!ed. The only people getting hooked are the customers. I have been on this site for about a month. There is too much BS. You have a site in place, it works, why not give a fair price and leave it at that. Stop F-ing around. People have hearts, some have depression, some are suicidal, some will get homicidal and why? Because A-holes who only a care about every last cent they can rip away from you. Give you a little taste, then slowly devour your soul. People are looking for love, dating, friendship. I am thinking to put something up myself. I dont need money. I am a disabled combat Veteran who is working to better himself and I really dont like wasting more time. I spent time overseas where people where being blown apart, while my wife and children were at home and it sucked bad. For what?

Went on here for first time, I dont think they realy want you to meet some one, i sent polite messages to people and when i looked on their profile they had messaged me back ( a ticking their) profile but i had no message in my inbox, I also had a lot of people like me, then sent a message to to them,( no replies) I think these people purposely block the message, then they want you to buy tokens to boost your message to the top of their message list, its just a money making scam, wont ever use again!

This app used to be free now it's only free to sign up which makes it harder to meet people because now you have to pay to meet someone that's not cool at all they should have left it like it was everybody is greedy it's all about the dollar even doing these hard times of covid-19 some people can't afford to pay to meet someone because they may be out of a job or something to the people who owns Plenty of Fish shame on you especially during these hard times

Lots of people on here are scam from Nigeria. To save your heart and time. Ask to chat with them on the phone directly to find out if they are real people who say they are. Lots of them have phone number that doesn't work when trying to call them. This site has the worst scam.It's really a waste of time. Some of them here are real people of course. It's upsetting that this app has no control over who has fake account and not let them be on. Pay attention to their broken language too, You then have an idea they are scammers.

Been using POF for years with little success. In my area, not many female singles in my age bracket. Just saw a gal I dated and POF used her pic with different name and location. Have caught them many times a this and some pics have been up for years and the gals are probably dead by now. Why do I get matches that are not what I checked off in searching for? Because there are so few women available and they can only match me up with what few they have and some are states away. Really? They show who is "online" but they may be in Canada or Europe, not within my local range. Do a search and it shows them online, but do the "online" search and they are not - so nothing but games from POF if you go the free route. And of course, scammers. Totally disgusted.
