I have been or I was with Opinion Outpost since the fall of 2010. I have had my ups and downs with the site, but I have never thought that I would be suspended from doing surveys with the site. I have gone out of my way to take my time during survey, contacting customer service when there were errors, recommending the site to other survey takes and now I am not longer able to take surveys with them. Up until Friday I thought the site was awesome. Over the years I have done surveys, product testings, online forums, focus groups... so on and so forth. I never talked about the surveys I did and made sure my answers were well thought out and accurate. I made a point of taking it seriously. On Saturday, I try to log in and my account was frozen. Tonight I receive an email that says it is frozen because of inaccurate answers and for not being attentive. That is so not me. Also, I would think that since I have been with them for so long they might have thought, maybe her account got hacked or maybe something else happened. Not just up and suspend me so I cannot get the money I had already earned or get proof of what they are talking about. Today I just received products that I am suppose to be taking a survey on in their site. I guess I will contact that marketing group to let them know I can no longer participate. I don't hate Opinion Outpost. I enjoyed them for years. I am just very sadden how it came to an end and I feel like I should have gotten the benefit of the doubt, They said they investigated. I wish I could see what they investigated. Anyway, be careful if you sign up with them, make sure you cash out as soon as you get to a reward amount, be sure to be as accurate as possible.

THEY DON'T PAY OUT THE MONEY FOR THE SURVEYS. AS SOON AS YOU CLICK TO REDEEM, YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE FROZEN... DUE TO "DATA CONCERNS". STAY FAR AWAY! GET THIS COMPANY CLOSED DOWN IF POSSIBLE. EASIEST WAY IS TO NOT DO THEIR SURVEYS AND THEY WON'T BE IN BUSINESS.DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM.

Very average survey site
September 9, 2018

Unfortunately I can only give a give it an "ok" rating. There hasn't been many surveys either on the site or through emails and the minimum to cash out is quite high so I am not sure I will ever get there. Their support does not respond to emails/tickets.

At first it was eh. After one month, it was harder and harder to "qualify" for a survey. At four months, I tried to cash out my first $5... Then things got really fishy.

- You can spend a half hour on one survey just to: have the survey freeze, have a screen flash calling you "dishonest" for no reason, or earn a mere. O1.
- If you try to cash out for more than 1 gift card, your account is locked for no reason. Getting ahold of a representative is difficult; once you do, they just say, "you were dishonest/ you answered the survey too fast" - eh hem I'M PRETTY CERTAIN I KNOW MY AGE! - yes this is the question it locked on!
- It takes access of your webcam and microphone - keep your virus scan on!

Dis Hoinest company
October 23, 2017

This in my experience this company, they are did Honest on their web-site it states that a another company is using their name which is not True- 1. Here's how their scam works 3yrs ago they were good they paid people, now they tell you 1. Sign up 2.do as many surveys as you can, they clam to cash out at 50 points -$5.00 100-points $10.00 they pay you threw pay pal or Amazon Gift card. So this what they do when its time to cash out they1 freeze your account so you cant sign into your accont. 2. then they say wait 7days then they say they will get back to you. 3 someone emails you and asks for all your emails your address were you live as well, this makes know since sense they have all your account info when you signed up do not waste your time this Fake company! Thanks!

Waste of time!
September 23, 2017

This site is garbage now. I used to be able to earn weekly at least with them however long ago and now it's like pulling teeth to get even 5-10 pts. Even If I get 20 or more I'm stuck like that for a while wasting time getting kicked out of several surveys well into spending a great deal on them. I feel like the beginning placement surveys is like a survey within itself. Because it's not taking my info and matching me to a survey I can actually complete and earn points for. So it's like I waste my time working on giving them free answers. This site is just garbage now. I might finally just part my ways.

My experience with OpinionOutpost.com was positive in the beginning - surveys were frequent & I was lucky to qualify for some that paid reasonably well. I made the mistake of using the "Refer A Friend" feature, referring my neighbor. The Terms & Conditions state that it's 1 member per HOUSEHOLD. That's it. Well, I got the "frozen" due to "data concern" message one day. The Help Desk had to look into it for weeks. They finally get back to me after I badger them for an answer. They accuse me of having MORE THAN ONE ACCOUNT and banned me! This was NOT TRUE but they didn't want to hear anything else from me - CASE CLOSED!. I think the problem was allowing my neighbor to jump on my wireless hotspot using my cell phone internet, as well as allowing her to send a payment to my Paypal account until hers was verified and she received her debit card. I checked the T&C before going forward and since I saw NOTHING in their T&C that states this is against their rules, I felt that it was acceptable. I am not 100% certain this is the reason, but it's my best guess because Opinion Outpost never gave me an answer except I violated their T&C and was no longer a member. One person told me I had multiple accounts, but wouldn't elaborate on how both accounts could possibly be mine. I used my computer at home with a wired connection, my neighbor used her computer using my wireless connection (I think it was a laptop but it could have been an ipad or tablet). Either way, I couldn't find any info in the T&C that mentioned a shared Paypal account being a violation. And the worst part of it all is that I was a very active member, cashing out over $400 in 3 months, and my neighbor was a registered member for a month at the most and it took her the whole month to accumulate enough to cash out $10. If this REALLY were a 2nd account created BY ME, FOR ME, I'm SURE that I would have earned much more than that, especially if the point of a 2nd account is to make extra cash. What would be the benefit to me if it was an extra $10 a MONTH?
So anyone who is on a roll right now with the site, I'd be careful and stay away from the referral option because they may give you the referral credit at first, but later they may link your account to your referrals, then ban you and I lost all my earnings, and my poor neighbor now thinks ALL online surveys are scams and a waste of time because of the experience she had with this site. I felt bad for the referral and wish I never did it on their site. They also went so far as to kick me off ipoll.com after they bought them out. The reason was multiple accounts - and even though it wasn't on iPoll.com, they still merged their records and I was kicked off after being a member there for over a year. Any site SSI owns is operated the same way, and they have the worst customer service.

