Takes almost than 3 weeks to process a payment. This payment was made on May 1st and didn't post until the 19th. Payment was $114 that is shown should have brought me to a 0 balance. Since 1 transaction was made for $20. It's May 22nd and my card was declined for $3 even though it shows I have available credit as you can see. On top of that I should have more available credit than it shows. Can someone please tell me how to pay a past due balance of $0?... I'm confused. How can the consumer better their credit and keep track of their account if the company is not updating the info?

What's going on!
April 18, 2019

My payment has cleared my Bank account and NO email has been sent yet stating my payment has been received I don't know what your company is doing but your company needs to speed up the process and I mean QUICK. It would have been a week as of this Friday and I feel like this is going NO WHERE. I check my bank account three to four times a day and my check showed that it cleared on the 12th of April. So I should have got an email on Monday that my card is on its way. I have reported companies to the BBB before and I surely don't want to add this one to my list. And IF your cards are mailed from your PA headquarters it shouldn't take 10 days just for a card to come to me especially being that I live in PA as well too. And when I check my status it just says GOOD NEWS We've received your deposit uh no my deposit has already cleared. I feel like this is a SCAM to be honest. And by the way I'M A NEW MEMBER TO OPEN SKY and IF this is how you treat new members you're in for a surprise. I also check my emails three to four times a day and got nothing as well either. I find this to be VERY PATHETIC.

The necklace came with the big stone cracked and soon the middle stone at the bottom fell out. I should have taken a picture, but I couldnt get rid of it fast enough. Now it is in a landfill. What a waste of money.

Great service
March 21, 2019

Nice article! If you're in need of fast (within 3 days), reliable & effective credit repair solutions. I will urge you to contact;
Computerworm. Hacker [AT] Hotmail. C o m
I have confirmed their job and I can boldly say this that they are the only credit repairer that have direct relationships with all the 3 federal credit bureaus, what they do is look out for the negative items dragging your score down, clear credit card debts, remove inquiries, tax liens, eviction and late payments. They also provide additional lifetime coaching services to ensure that your credit report and score remain up in the high 790s and accurate forever. And the sooner you get started, the sooner you'll see the results that will have you on your way to reaching your financial goals (purchasing a house or car, a good job or business loans). Also, my husband just got qualified for a business loan of $245,000 through these people and I can place a bet on them because I am sure they will always come through no matter how bad the credit is. My husband had the worst credit but they came through for us in just few days. So, what are you waiting for?

I wasn't going to obtain a credit card because I didn't want to have to pay credit card bills but I went ahead and got this card with a $250 deposit to try to repair some of the damage done to my credit record by Navient / Sallie Mae, their lies, and student loans. Long story I won't go into.

I've only had the card about three months, but the card itself always works. Payments do take several days to process into available credit (something that actually baffles me in this day and age), but that isn't a problem. I don't really understand why other reviewers are posting such bad reviews. My experience with them has been nothing but positive so far. I typically pay the bill as soon as the statement comes out. My statements close on the 9th; the bill is due by the 6th of the following month. Paying on the 9th, 10th, or 11th gives the payment three weeks and a touch more to process.

I use it a little bit each month just to make sure I can have some kind of payment to make and something to report to the credit bureaus. Aside from that, it's kind of a nice feeling to know that I have $250 in emergency funds if something should come up. I know that won't go very far for car repairs, but it could get me into the dentist's office or something like that.

Perhaps if your money is so tight that you're immediately desperate for available credit only seconds after submitting a payment, this might not be the card for you. But if you've got a bit of surplus in your income and you can afford to part with your payment funds for a few days, and you can make the payment as soon as the statement comes out, I can't anticipate any problems.

So far, this credit card company has done exactly what they've advertised.

Horrific Company
October 24, 2018

They do nothing they say they're going to do. They take 5-10 days to put funds on your card that you pay online. Don't ever try to quit, they're rude and unapologetic. They don't send your security deposit back, you all need to be aware of this. The money you put on the card initially will NEVER be paid back to you.

Mailed payment in and it arrived 9 days before the payment due date but it took them 12 days to process so had to pay a late payment fee. They will get you with fees regardless of what you do whether it is through paperless statements, paying on line, or late fees. Don't worry they will get there money and make it hard for you not to pay some kind of fee.

Card served it's purpose and now it's closed
September 8, 2018
Updated review

As of the end of August I cancelled this card. I spoke to someone at customer service without incident and cancelled. The card served it's purpose; my daughter has a decent starting credit score and she was now approved for a capital one unsecured credit card with a $1,000 limit automatically. I was told I would receive the 200.00 deposit within 4-6 weeks. It's been approx 2 weeks and I see the refund deposit has arrived in the mail today.

