1 week ago I made a small purchase on a Facebook advertisement to take an IQ test. It was a one time payment. Then a week later, today, I am suddenly charged $58.80 by the same company for what I have no idea as it was not authorised. I made this payment through Paypal so assumed my money would be recovered from these scammer so I raised a case.
Not even 30 minutes later I receive an email saying that my case has been refused! So either Paypal supports scammers or else I can no longer trust them with making payments any more! The trust factor was the only reason I use Paypal. So now I can no longer trust them I will no longer be using Paypal and will be closing my account with them. Their loss as they would make more than that in fees every week from me. Goodbye Paypal!
I've been with PayPal for years. PayPal today is not customer friendly. Fraud case against online scammers, I wasn't the only one that filed a complaint, PayPal denied the case stating we couldn't find anything. I found out this company is a financial supporter of PayPal while using it's platform for business reactions. Of course I was denied. It's all about their bottom line. There are other options to pay now besides PayPal, use those services.
They dint honor price protection policy. Customer service does not respond to emails. Worst experience
Paypal is a super insecure platform. I've had thousands stolen from me and Paypal has continually refused to help, and won't let me disconnect bank accounts. It's been a disaster and you have to hope your bank will manage to fight them successfully.

When you escalate a claim you assume PayPal reads the entire complaint however after my previous experience I have discovered they didn't understand the actual issue. They actually missed the entire point. The issue was about purchasing of insurance that didn't cover my item, the issue was not my item. There are 2 lessons here, retailers are now desperate so be careful and PayPal has clearly been outsourced as their grasp on the English language is clearly absent.
My boyfriend's wallet was stolen and the Person who stole it, try to transfer money from his PayPal to zoom. For whatever reason the transfer didn't go through that God, but it ended up going to zoom instead. He also transferred me some money that day as well from his PayPal account. When we found out that this person had stolen, or tried to steal his money, he filed a dispute. The staff member who took down the dispute, decided to not just filed a dispute with the money that was stolen or but supposed to file a dispute for every single thing that he purchased that day and every transaction he had that day. Making it so that the money he sent me was in frozen and removed from my account. The money he had that was taken wouldn't get returned and they froze his account and then told us that we had no choice but to wait for 10 days for them to do their investigation. At the end of 10 days they were supposed to release his funds because zoom said yes that they made a mistake and refunded the money but for whatever reason PayPal wouldn't release it to him. They also wouldn't take my account out of the negative and instead it's now been 19 days and xoom convinced my boyfriend into re-opening the case and so now PayPal is telling us they have 30 days to investigate and that there's nothing we can do about it and that they won't release our funds. Every single time we talk to them they give us a different story. One minute it's been approved and the monies been given back, which should be there tomorrow, one time they told us that they got 30 days. All the sudden, another time they told us that the money had already been returned. Now it's two weeks out from Christmas. We are now $1250 shorter and it looks like we're never gonna get the money back and have to hire a lawyer and file a lawsuit. To top it off their customer service is closed on the weekends and week nights. Which helps no one and if they do answer the phone which is very rarely and they don't hang up on you they're complete jerks and they can't do anything. So be smart keep your money anywhere, but with PayPal. Pay any other way you can, which means avoid xoom and also Varo and any other products of PayPal they're just thieves and scammers.
This is probably the worst customer service I have ever met. I do regret I chosen this company for my finance transfers. Customer service specialists respond very slow in chat. Their responses contradict to each other. What they do is just kick the customer out to get rid of him as soon as they can instead of helping him. There was a time when I called their service via the phone and they just hung up. Apart from that, money transfers via PayPal have a lot of problems. E.g. They can allow you to put lots of your money on their crypto balance. After that, there are a lot of problems and delays to take your money back.

I got zero protection from PayPal, a platform I picked because I thought it was secure. The money is gone and we had to stop the charity as thet account is now compromised. Don't use PayPal, their promise of protection is a joke
I was scammed on a different website by one of their buyers. I used paypal.
Paypal did not help to investigate nor to make contact with the buyer the emails of which were all on the paypal system.

