The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

My tickets show a lower price than what I paid. I assume it is because I went through a 3rd party. The process was really easy though, so that was nice.
This place took my money. I was trying to get tickets to a play for my children. It gave me an option for seats A-Z for a price. I was given seats Z. I later found out that the seats they gave me were half the price on a different site. When I emailed them asking for closer seats to A for what I paid or refund me at the price the seats should have been, they refused and told me to sell the tickets if I was unhappy. They charged me double for my tickets. Don't be scammed by them.
Update: Onlinecitytickets called me and gave me in store credit, for the amount I felt they took, to use in the next 6 months. I will still have to buy from them again but I will be more careful and I am not at a complete loss of money.
They were very fast to respond to my complaint after telling them about my reviews. I hope this helps others in the future.
Process was fast and easy but $300 tickets became $399 tickets for an online electronic ticket sale. $99 is 25% the ticket cost for admin fees. That was the only disappointing factor in my purchase.
My wife bought me tickets to a Bob Seger concert for my birthday. Concert was cancelled and as of two months later, nothing rescheduled. Contacted them for a refund- it WAS a birthday present and that's now long past... They will not refund my money at this point. $400, Completely Ridiculous.
Searched high and low for tickets to a show for my parents Christmas present. Was willing to pay approximately $150 each. I found them here and they werent horrible seats so I purchased. After fees and taxes the total was nearly $400. Was able to immediately print the tickets and to my horror, printed on the tickets was their face value of $55.00! Beyond pissed for being ripped off and I had to print the receipt so my parents didnt think I got them a cheap and crummy gift. Ridiculous that theaters cant sale their own tickets. People might be more willing and excited to go to shows if we werent being charged an arm and a leg for mediocre seats.
It said WE, meaning they received my order, I'm not sure if I hit the right link at the right time. I HAVE NOT recieved anything. Only confirmation of purchase...
Loved that you offer insurance. I've missed events recently for being sick and lost the money for the tickets
The overall experience buying my tickets for the WWE LIVE Holiday Tour was an excellent experience. I'll definitely be using this online process for future events... keep up the good work!
Paid a lot of money to get two seats not next two each other. No warning that this was a possibility. Never would have bought.
Tickets were easy to order, I would have liked to choose the row due to taking a child, just hoping they are low enough in the section that he can see it and enjoy it!
I accidentally bought balcony seats and immediately tried to change them to better seats. This organization refused to exchange or cancel my purchase. I am extremely disappointed by this and will inform everyone of the terrible service I received. Zero help. Joey Bortnick
The process of purchasing the tickets was very easy. The tickets came straight to my email address and was very easy to print off. So far everything was very easy and straightforward.
The inability to look at the actual seats (just the area) is frustrating and the added costs - especially the "email delivery" charge (I mean, seriously?!?!?) are exorbitant.
If I could give this 0 stars and still write a review, I would! I cannot believe what a ripoff this was! Bought tickets for a show in Canada, and with the way the prices were displayed assumed I was paying in Canadian dollars. Until I saw the FX charge on my credit card statement I didn't realize that the prices were in US. Technically, yes there is a disclaimer stating that all purchases are in USD, BUT it's a single line of text that appears AFTER the terms and conditions so that your chances of reading it are minimal - sneaky and misleading!
My two $85 tickets ended up costing $235! And $7.50 to download the tickets? Really? Ridiculous!
Always buy from stub hub. Thanks for 20.00 discount it's a positive perk. I am a comparing shopper, thanks again!
The tickets were very easy to purchase but the service charges were a little high for my taste. I was only given the option to immediately print my tickets and then I was charged $20 per ticket for service fees for that option. Then a $7.50 fee for home printing.
When I originally signed on to buy tickets, it was listed under Wells Fargo or Ticketmaster. Once I Placed the order I realized it was a re-sell ticket service. When I received the tix that I paid a total of $200 and change for, I realized the actual tickets were $40.00 a piece, then the upcharge, then a $25 per ticket fee. Never again. I guess I need to pay more attention when I hit "purchase tickets."
I just bought three tickets as a gift. The price of $196 per ticket was already outrageous, then, come to find out, they charge $60 more per ticket! But, wait, thats not greedy enough: they then charge $6.95 to send you a text message! Rip off right and left. I called and complained. I plan to do that once a day for the next ten days. Maybe theyll get the message since all calls are recorded. I suggest all you unhappy customers do the same.
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
