I dabble in welding stainless and machining aluminum and found Online Metals years ago. Great prices on products and shipping. Never had an issue. Will be back soon...want to try Titanium next!

Excellent products. I would suggest adding a flat rate shipping option from USPS. A fraction of the price for 5 day shipping to the islands rather than 2-day air.
Thanks for the feedback Scott! I am glad you liked our products! We unfortunately do not ship with USPS, as we do not have a contract with them. If there is a shipping account you want material to ship on, we can do that, there is a $10 packing fee.
We keep receiving the wrong certs with our material. Fortunately the people who work there are very helpful and quick to respond to any issues that arise.

This is the second ProtoBox I have purchased. The first was brass and included many useful pieces for turning and milling. The second one was aluminum and consisted primarily of three large pieces of 4-inch diameter tube and one large piece of aluminum I-beam, along with a few smaller pieces of tube and channel. None were useful for turning, but I will be able to cut up the I-Beam to make a couple useful pieces of plate. I understand that the ProtoBoxes are assembled from whatever cutoffs are available, so what you get is based on the luck of the draw. Both were well packaged and arrived quickly.