Went to joke resulution centre,started one claim which they denied, opened another claim which they denied opened a third one and finally managed to work out how to send all my pictures and messages between seller and myself, thought I put forward a really good case but the robot people in there still said claim denied I put everything that was sent to me by seller and it's never enough for PayPal they always go for the seller as they are who pays more than us buyers

I ordered some apparel articles from a Chinese company named Beambead. Half of the clothes never got to me. I complained to Paypal, proved my complaint with a fake shipping label provided by the company, and provided all the documentation to them. They still sided with the " seller", of course, because they make money out of the transaction. DO NOT TRUST PAYPAL! I am closing my account and I will never pay anything else through them.
I am in so much pain for PayPal freezing my 4-yr account. It's clean & less than 10 disputes for the 4 years. I have had 100s of transactions. Their reason is "logging in from a country i did not register". I have never moved out of my country and i have no Idea what they are saying. Two seperare times I did a disputefor different things! This one, a product that was suppose to be a 16 oz and they sent me a 4 oz. I gave paypal pictures, emails everything they wanted and they still denied the dispute! Do to not enough information. WHAT! I gave them everything! The website even took the posting off the website and not a mention of them from paypal. Tryin to get though to someone was a nightmare finally did and they said they would reopen it. Well they never did! Tryed again and they said it was closed. I even showed them pictures of how much I paid for a 16 oz since I buy this product often. They want their money and dont care about their customers. I"m not letting it happen a 3rd time.
Company used to be great. Have had paypal payment errors 3 times. The first 2 times they resolved it within 3 days. Last year and the year prior. This time they are not able to. I have had 5 interactions with their complaints department and they keep going around in circles. Have reported them to afca. Will not use them anymore. They have been holding funds for 3 weeks now due to an error on their end. They intermittently refer to the wrong transaction. Then tell me to wait a few weeks to see if it clears. Every time it is a different person. Clearly they have outsourced their call centres, their staff are not trained properly and do not know how to fix anything. Steer clear of this company.

Ordered a bike 9/28 from https://m.ebay.com/messaging?FolderId=0&messageId=*******170&curIdx=6&qid=*******018 the day it was set to arrive, 10/6 I took off work to wait. At 1:46 pm I received notification that the item was delivered. No one came to my door. I looked outside. Nothing. I immediately contacted the seller and FedEx. I opened missing package cases with eBay and FedEx. After a week I opened a case with PayPal. Today 10/21 I received notification that PayPal sided with the seller. I did everything I was supposed to do. Ordered, paid, waited, reported, updated and nothing. The bike obviously went somewhere but not to me. I'm sickened. Long history of using PayPal and eBay with zero issues yet no one believes me. I'm 53, single father, small business owner. I ordered a bike to commute to my restaurant. I did nothing wrong but I'm out a lot of money with nothing to show for it. Should I hire a lawyer? I don't want to just lie down since I'm not in the wrong. Any suggestions at all are appreciated.
Months after moving to a new address, I had ordered a couple of items and used to pay pal to purchase. The items were shipped to the wrong address...My old address, even after the address was changed and prior purchases were shipped to the new address. I spoke with 3 different supervisors at PayPal who agreed they had a glitch in the system but they refuse to refund my money. Their purchase guarantee sucks!

Paypal claims to prioritize securing transactions for their customers, yet my account was charged with four fraudulent transactions. While I was able to block three of them, the fourth one went through. When I filed a claim, Paypal stated that it was authorized. However, I have evidence that all four transactions were made on the same day, within minutes of each other, for the same amount but with different merchants. I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.

Answer: SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THAT LOT, THEY CLAIM TO REFUND AMOUNTS PAID FOR ITEMS THAT DO NOT ARRIVE THATS "BS" I HAVE HAD 3 SUCH CLAIMS FROM 14 TRANSACTIONS AND HAVE NEVER GOT A REFUND DESPITE THEIR CLAIMS, THEY ARE CROOKS, FULL STOP, KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THEM.
