This card sucks
October 19, 2017

This card sucks! If you make a payment of $50.00, they hold your money for 5 business days. I was on hold for 20 mins waiting for some one to answer and then I finally got someone who picked up and hung up the phone on me! Then I called back and was only that phone call for 55 mins before someone answered me. I have another credit card with First Premier that I've had for 9 months and they have been nothing but great! I make $400.00 payments at times with access within 24 hours! Today I closed this account due to the hassle and would definitely NOT recommend this card to anyone. I close the account and it takes 3-4 weeks to get my deposit back!

Credit limit
October 16, 2017

I got a $200 credit for my secured account. I've been diligently paying full always a week before payment due. Suddenly, my card keeps on getting declined, saying my card was over limit. Going to my account, calculating all my transactions, it didn't even reach near the limit! And since they updated their system, I can't trace my previous statements anymore! Like everything was wiped out! Is this a scam or something? But in all fairness, my credit score did increase lot after opening my secured account.

STAY AWAY!
October 11, 2017

Ive been on hold over 2 hours! I can not get a hold of anyone at this company. The online support never works! They answered at 2 hours and 37 minutes, I was transferred twice with an additional 30 minutes of hold time between those transfers. First time I was transferred to wrong department, second time, it was a guy saying it was an attempt to collect a debt. Funny how I can have a debt on a secured card that I haven't ever used bcz I never even received even tho they took my damn money! And now I need to pay them 103 dollars bcz they are reporting to my credit bureau that it was charged off for that amount. So much for HELPING my credit! As soon as he answered and gave his attempt to collect a debt speel, I said well, I would like you to collect my debt please and update my credit report and just as he was telling me he can take my payment but not do anything about my credit report the call was disconnected. After being on the phone for the better part of my day unable to make any other calls or do anything else since my phone was tied up, I am physically ill and I have to give up. This is the only thing at this point keeping me from home ownership. I am going to need to call an attorney. Do your selves a favor and read the reviews. Its a scam. Do NOT give them your money.

Horrible! Stay Away!
September 27, 2017

Been a customer for 2 years and they have ignored my email requests to provide a legal; address to file a formal complaint. Custiomer service is virtually non-existent with wait times over 30 minutes. Erronious $1 charge on my card that they said I didn; t pay for 2 months causing score drop of 35 points yet they will not discuss and keep referring to credit bureau. DO NOT do business with this sham of a company.

Class lawsuit
September 25, 2017

They refused my 40 dollar payment. Said, it was a ACH issue only after waiting 2 months. But what was funny. I told them to close this account 2 months ago. They kept it open. Started reporting negative payments. Customer Service they are mostly people that don't speak well English. I had some man customer service representative insult me several times. But couldn't explain payment reversal. Have not got in contact with me at mostly. I think they would like a class law suit.

Ghetto company!
September 20, 2017

It took six weeks to receive my card in the mail. Customer service is horrible. I had to make my first payment (35.00) by telephone before I had received my card. It takes a week before your payment is posted to your account. Try capital one or anything other then Opensky.

Another upset customer. My husband found the company to rebuild my credit. Usual complaints: It took a week for payments to clear, I was stuck at doctor offices and checkouts when card was usually declined. After being forced to use an overdraft from my checking account in order to leave a doctor's office (and the fees involved), I cancelled the card. Next problem: I was turned over to collections 6 weeks later when the account was 'accidentally' not initially closed out. Now I have to wait another 6 weeks to see if I ever receive my deposit. Turns out the Customer service company providing services for them are even dropping the account. I'm reporting them for fraudulent practices, the company needs to be shut down.

Got approved for a card beginning of August and here it is 09/11 and no card. Everytime I call customer service they tell me to wait a little longer. "oh it barely Tuesday call back Friday" "Oh its just Friday call back Tueday" and so on. Its horrible. Finally when we figured out the issue (they don't forward to po boxes) the represantive who identified herself as a supervisor actually tried talking me out of requesting a new card by saying that I would have to wait an extra 10 days after establishing I wouldn't be able to get my card with original address I applied with.

First let's start of with the company's business hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and not open on weekends. That should be enough to deter you from opening an account with them. If that does not, then next... when you make a payment on your account, it does not post for a week. That means that your account will still show the money is due ene after the money is drawn from your account. If you dispute a charge in your account it takes forever to have the dispute resolved.

Not only did this card not build any credit after years for me it actually hurt my credit. There appeared to be an automatic ACH issue on the account. I talked to 3 different Supervisors on numerous occasions and each continued to tell me a different stories. One would say there was no ACH Issue or auto pay on the account, but I would still have problems making payments online, the next Supervisor told me there was an ACH for $1. But he removed it. At any rate it caused me nothing but problems and they never could give me straight answer. Then after I finally gave up and closed the account they advised me it will take 10-14 weeks for my refund... What a joke, you are better off to keep shopping for a legit company!

Do not touch with a ten foot pole. I applied for this card, which required pre-pay of deposit and annual fee, and waited for a response. By the time they told me I was approved I didn't want the card. I told them I was not accepting the offer. The weakly tried to tell me I couldn't have the annual fee back before I pointed out the cardholder agreement had not been accepted so I didn't owe them any money (you have to use the account or card before the agreement is considered accepted- different companies have different things that constitute acceptance so this may not be applicable for other cards.) After I said that I was put on hold and the representative was back within a minute and apologized for the misunderstanding and said the annual fee would be refunded as I hadn't agreed to open the card yet.

Fast forward three months- I have disputed the opened card (yes they reported it as opened anyway) in June, July, and August and the first two times they've told the credit reporting agency (TransUnion) I opened it. This time I disputed it with Experian to see if they pay more attention to the fact that the cardholder agreement is very explicit that I did not meet the requirements necessary for the cardholder to assume I accepted the card. I called OpenSky both times before, this time I won't bother, I'll just wait to see if it negatively impacts me in a real and financial way and if it does then I'll sue in small claims court.
