Every time we've been to Papa John's, it was amazing. Great food and the employees are very polite! (This location was the one in Dartmouth, NS, Canada)
I've ordered probably around 50+ times from the same location and I can confidently say that on average the food quality was great though has trended downwards towards an overall OK quality-with some occasions of exceptionally poor quality.
It's rare but not unheard of to mess up an order (ex: forgetting parts of the order)
Their menu variety is great and in terms of sheer product, I'd have to rate them as by far the best chain-restaurant option for delivery.
However, my main issues are the lack of any delivery estimate prior to finishing payment and submitting everything (with estimate times occasionally exceeding 2 hours this can be infuriating), combined with no easy way to cancel (or change) the order online, instead having to call the store directly.
Overall, the actual food is likely to be good with a nice menu selection but not guaranteed. However, the site is missing some important quality of life features that really hold it back.
Papa John's is fired! The crust is the worst crust on the planet. The sauce is terrible. The cheese is terrible. This is the worst pizza product in.the entire country. They will eventually be out of business. They need to start taking notes from "Marco's". They are the best in the business.
I deal with the Papa John's on kecoughtan rd in Hampton VA and Derick the manager there is very polite, helpful and gets things done that are sometimes out of his control. Everytime I have a problem with my order he has taken care of it. I know that he has a lot to deal with and I know that if I have a problem with a order or anything else he will take care of it quickly. It's hard to find excellent hard working people like that and your company has been blessed by making him manager.
I ordered Papa John's Papa bowl because it looked like a healthy alternative to pizza but when it Arrived it just looked disgusting
I placed an order online an it didn't confirm my order I called them an no one answered the phone when I told them they weren't answering the order line they transferred me an still no answer they hung on me 4 times so I called back still no answer on the order line so I acted like I wanted to place an order when they answered I told them what had happened an they would not assist in trying to confirm my order. Don't order from these people
I received my online order at the door and once I opened it, I realized that one of the pizza's was incorrect. I called the store to speak about the mistake which I soon realized was an online order issue on our side and was still met with hostility and aggressive attitude over the phone. There was another time where they were the ones who messed up our order and again were incredibly rude. I would consider re-analyzing your staff and finding polite people who are kind to strangers.
Their pizza is too greasy anyways.
On 6/23 at 7:09 I placed an order for delivery with this store and received an email with an estimated wait time of 47 minutes which is pretty standard in this neighborhood. I love that the app lets you check the status of your pizza so at the 50 minute mark I checked and it was still at the "preparing" stage which I found to be rather odd so I contacted them to find out what the deal was (thinking maybe there was a glitch with the app) and I was told that they were waiting for a delivery driver. At this point it's after 8 so I had to go ahead and eat something I had at home so I checked the status 30 minutes later and it still says "preparing" so I get on the live chat to cancel my pizza but it glitches out this time (conveniently?) and when I get it to finally come back up the texts came in where they had informed me that they couldn't cancel my order and refund my money because my pizza just went out to be delivered. They also gave me a link to click on that they said I could complain directly to the higher ups but it was a survey so I did that and asked to be contacted due to my cold pizza that took over two hours to get to me. A few days later I got the regular generic survey asking about my experience which I also took and asked to be contacted… no response from either. I got another email several days after that saying so sorry about your experience, have you been contacted yet to which I said no and please do contact me to which they said they would expedite this issue. It is July 23rd and I have STILL not heard from anyone. I'm pretty sure I've given them enough time to make this right which is why I decided to leave this bad review. I would have been happy with someone just contacting me and saying they were sorry and giving me some coupons but not now.
My husband and I eat pizza often and it's challenging sometimes to get good pizza. I'm not sure what has happened recently, but the Papa John's pizza we ordered the last several times has been really delicious. Thank you for making improvements. We are definitely happy customers.
Hardly no meat... I ordered it twice, bad decision after I had explained barely any meat the 1st time, and on the 2nd order there was even bites with no meat. Not worth it! Ate something similar, only $11.00 from a way better place called Veros Chicago pizza. Good luck with half $#*! food! The meat from Veros was an inch thick!
