I ordered a 0.0216" thick sheet of copper, 78"x24". I got this to wrap a tabletop i'm making. I've done this before, but this is the largest table i've wrapped. OnlineMetals always sent me well packaged sheets this thin and never had a problem. Was wondering and a bit worried how a large piece would come through. It arrived today and i noticed it was pretty heavy. When i unwrapped it, i found out why -- the copper was attached via plastic film pallet wrap to a 3/4" thick piece of particle board MDF! Needless to say, the copper was perfect! Now i know why the shipping was so high, but worth it! And of course, i got my monthly discount, which helped ease the cost! I will continue to buy from OnlneMetals for all my metal needs!

We love the breadth and convenience of their locally-stocked ready-as-needed physical inventory.
Recently though there was a glitch in the online ordering system (as can happen occasionally with all suppliers), indicating erroneously that a short uncommon-spec piece of material we needed for a project was available in our local warehouse.
Within hours of placing the order, we received a personal e-mail informing us that the error was detected by their order-fulfillment team, and offering us free 2-day shipment from their next-nearest warehouse…
As our project was on a tight timeline, I e-mailed back explaining that we had really needed that *same-day* in this case — and that I'd need to buy it again from a second local source [and I assumed that was that!]…
With minutes I received a response from the same flesh-and-blood-human customer service member, with the surprising offer to send it out immediately -upgrading the shipping to *next day delivery*, if that would work for us, "given it was our error"!
That saved out project's timeline — and spared us from extra downtime & expense (or worse!)

The material was shown as in stock and was purchased with next-day air shipping. It was not in stock and took weeks to get a modified version of the material. Very poor communication on this one.
