I looked up my fiance it past history it said he was a sex offender which he is not and has never been in trouble for it so I cancelled my service they charged my bank anyway and I called them back and told them I had cancelled they told me I was wrong I lied and never canceled. I finally got them to return my money. They told me that it puts every person with my Vince's name on his records check. The fa t is their misinformation can cause break ups and worse things to happen.
Upon looking up my own name i saw that they have under my personal info that my past history includes child molestation, never in my life have i ever even thought of doing some sick $#*! like that, these people at persopo belong in jailand i plan on filing a lawsuit for numerous unlawful violations
You offer something for free to people responding to your call to action in seeking a background report with no intention of honoring the offer. Your web site clearly states people will get a free background report on any person of their choosing. Well I did what was required so naturally I expected to see a background report which I didn't. No mention was made beforehand about this costing me any money yet you want my credit card number. What exactly does the word "free" mean in your ad offering "free" background reports?
I doubt anyone there will read this review or if so, take it seriously but I wanted to bring to your attention the fact that your ad is misleading and a great disappointment and about all I can expect to get for free is the endless email ads you'll likely be sending to me since you managed to get my email address Thank you for giving me nothing for"free"

I just called and complained about having an immediate threat by someone needing my information taken down... every other site with personal addresses and information like that had no issue... I explain the situation that I am being stalked and need it down now... their response "well it's not our fault you are being stalked you are gonna have to email us..." well why? With a situation like that it shouldn't be that hard to take my name off I can't believe it idk what to do now because they shouldn't be getting away with that even if it is legal it's morally wrong!

I checked background on myself, my wife, my brother; wife's father, and wife's brother. I've known all of these people for 17 years and certainly my brother for his entire life. The only information received were addresses and ages... that's it! Nothing on marriages (all are married); nothing on bankruptcies (I had one 21 years ago; her father had TWO over the past 30 years. This site is a scam, it gives you anything you can find with your friend Mr. Google. Anyone leaving a good review is clearly related to the company, trying to offset the truth: the company deserves no stars, and should pay back every single person suckered into parting with their money. Shame on you Persopo... might as well be a Nigerian Prince Inheritance scam.
They don't even deserve the one-star rating. I was not able to get any meaningful information in any report I ran. I called and cancelled right away. I just checked my account and they have continued charging me the monthly fee even though I had cancelled my membership. I am going to report them to the Better Business Bureau.
Cannot search anything out of this paid service, besides of the address and age, which other site provides for free. Marriage and divorce record was a joke (I had searched with people I knew was married and no record come out at all)
I wish I'd read these reviews first. Can't believe I didn't check it out. I was totally shocked at the zero information in the report. I learned absolutely nothing. I wish I could give them a negative rating. Wish I could get my money back. I've used other services and NONE are as worthless as this one.
I signed up and looked up my ex. The info I got that was him was his name and his birthday everything else was rubbish. It showed a criminal record for him but he would have been a child when the speeding tickets happened and it did not show our marriage and divorce. I then looked myself up and again it has my name right and birthday but showed nothing else. All i wanted was to see if my ex moved on and see if I could find out he was happy. So I could close that chapter of my life.
All you get here is to lose $20. They list a lot of public record reports but they are just lists. I do not believe they actually run the reports. My own marriage to my ex did not even come up on a divorce records report.
If you know how to use Google and have a little time you can find everything they give you on here for free. This was a total waste of money!

I find it laughable how many people are trashing this service when it is no different than any other that does the same thing. It says so many times they give public record which is questionable at best already... I've tried 3 sites like this and while none of them are the NSA, Persopo at least had good customer service. If you have issues here you are more likely the problem than they are...
They offer a service that they charge for; however, the DO NOT provide you with that service. I knew this person had a NY license and not even that was shown on his record! It's a scam!
I have requested multiple times that my information should be removed. I spoke with Crystal and explained the urgency of my request. She keeps repeating herself and is useless. I requested to speak with a manger/ supervisor she claims they don't have any. Avoid their services.

THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM GOING, I WAS SUPPOSE TO BE PAYING FOR AN TRY OUT AND THEY CHARGED ME 59.99.
WHEN I PUT MY OWN NAME IN IT CAME UP WITH TWO ADDRESSES FOR MYSELF ONE OF WHICH WASN'T MINE.
I CAN TYPE MY NAME INTO GOOGLE AND FIND MORE INFORMATION THAT THIS SITE COMES UP WITH.
WHEN I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP. WAS SO RUDE. SITES LIKE THESE SHOULD BE BAN FROM ADVERTISING.

Persopo offered a "report" for one dollar as I was leaving the site. I took the bait. The report on my name gave me my name and phone number, nothing more. Then they immediately charged me $29.95 on my credit card. What comes to my mind are words like: liars, criminals, scam artists, etc.
All you will get in this search/review is name, addresses, and those possibly related to the subject - - nothing else. If you want more, you will have to pay extra on a what you need basis. Secondly, to subscribe you must agree to auto-6 month renewal via a registered credit card. Yes, you can opt out of the plan prior to the auto-renewal by a phone call to Persopo. Thirdly, as in my situation, my credit card company changed my card number during the renewal week and Persopo denied my renewal. Persopo stated to me that I had to re-register and that all history of searched names in my account were deleted - - no more records of my use of the site. Not a customer friendly organization.
I cannot believe the false information being reported about the criminal history. I searched family members who showed up with assault and burglary charges and other felonious behavior. I strongly urge those considering to use this service to save their money. The information they receive could damage an innocent person's reputation by providing information unrelated to the individual. Beware!