Order a pizza from Papa Johns in Forsyth GA on Hwy 83 at a service station. Ordered a meat lovers pizza, half with jalapeño on it. Got home and see we still live in a screwed world of people that are working( praise the Lord and Thank you for working) but have NO clue what you are doing. Opened the box to find half cheese pizza and the meat lovers side had no cheese on it. It was meaty, ham, ground beef, sausage, pepperoni but no cheese. It just feel off when you picked it up to eat it. I believe this is the first pizza I have ever eaten that is cheeseless. Sorry Papa J, but I couldn't pass on this one. I would have taken a picture of the receipt but they did not give me one.
Totally unacceptable. Informed the staff and was told the pans have all the pizzas looking like this but it's not burnt. Usually I go to Lovers Pizza but they were closed. So next time I will have to use Domino's.
Ordered a simple Philly Cheese Steak - Ordered extra steak and extra green peppers... There was NO steak and very little green peppers. Horrible food. This is in Fountain City (Knoxville, TN) at: 2901 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN. No Steak in Double Steak Philly Cheeststeak. I'm a great tipper - so I went ahead and tipped extra, because I know these guys are supporting a family. No steak in the Philly Cheese Steak Pizza. Barely any green peppers (which costs 2 cents). Going into the garbage. Thanks Fountain City Papa Johns! Going into the garbage.
The Margaret Street Papa John's Pizza location is FABULOUS! Not only do they make great food, but they give top-notch customer service. I an 70. My granddaughter usually orders on my app. I tried today and needed help. Tge STORE/HAVEN from Heaven helped me out. Love you guys!
I ordered the stuffed crust pizza, the cookie chocolate chip, and the 15 breaded chicken nuggets that comes with your choice of sauce. But when you ordered jumps from 8 to 15 they don't think you need an additional sauce... so I order and pay for an extra sauce because I know they're too damn cheap to adding that the store. Although the Nuggets were almost double in size. And guess what happened to me my damn sauce never came to my house I called to complain and the person on the other end of the phone says well what would you like me to do about it? Give me my damn credit for the item that I did not receive or should you come out here with the 50 Cent item because y'all don't know how to read. Just dumb things like this are enough to set people off where they won't return and give their business again pretty damn sad hey.
This papa John's pizza place by 112th SW 312th st federalway WA has the best customer service. Every time I go there i always feel very welcomed by the way they great and welcome everyone that comes through the door. I meet different staff and they are all very welcoming and friendly. They work as a team you can tell. Their pizzas are always hot when I pick up for delivery. This place is the best location to pick up pizza and is also clean and organized. Thankyou Papa John's for great service.
I've loved Papa Johns for years. Their bubbly crispy crust could not be beat. However in the last couple years, their pizza has not been as good. The crust. No bubbles, it's dense and although I always get well done, it never tastes fully cooked. I keep ordering, thinking maybe it was just a bad night at Papa Johns, but when the pizza arrives, I'm disappointed yet again. So I am taking Papa Johns off my speed dial and going to give my business to a local pizza chain.
I just opened up my large pizza from papa Johns in Battle Creek, on Columbia Ave. I ordered it on-line.
I requested 3-toppings. When I opened it I saw one or two thin strips of Canadian Bacon; about 1/2 Inch X 16 of an inch. Add the same for onions, which were a little wider. And the green peppers were much larger, there were about two on each piece. Wow, what a $#*!en rip-off. I will not go there again. Sorry, I was so surprised of what I found, I failed to take a photo. Unable to send photo of receipt as your site states my photo for receipt is to large. How can you down-load a photo?
Today June 3rd, 2022 I ordered a pizza from Papa John's at 6:30 PM. I waited for a bout 45 minutes I call decided to call the store but the line was buy for the next 50 minutes. I hung up and I called their number again and selected option 2 to find out the status of my order but I was put on a stupid phone commercial that repeats after 5 minutes. Then without warning the call just cuts out. I called their customer service and found that my order was voided but they cannot tell me why. They could have at least call me to inform me that it was voided so that I didn't waste time trying to get a hold of them or wait for my pizza. Also has Papa John's fallen on hard time that they had to hire cheap third world workers who can barely speak English to answer their phone? Come on this is very unprofessional and it will be the last time I use their service.
Paid $40 for large Hawaiian extra cheese sausage onion and jalapeños. Barely any ingredients and 1/3 of edge no ingredients at all. Called and they blamed it on corporate portion control. Location closed and reopened under different management. First two orders fantastic now horrible. Won't ever give Papa Johns my business. Firestone Colorado
Answer: Barrows was closed for remodeling, great pizza and wings with an awsome antipasto salad that feed 4 for $12.
