I am restoring a 50 year old boat that requires small quantities of metal to reinforce, replace, or strengthen parts of the boat. Online Metals offers wide range of metals that meet my requirements and does not require large purchase. Online Metals offers a wider variety of types, grades, shapes, and thicknesses than the big box stores and is reasonably priced. Online Metals is an excellent resource for DIYers and hobbyists.
There was an issue with an incorrect dimension on a custom cut. The customer service for this issue was good, the issue was solved and the correct dimension metal was delivered.

Frustrating! I buy from OM for the local pickup but with this order I was doomed to pay for shipping. I had no transparency to why or why the shipping costed so much but I didn't have much of a choice. You pieced out my order to various suppliers and I ended up paying $36 to ship a single $6 cut! That's ridiculous. I ultimately got my what I ordered and in a reasonably timely fashion but I'll save money by driving to Everett next time rather than paying shipping again.

Shipping was fast and timely. However, on two separate orders I specifically asked this company to NOT send copper bar stock that was bent in any way. In two separate orders, some of the copper was bent, making it very difficult to use when I needed truly straight stock. Additionally, shipping costs seemed pretty unreasonable.
