Excellent store
July 13, 2018

I purchased many of products from Opsgear in 2014 and 2015 including DVDs, clothing and tactical and rescue gear. They had excellent customer service and good prices. They promptly responded to emails, and quickly shipped items.

Do not shop here
October 17, 2017

I purchased a two week survival bag over a month ago. After waiting two weeks, I cancelled my order andam still waiting for a full refund. I opened a dispute with my credit card company. My next step is small claims court if the refund doesnt materialize soon. This company is long on promises and short on delivering service. Buyer beware.

Hi David. We (DP Creations, LLC) acquired OPSGEAR at the end of 2017. I am sorry for your experience with the old OPSGEAR, but rest assured it will not happen with the new OPSGEAR. And I think you did the right thing to dispute the credit card charge. The old OPSGEAR drop shipped most of what they sold, and didn't actually stock much of anything. In contrast, we stock everything we sell, and have the fastest shipping in the industry. The downside is that we are still building our inventory, so there currently aren't as many SKU's on our opsgear.com website as the former OPSGEAR had. But we are adding more daily. Also, we will soon be adding firearms to our website-- that is an area where the old OPSGEAR never went. We have a lot of experience in the firearms industry, having Handgun Haven (handgunhaven.com), where we have the largest stock of handguns of anyone in Utah. So stay tuned! -Nevin Pratt, CEO of OPSGEAR2

Hi Dennis. Please see my reply to David, above. The OPSGEAR of today (my company) is a different company than what you purchased from. I bought the trademark and domains from David Burnell (the former OPSGEAR company owner). I don't have access to most of the old OPSGEAR company's data, but I would like to know if you eventually either got your order, or a refund. I want to make sure you were taken care of. Please email me at: nevin at opsgear dot com. -Nevin Pratt, CEO of OPSGEAR2

Buyer beware
October 9, 2017

I put a order in 42 days ago and still have not received anything. I emailed them 14 days after the order because I never got a tracking number. The order said fulfilled on there website. They did email back and said they would get back to me with a tracking number. Of course no tracking number and no items yet. Learned my lesson. I will never order from them again.

Hi Jeremy. Please see my replies to comments above. Similarly, I want to make sure you were taken care of, even though it was not my company you were dealing with. Please email me at: nevin at opsgear dot com if you need anything, or if you were not eventually taken care of by the former OPSGEAR company.

You'll be sorry!
September 26, 2017

Last August I ordered a pair of trousers and a shirt for a total of about $135.00. Waited a week before I was notified that the items were not slated to be shipped for awhile, citing "warehouse issues". I responded to them that I didn't have the time to wait for my items, and requested that the order be cancelled and my money refunded, per their "100% satisfaction guaranteed" claim. Crickets. Didn't hear a thing. Complained many times, left numerous phone messages and e-mails for them, threatening to make a complaint to the BBB and the federal government office of consumer affairs, all without any reply. Finally, I received a box with the items I ordered, but nothing else. I've never opened the box, trying to figure out a way to return it and have my money refunded. I will NEVER buy from these idiots again, and will warn any other person to stay away from them. I've left negative reviews wherever I can, and have told people about these losers. This is touted as a veteran-owned company, but it can't be because of the treatment people get from these clowns... a veteran would never do this to another veteran. They just want to tap into the "veteran-owned" consumer supply because vets tend to buy from other vets. It's a scam. Stay away, and spread the word. Make these guys go bankrupt!

Hi A R. I think you pretty much got your wish when you said "Make these guys go bankrupt!". (Chuckle). The former OPSGEAR company sold pretty much all of their remaining assets to me in the latter part of 2017. My company (DP Creations, LLC -- e.g. "DPCR") has taken over the OPSGEAR brand as a result. Try us again-- we will not disappoint. DPCR is known for the fastest shipping in the industry. -Nevin Pratt, CEO of OPSGEAR2

Do NOT buy from these clowns. I don't know if it's a case of Mgmt not knowing what the shipping dept or billing dept is doing or they just like to play the "WE SUPPORT THE MILITARY AND LE" card to rip honest consumers off but their seemingly straight up website is nothing but a front for a CC scam. I ordered a pr of boots but canceled order after waiting w wks with no verification of the purchase from them. My CC was charged within 24 hrs. Non-responsive to emails, phone calls. Three wks later I rec'd email stating that the order would be cancelled and my CC refunded. It has been 45 days and still no refund and no response to emails. Its as if they hope you'll just forget about it, write it off, and they'll still have their "virtual inventory" AND your money to fund their next kegger celebrating another yr. Of fraud. If the owner is a USAF vet, he needs to get his sierra together or do his freefall quals without a 'chute.

