The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

I give this company ZERO stars. I purchased tickets to Elton John 2-1/2 months ago and just yesterday received an email that said my tickets were invalid. Even though I'm being refunded, that's beside the point. How on earth do you sell invalid tickets? Do not use this company to buy tickets to concerts.
You pay a lot of money for tickets and then they just send you what ever they "feel" like sending! After reading these reviews now I am worried I won't even be able to get into the concert with the "tickets" I purchased from them! I wish I would have read these reviews before I spent so much through this scam company!
THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM. THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO CHARGE $166.00 AND I WAS CHARGED $227.86. THEN THE TICKETS DID NOT WORK AT THE VENUE AND THE TICKET LADY SAID THIS COMPANY IS KNOWN FOR SELLING FAKE TICKETS. DO NOT USE THEM!
My son bought a play ticket showing $67.00 but while we received the ticket it showed $96.44, huge difference. The point is there is no breakdown of the service charge to be of your awareness before and it is no cancellation or refunding for the ticket. Definitely not recommended this website.
WONT REFUND MY MONEY FOR OZZY, AT HOLLYWOOD BOWL RESCHEDULED FOR 2099! PRETTY SURE HE WONT BE THERE! GIVE ME MY REFUND!
Ordered tickets and still don't have them. Customer service is meh with any answers. I know they can take a bit to get released but seems a bit shady.
Cannot download tickets that I purchased onto my phone. Would you mail them to me?

We attempted to buy two tickets to Hamilton in Rochester. We agreed to buy 2x$200 so what we thought would be $400 plus a reasonable handling fee. When we got the email confirmation, we found that they had added $124 for a handling fee! Exorbitant! Their online "chat" line was totally arrogant and unhelpful. This is a scam site. Our bank too was totally unhelpful. Stay away.
I will order tickets again for sure in the future because this experience was a great one. I will be sure to tell my friends about it...
I got online thinking I was at the concert vendor website, as their advertising under other names to try to grab business from the actual vendors I realized after purchased the tickets and as they added huge fees within 5 minutes I tried to get a refund and I hadn't even recieved the tickets yet and they refused, needless to say after 3 phone calls no such luck now I'm going to work with my credit card. These guys obviously have a bunch of fake reviews. Look at BBB on this company.
Fernanndo helped me find the best tickets in my price range, he was knowledgeable and answered all my questions.
Not sure how they have such high reviews but they probably created fake ones! This site is a scam! Be careful when buying tickets also because there's no cancellations, exchanges, or refunds! And they won't help you if you have any issues! Not worth risking! There are other legit sites out there!
We purchased a set of tickets for Disney on Ice from this site. We received a "confirmation" (see the attached picture). We went to the actual event. They had no record of our tickets. We produced the "confirmation". That didn't help at all. So we called OnlineCityTickets. They verified that the ticket order had been placed and that a "confirmation" had been sent. They claimed that they had tried to get phone verification several times by Email. Who has ever heard of phone verification of an online order paid for with a credit card?
I checked all of my Email folders (including the spam folder) looking for the Emails. The supposed Emails were never sent/received. A few notes.
The "confirmation" is just fake. Look at it closely. Nowhere does OnlineCityTickets even mention that phone verification is needed before the tickets are purchased / issued However, the deeper problem is that need for phone verification. My guess is that OnlineCityTickets has severe fraud problems and the vendors / credit card companies have imposed a verification requirement as a consequence. Just a guess of course. However, doing business with this company is dangerous, to say the least.
Take a look at the recent reviews. Something has gone wrong with this company.
I find it overwhelming that I should pay in US dollars for tickets of an event that will be held in my own Canadian town.
Main reason I tried calling directly the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa to purchase 4 tickets; I was transferred to a seller where I needed to buy my tickets in US dollars.
I am not to sure if am American citizen would have accepted such an arrangement. I am quite certain that we have in Canada a Canadian reseller!
Concert got postponed to a different date which i cant go to.
Refused to refund money. Bunch of crooks. Horrible service
About a month after we bought our tickets for Hamilton in Dallas, we received a call from Onlinecitytickets explaining that the seats we selected were in ADA seating. They asked if either of us required ADA accommodations and we said "no" so they said they had to move us. Once we arrived we found that they basically moved us from one ADA seat to another, meaning that one of our seats was an empty space for a wheelchair, so one of us had to sit in the row behind the other. We both love musical theatre and budget to see one show every year so this one night, every year is kind of a big deal for us and we couldn't even sit together. I will not be using Onlinecitytickets in the future.
I purchased Ozzy tickets for a 2019 concert. Unfortunately the concert was postponed not 1 month or a few months out but postponed until 2020. We will not be in the same state at that time! After being talked to like I was an idiot for 23 minutes about their refund policy, I was told by a "Senior" customer service rep and I fricken quote "the only way you will see your money in a refund is if OZZY dies so don't call again!" Absolutely unbelievable!
I purchased tickets to see Ozzy Osbourne in Bangor, Maine on June 15,2019. The concert was "rescheduled" for June 13,2020. Almost a year from the original date. They will not refund you because technically it wasn't cancelled. Who knows, you could be dead in a year, they dont care. They are smiling and laughing all the way to the bank. This is not an acceptable amount of time for a "reschedule" Dont give them your money!
Angel was very helpful and I was very pleased with how fast he worked. Thank you so much. I didn't spend crazy amount of time on hold and didn't have to listen to automatic systems.
It was such an easy purchase experience with an actual human being that seemed very conversational and not just looking to take my money and run. I felt genuinely appreciated as a customer and thoroughly helped until I was finished! Thank you!
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
