Someone who shall remain nameless thought I was ready to meet Someone on line. And someone who shall remain nameless decided to fill me in when 2 well known dating sites turned out to be highly overrated and disappointing said I should try plenty of fish. The word plenty was understated. I thought I'll make a very honest not Facebook friendly fake and I'd just be me. I thought it sounded kind of $#*!y instead of the bad $#*! good Christian mom vibe I was going for but oh well here goes. Men 53-61 apparently dig that or at least act like they do. I've been dabbling with this for 7 days with the significance of that and the certainty with which I say it stems from I signed up on my 53rd birthday

By this evening I was actively talking to 4 at one time. And they is what started the text stream I posted earlier.

I joined plenty of fish for one month. It wasn't until I checked my bank account online and found they'd stolen a second month of me a month later. They didn't tell me they was going to steel a second months payment a month later. By joining for one month that should be the end of it. I can't find anywhere in the listing they take another month later. I've emailed them twice with no reply so I'm going to have to delete the account to hopefully stop pof from steeling more money from me for a 3rd month. Beware don't sign up to join they will take your money as they wish. They don't care about you they only want your money.

This site is for the most part 98 percent losers. Mental issues, sexual issues, criminal records, drug addicts, jobless losers, people with, 4,5 kids by different people. If you are male or female with your life in order this site is not for you. There are people who send filthy messages and if you do not respond repeatedly report your profile and or your pics. People who have been on there for years with pics form when they were 19 or 20, the site should be shut down, its nothing but craigslist mostly bottom of the barrel people on there

I had been on POF for years, both as a paying customer and free member. I met several very nice ladies and a few losers. But over all I found the site worked good for me. (And I am in the very senior catagory) Of all the dating sites on the internet I felt it was the best. And actually free for the most part. A lady I met through this site initiated a complaint against me and I was banished for life. No information or appeal process. And it's permenent. Later the lady contacted me and apologized, but it was too little too late. Shame, because I was within a few minutes of becoming a paying customer again. Oh well, stuff happens. Try it, you will like it. I was listed on their site as "Ross_Sl"...

I was a long time member on pof and over the last couple of years it has fallen in accuracy and worth. Recently they allowed my banking info and email address to be compromised. Whoever hacked my account changed my email address so now I cannot provide their support with data to delete my account! So they refuse to further investigate or reimburse me after 19 ridiculous charges were made through their app. Their pathetic Support now has me Trapped in an endless email cycle saying there they need more information to further investigate. When I tell them a response how my info was changed and now I can not provide data except for my user name, and I supply that, They just follow up with the same email a couple of days later. I'm telling you they are desperate they and will lock you into repeated subscription payments every month where you can not log in and change your preferences to non subscribe. So all in all I used to enjoy this website but now after this experience I have to say The Site is full of fake profiles and bots. There are many way better dating options out there.

The problem with POF is that it discriminates men unfairly, because as a MAN you are constantly at risk of getting banned if and when a female user reports you, for any reason.

This is due to the fact that POF has a very low number of active women users, and it feels it should favour them to keep the website alive.

However, it is frustrating when you are unfairly reported for wearing a political t-shirt or when someone is stating that they prefer not to date a certain group of people for example. There is no sense of freedom on their website.

Also because of this, your data is at risk because POF bans you without warning, and often just block you from accessing the site when your profile is still visible to other users.

I have had this happen twice, and they customer service ignored my emails for any explanation, as well as tried to remove any negative review I had wriiten about this issue.

If you are a man looking for a decent woman this isn't the site for you. Most women are plain, fat, rude and aggressive. Some I talked to should be in a straight jacket. You do get the odd nice one but they can't string a sentence together. Men must outnumber women by around 500 to 1, so unless you are a male model with a big bank balance you have no chance. Internet dating isn't the real world and the women on here are deluded. With all the attention they get they think they are page 3 models when in reality they are trogs. STAY AWAY from this site. Not worth the time and energy and don't part with any money.

Think yourself in a bar with warm beer in a dirty glass and completed with the 3 man Billy Bob band and peanut shells on the floor. Welcome to dating from POF in the time of Covid. This place is vile, scary and you will need to shower several times if anyone from here should contact you. I don't know if customer care actually exists. This is one womans' opinion. The profiles are; lets just say not what you really get, and please turn off your GPS access, because this lot will try and find you. Please try a different pond, lake, stream. At POF you will not find trout, only carp.

Not free after a few weeks, no messages can be sent or received without payment, before that... I got numerous responses all from fake accounts... some fishing for money... the account in site come up in same city, after conversation... then exchange phone number, has foreign area code... their statement saying oh I'm in another state trying to get to your city... soliciting money... more than once... for me the website is a total b. S...

They recently made changes. I don't much care for them. It used to be you could see users who viewed you. Now they show you 3. If you want to see more - upgrade. I've been on and off this site for a long time and it seems like most of the women "only accepts messages from upgraded users". Well... they'll miss out on me. I'm not willing to pay to message someone unless there is some mechanism that would force themn to reply to the user who upgraded so they could say hello. It would suck to pay money to be ignored. The search seems to ignore the criteria - I specified 57 to 65 and I am seeing women in their 40's and 70's. What I think they really need to do, and the software should be able to do it - if a person only wants messages from someone under a certain age, and you are over that age - don't show their profile as a match or in a search. If they only accept messages from upgraded users and you aren't upgraded - don't put them in the search or match results. Oh yes... the scammers are as busy as ever. "Age is just a number" or "love doesn't care about age" and it's a woman who says she is 64 but in reality is 35 because "I made a mistake on my birthdate and can't change it". It used to be an okay site, but not anymore.

I'd been warned about the fake accounts. But I figured it couldn't be worse than other dating sites. I was dead wrong. The fake accounts are beyond obvious. Pretty much spamming your inbox, and again, looking at the their profiles, you can tell its fake, poor grammer, and sometimes the discription is way off. Then, I was surprised by how rude the guys are, they don't care what your profile says. When you let them know nicely, politely your not interested they either start begging, or I was surprised to learn verbally attack you. I've never been verabbly attacked as much as I was the short time I was on the site. Completely disheartening. POF doesn't do anything about the way the guys behave, so they feel like they can get away with it. POF also doesn't verify pictures, so even if it is the right person, the age can be way off.

After I cancelled my account, I got no confirmation. I tried writing a complaint, I got no reply. Which leads to poor customer service. Other sites I've been on reply someway. If your looking for something serious, keep looking