Hi David. You can read some of my responses above, but I'll add a little more info here. The former OPSGEAR company worked on the "drop ship" business model, and never actually stocked much of anything. When the website said something was "in stock", all it meant was that their last data feed from the vendor had it marked "in stock" at the vendor. OPSGEAR would then order product from the vendor when they received the order from you. OPSGEAR would then mark the order as "fulfilled", archive it, and trust that the vendor would actually deliver. That is a *very* poor business model, in my opinion. In contrast, my company (the new owner of the OPSGEAR brand) stocks everything we sell, and we ship within hours of an order being placed. We are an entirely different company, with an entirely different business model, and an entirely different level of funding. Try us again, we will not disappoint you. The downside of how we work, though, is that there are now not as many SKU's (products) on the opsgear.com website as before. But everything that is there is actually in our warehouse. And we are adding more products daily. -Nevin Pratt, CEO of OPSGEAR2

Dont buy!
March 12, 2017

Just dont. They dont deliver, they lie, they didn't even respond to my emails. IF you buy anything do it through a 3rd party (PayPal etc) so you can get your money back from them, that's what I did. I of course got a response from them saying something was wrong and "we will ship it right away" after I got my money back from PayPal like 2 months later. It's like they didn't even realize I was already getting my money back from PayPal. DONT BUY!

Paid in full but never received product. If I can save one person from wasting their money and time then I'd feel vindicated. Do not use this vendor! Have complained multiple times with the response that it's in the mail. They use UPS to send the products to get a tracking number but send it to themselves in Woodscross Utah so they get their product back plus your money. Did spend $450 on these coins and received nothing. Buyer beware.

I purchased an item that did not get delivered--customer service said it was sent to their review process. No follow up email, no product delivery, no credit given for purchase. I chose ground deliver via Fed Ex (a company I have confidence in)... they later said it was sent by ground via U.S. Postal--which never arrived. I believe they use the excuse of unreliable U.S. Postal service as a scam for non-delivery. Avoid at all cost or you may lose your purchase price and the associated follow up time--not to mention the stress and disappointment.

Same as almost everyone else's complaint on here. This Joshua guy who I am assuming now after reading everyone else's reviews is only customer service rep OPSGEAR has. No communication and will not return calls or emails. They are frauds! Made order a month ago still haven't received the items. Will not cancel my freaking order and return my money. One pissed off veteran here!

I purchased a pair of Danner boots and Ops Gear sent the wrong size and would never give me credit for them and wanted me to pay to have them shipped back. I ended up sending to manufacturer. I won't be buying Danner Boots or especially from Ops Gear. After returning to manufacturer, I still had to put a dispute on my credit card to get the refund even though credit card gave Ops Gear the money back.

Review update
January 24, 2017

3 days after initiating a CC dispute (and still no word from OPSGEAR) the boots arrived and I got an email from the company apologizing for the "lack of communication." Unfortunately, the dispute caused the cancellation of the CC and a reissuance of another card--a huge hassle for autopay accounts.

Be sure to make submit to BBB, your bank, the state of UT, etc. Banks take a dim view of this kind of business, even if they couldn't give two schnits themselves...

Poor excuse for a store
January 17, 2017

This will be my one and olny purchase from this company. Thave taken half a month to process my purchase and it has not even been shipped yet. Customer service is non-existent. They do not return emails or hone calls. All call to them are routed to voice mail hell. I guess they rely on one time purchases to stay in business!

Incompetent
December 29, 2016

I really think Ops Gear doesn't care about their reputation in this industry. Despite numerous attempts to contact them by phone and by email to get a status on my order, they ignored all messages, including my request to cancel the order. Due to their irrisponsiveness, I resorted to purchase the items from another vendor and request a refund from them, eventually involving the Utah Better Business Bureau to reach out to them on my behalf. They then shipped my order despite my cancellation. I will never do business with them again, and discourage same.

Horrible service
December 27, 2016

Ordered something on Dec. 3rd for Christmas to be shipped to Italy. Hoping to get it faster, changed address (on the 20th of Dec. It still had not shipped) to a DPO at the embassy. Dec. 27th it is somewhere in Chicago. They do not respond to e-mails and appears only resorting to giving negative reviews will help to bring them to their senses that customer satisfaction should be their focus.
