OBE is the WORST! I have been trying to terminate with them for over a MONTH now. Read the last three reviews on this joke of a company. I have put out on my EXP intranet-- STAY away. They lie, they don't do what they say the will, then as an added BONUS they try to keep you to their verbal contract. They truly are the WORST company I have ever dealt with in my 30+ working career. I would give them minus 5 stars if possible. DO NOT EVER do business with them. I am going to the BBB also and I hope they are proud of their one star review from their own associates. #THEWORST
While the content of the service is not bad and perhaps even a necessary evil. I was told on multiple calls a simple pay per month basis and can cancel anytime... I have tried to cancel. Someone from the company will call you and attempt to get to to stay on. They will continue to argue and threaten to continue charging your card for up to 1 year. Immediately after hanging up they charged my card for another month! Stay away... desperate people/companies do desperate things!
Hi Bruce,
I'm so sorry your expectations were set incorrectly-- as you should have seen from your receipt, our initial partnership is a 12-month term because top-of-mind marketing takes time and investment to pay off. I will be contacting you by private message to get more account details, so I can work to resolve some of your difficulties.
Thanks,

This company, Outbound engine, does nothing but generic marketing for you. It sounded real good on the phone. He told me he would do paid marketing for me, marketing like how I found them on facebook! That was a lie. I paid $500... for them to set up a business facebook page and post generic post on Facebook which went to no one Just like a great website unless you pay to market it it gets to no one. This company thinks I'm going to pay another $450 a month they are full of it! I have told them 3 times I was cancelling and they still send me emails like I never said anything to them. When I talked to the pushy woman on the phone I finally told her I had to go and she continue to call and email saying we were not through talking. I emailed back and said yes I was. So this month instead of charging me $450 they charged my cc $249... Like that's going to be ok... This company is a scam... STAY AWAY lot's of companies will set up business facebook for $40

I have used Outbound Engine for over 2 years. They were charging me $249 per month until I called as I saw on the internet the price was $179 per month. Their emails bounce as they are mass emails and most ISP bounce them. They then mark the email invalid but don't notify you that it was bounced. I included my own email and didn't receive their weekly email I was paying for. When I called to cancel for non performance all they wanted to do was argue, refuse to cancel even though I clearly stated in both email and telephone I was cancelling the service! I am still trying to get my money back from unauthorized charges to my credit card! Don't give them your credit card! You will regret it!

I have been working with OutboundEngine for about 5 years. Prior to working with them I had no social marketing program or the time to develop one for my Insurance Agency. Using my contact list they send out professionally written information about products those contacts may own, insure, or have questions about. I get a lot of positive feedback on the quality of the content and how much people appreciate the information. It keeps my name and my agency in their mind when they are thinking insurance. The people at OutboundEngine are wonderful to work with and they will tailor a program to fit your needs.
I love OutboundEngine. The content is relative and informative to my clients and I don't even have to think about it. It just runs without me even having to touch anything. And yet my clients get contact from me all week on social media and a newsletter every 2 weeks. It's perfect.
As a Realtor I have been with Outbound Engine for 6 months and have received nothing worthwhile. When I tried to cancel, it was impossible without paying a large fee for the remainder of the contract. It is a waste of money and time to be with this company. Companies like this make it very difficult to listen to any on-line market plans. I regret my association with this company. I still have several more months to pay for this worthless service.
The system allows me to stay top of mind with my sphere of influence. The automated contact with my sphere is very helpful in retaining repeat and referral business.
It's nice to stay in front of clients and prospective customers, however, I don't get a lot of response from customers. I don't feel it really is a service that gains me much of any business.
It always looks pretty good.
I am a realtor that tried out this company for my marketing. Over the past 6 months I never really was able to see any benefit with outboundengine. I reached out and told them I was not seeing any results and I wanted to cancel. They told me they were going to charge me a large amount of money to cancel. They will put you in a 12-month agreement because they don't stand behind their service. Any company that forces you not to cancel should be a BIG RED FLAG! Don't use them because they only care about your money.
Hi Garett,
I'm so sorry to hear about your negative experience with OutboundEngine! We do ask our customers to sign on for a 12 month term -- not because we don't stand behind our service, which we absolutely do, but because top-of-mind marketing takes time. Our philosophy is based on keeping you in touch with your sphere of influence so that when they are in need of your services, or know someone who is, you're the first person they think of and reach out to.
I'll also reach out offline to see if there's something we can do on our end to make your overall experience with OutboundEngine a better one.
Thanks,

Two weeks after signing up with them I had a major life situation change that would financially strap me. I sent an email to let them know I could no longer afford the service. A "solution specialist" called me and said he could waive one month fee but if I cancelled they would charge me $2,000.00
I explained to him one month was not going to help that this would be a long term uphill situation. No sympathy what so ever. So far the posts they have made have gotten zero engagement which makes it even worse because it doesn't appear they will be helping my financial situation at all. I have learned my lesson. Never sign up with this company or any other one that has a contract. They don't care about people. Just their money.

I paid them over $10,000 and received nothing worthwhile. Then when I tried to cancel they strung me along, saying that they would note the date of the request but I would have to a Solution Specialist before it would be final. I notified them i writing, same thing. I talked to the Solution Specialist, * He just tried to convince me to continue to waste my money. Even though I was assured by him that I would not be billed any further, my credit card was charged. When I called to get the charge credited, the BS continued.
The bottom line is do not get mixed up with this company. Their product is worthless and their customer service is non-existent.

We have been OutboundEngine customers for several years now. They are idiots, don't expect to get any support. Been hung up on, run around. Just terrible!

I should have known it would be a very sketchy company on my first call. I received a call from David saying "I called you previously you don't remember my call from yesterday?" I said "I'm sorry I don't" because I have been reaching out to other direct mail marking companies so I assumed he was one of them. Then he began to say he found my information from his marketing team who feeds him leads and also he had my outdated information with my old broker. Which means he lied from the get go. I was not satisfied with the sales call and was not that interested in their product once I did a quick research online to see that the customer service was terrible. I've tried other marketing companies that handle social media and email marketing for you, and my number one dissatisfaction with them was also the customer service. David pushed hard for the sale, but I simply wasn't interested and didn't like my interaction with him.
Hi Francine - I'm so sorry to hear you received a call from us with outdated information. However, it also sounds from your comment that you didn't work with us, so didn't have a chance to experience our customer service yourself. I can promise that our customer success team is friendly and always here to help :). Wishing you the best of luck in your business endeavors! Thanks, Taylor
Very rude and completely dismissive of the rights of consumers to have their privacy protected and not be solicited. Multiple violations, unethical practices and a VERY SCUMMY COMPANY!!
Disappointed in their content and program. Dissatisfied with their service and instead of telling me we are sorry we would like to satisfy you but if not we will cancel everything. Instead their position if you cancel the service they say no cancellation unless you pay the balance due in
Due. Who wants to do business with a company like that today.
Had a guy named * call a while back and pretend he was interested in listing his home. After 30 seconds of his questioning, I realized he was a salesman and I immediately cut him off and asked if it was a sales call because I was about to meet up with a client soon and was not in a position to have that conversation. After he insisted on letting me hear his pitch since "I obviously had time to talk since I answered the phone," I hung up. He then called me back 5 minutes later and I asked him what company he worked for and to put me on the do not call list. He said he was with Yodle and immediately hung up. I called him back and was rerouted to another salesman * or * and asked what company they were with and they said Outbound Engine. I placed a complaint and asked for them to never call me again.
Im sure they may have a decent product, but falsely stating you're with another company to cover your@$$ is unethical. Watch out if you get calls like this.