Breathtaking!
July 5, 2017

This site is like HOME! At first I am so hesitant about taking surveys but I could say. I am glad I did. Being a full time homemaker and have plenty of time this site entertains me. I am making use of my time and get paid. I am positive that this page is worth to sign up. I am excited of coming days what this site, rewards me for my hard work.

Its a SCAM!
February 10, 2017

I have earned over 20.00 worth of gift cards, and they will NOT let me cash them out. They keep coming up with some error code then when you write them they either ignore you or come up with some lame excuse! There are sooo many other good legitimate sites do NOT waste your time with this one!

It's obvious they no longer value me as a member, they have ceased sending me survey invitations and I just cashed out the remaining 50 points worth 5 bucks I had by donating it to Red Cross, especially because it would have been hard to get anything worthwhile from Amazon with a gift card for that amount of money. After completing my last survey with them yesterday, a profile survey at that, I got a message saying my account was now deactivated and that I was no longer a fit for the OO community due to speeding through the surveys or being untruthful - I take exception to that because I always take surveys with great care; furthermore, I was just making changes to my profile based on having different circumstances now. Finally, they just revealed in their new policies that instead of still being able to get paid through PayPal once you have 100 points (worth 10 dollars) in your account, you must wait until you have $50 in your account to cash out.

I think I joined around the first week of Febuarary 2015. The company name is: Survey Sampling International LLC. That is what will appear on your PayPal payment. I'm looking at my 1099 misc from last year. I made $1,196.60. Am I rich? Not from them alone, I also run my own import/export business from my home. Put that together with the other survey companies I'm a member of and I make about $7000 a year. It does involve a lot of time. You will qualify for a lot of surveys, then some days you may not. The biggest problem with this company is, even if you finish a survey and do not get paid or taken back to the main Opinion Outpost homepage, the burden of proof is on you! I have probably over 50 surveys that I finished and did not receive pay. Yet, they always give you the same canned response. They will credit you once the survey closes in 2 - 4 weeks. Not once have I ever been credited. I've probably lost over $90 because they chose not to stand behind their members. A lot of times you will spend 10 minutes on a survey and get disqualified. Then when you look at your survey history it will say you didn't finish the survey. I have brought this up to customer no-support, stating why the hell would I waste 15 minutes of my time completing a survey just to stop and not finish it? Makes no sense, but they choose to ignore it and you, without credit. Altogether on several occasions they have responded with "we see you spent a considerable amount on this survey, here is $ for your time. So they have the ability to see you did the survey or spent lots of time on it, but just they just choose not to pay you! In my Opinion (no pun intended) they could care less about it's members. What do I have to do beyond making $1200 for myself and I'm sure a hell of a lot more for them, to prove you shouldn't screw over your members. I've written them so many times and told them I would love to recommend this company to everyone I come in contact or do business with. I can not do it! Until Opinion Outpost starts standing up for their members and doing away with the scumbag partners that want to screw you out of 50 cents because they choose to disqualify (after 10 minutes of answers) or straight out just not pay you after taking a survey. One good thing is I have actually made an additional $400 testing products sent to my home, I've tested from bread crumbs, noodles, 10 lbs of dog food, peanuts from Doritos and underwear, just to name a few. They are definitely not a scam. I would have loved to give them 5 stars, but I can't. Until they step-up and do what's right (they have the ability to do it) one star is it. The speed and the process of the payment is top notch, unfortunately the lack of members support takes them down! But, give them a try. You will make money and earn your payout.

I reached my 100 points and redeemed them for my $10 payout and I have yet to receive payment. In addition they did not refund my 100 points. I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone. Then all they do is send a standard response when you reach out to them via email. Total waste of my time.

I use this site frequently and check in almost every day for new surveys. If you're patient and don't mind disqualifying for some surveys, it will pay off in the end. Once you hit 100 points (minimum) you can cash out starting at 10 bucks on PayPal. The payments are instant and the money is in your account and usable within minutes. I've been paid every single time, and the one time I had a problem, they fixed it the same day.

Opinion Outpost is a total BS. They've been blocking my account many times when I attempted to redeem my earnings, and finally they blocked me only because I used two of my PayPal accounts.

Not recommended.

Terrible
May 31, 2011

Terrible. There are a lot of very bad reviews out there for this site, but I gave it a try anyway because it was free to sign up - no big loss if it was a scam. And, for the most part, it is a scam. Out of probably 200+ surveys I've taken, I only qualified for about 3 of them, and I'm a pretty average American. Often, you will spend at least 20 minutes or more answering questions to see if you qualify for the survey in question... only to find out an hour later you're not a good match. You'll lose hours out of your day trying to qualify for these surveys, even if you lie, they'll still find a way to get all kinds of statistical data about you, your life, etc. just trying to qualify for the survey... and you get nothing out of it except for lost time. In a few months I'v made about $9.50, and I take at least an hour before bedtime trying to qualify for a survey. I haven't been able to complete a survey for money from this site in several weeks, despite that. They will get your data, they will get their survey answers - by wasting your time and telling you that you don; t qualify afterall! Sorry!
