My paint was a tricoat for 2014 chevy impala. I got a base coat, a mid coat and clear. I put down the base coat that was a bit whiter than original paint. Then I added midcoat until the color matched perfectly with original paint. Of course then followed with clear. I have not buffed it out yet. But I am sure no one will ever notice my repair, also this was on the front of my hood.