It gets the job done
September 8, 2018
Previous review

Its not a scam, but I was leery too. I got the card for my daughters 18th birthday. Its been 4.5 months and she now has a 680 credit score. All the negative reviews are from people who are irresponsible, dont read and dont bank with an institution. The only negative thing I have to say is that when you make a payment, the available balance and payments received dont update for a few days. Make sure you read through all the functions under your online account. Turn off paper statements so you dont get billed for one. Use the card sparingly and set up automatic bill payments. Have a checking account so you can pay your bill. I have not been charged anything out of the ordinary and have not had any problems with this card.

Dont use this place
July 29, 2018

I never even received the card! I gave them a second chance a requested a new one. Again it never came! Based on the dates they gave me it should have been here days ago. They offer no apology and just tell me to wait it will be there or i can ask them to send me another one! Three credit card numbers before I ever get to use it! That makes to sense to me! I had them cancel my account. Now I am waiting for my money back. I told them Ill be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and who ever else I can. She laughed. Dont use this place! There are better options!

DONT GET THIS CARD
July 5, 2018

There were a lot of issues for this card from customer service to payments credited. The customer service team is AWFUL! They talk to you like you are beneathe them, and try to make you feel stupid. As far as payments, I made a $50 payment on June 29th and a $50 payment on June 30th. My credit isnt even available until the 7th and 9th of this month. Then, when I tried to close my account they told me that it would take 10 business days for my security deposit to be credited, and another 3-4 weeks for my money to be sent back to me. The supervisor I talked to was a piece of work. Worst credit card experience EVER!

Be ware
April 14, 2018

These people are scam artist I never used the card at alll and am constantly being charged a late fee and late payment for a paper statement fee that they issued because Im not registered online and I cant register my account online because I have no physical card. I have tried to reach out to their customer service about the issue and they kept telling me that I owed this late payment and statement fee so I said fine I will pay it and please cancel my credit card account pay my late fees and send me back the balance. They said they would so I just wait for the refund and think that I am all good to go. A month goes by and I get another notice in the mail and Im charged another late fee. Now when I call customer service they always put me on hold for hours and I cant get any one to help. If I call from my phone on file it says that they are loses. They are ruining my good credit. I have been denied bank loans because of a late payment that I cant seem to get them to pay and close the account. My next step is to contact an attorney. It just really makes no sense all because they wont close the account. Buyers be ware of this company and stay away at all cost. Oh and by the way if the people at open sky are reading this please close my accounts with you. Ending in 6662 immediately or please at least contact me. You can reach me through my account number.

My wife and I both closed our accounts with this company four months ago. Every month since, we have been charged a paper statement fee. We have to call to have it cancelled and each time they say it is a mistake and will be handled. Each month there fee appears and we have to call. It is a trivial fee ($3.00) but extremely frustrating to have to have them stop sending us fees for accounts that no longer exist.

It takes them forever (week or more) to process your payment, so I tried to accelerate that by calling them and asking them to conference call with my bank to confirm my bank already sent them the payment.
Open Sky refused to do this, even though it is standard in the credit card industry to do this.
I had to FAX (yes, circa 1970's) proof that my bank sent them money.
The proof had to be something from the bank that said the payment was completely sent (pending bank transactions where you no longer have access to that money don't count), it had to have your address and name on it and account number and the non-pending transaction along with the before and after balance. Very picky.
They also had problems with their phone system so after I was on hold (with music) for 10 minutes, and they came back on the line, they couldn't hear me (I could hear them) and so they hung up within 5 seconds of first trying to hear me.
On my fifth call trying to meet all their picky/arbitrary demands, they said I would have to be on hold for 10+ minutes again just to get a supervisor who would presumably put me on hold another 10 minutes (their fax requirement means it takes them quite a while to see my faxes, probably because they have to load paper on their daisy wheel epson printer to print out a fax). They gave me the option of calling me back instead of me waiting 10 minutes to get the supervisor, and I said fine. Then they said I would get a call back within 48 hours!

So I waited on hold. The supervisor came on and said the latest additional info they wanted couldn't be read. Almost surely because they are relying on ancient fax technology since it reads just fine in the image file that I faxed them (using eFax because who has an ancient fax machine at home anymore?)

So I just faxed again, enlarging the print. And will be on the phone again (6th phone call and counting)...

OK, I guess with this company the motto is "6th time's the charm"

Finally got the hold removed on my payment to them.

Now I have my balance available so I can rent a car to get to work since my car died. They didn't care about any of that when I told them, and they still insist on their 1970's level of customer service.

TERRIBLE COMPANY.

Get this card only if it is your last resort.

They are super friendly on the call when I call Customer Service, but they are so inefficient. 8 months my card has been approved, and I still have not received it. Every time I call, I get BS answers. Every time I ask them to identify how defunct their processes are to their Management, I get nothing but lame excuses.
