Fantastic service thanks so much! But quite expensive!
After paying the £19.99 for the sim unlock you then required a further £34.20 (or what ever it was) which i didn't know anything about so I didnt pay THANKS FOR NOTHING.
I had little to no idea how to proceed once I moved to England. I found SIM Unlock online and trusted the site and its team to help me. It was quick and easy... thank you very much!
Excellent from start to finish.
Thank you. Highly recommended.
I am in Canada and they charged me $26 to get the unlock code for Samsung S7 and after waiting for two days they send me another email to pay another $70 to get the code
Official SIM Unlock will steal your money
I just unlocked the same phone for only $19.87 with Cellunlocker.net see the difference... unbelievable
More expensive than I expected and misleading website.
Initially I was skeptical about using this service after reading the reviews I thought let's just give it a try to be honest it was worth it it was very straight forward and easy to use. The only issue is the second charge you have to make when you make the initial payment which was not clear initially but depending on whether you choose to proceed entirely depends upon the individual.
Yeah was very easy to use just wait for phone to be unlocked now
Yeah was very easy to use just wait for phone to be unlocked now
IT'S A SCAM
They know hardly anyone reads T&C's and they use that to their advantage.
Be sure to read the terms and conditions before you proceed.
When you make payment you'll think you're doing so for your phone to be unlocked.
However this is just for them to tell you that it can be unlocked (which you don't need to pay someone to find out). They'll then ask for a second (considerably higher payment) to then actually unlock the phone.
When you decide you no longer want to do that, they won't refund you your first payment. So you've basically paid for nothing.
Scam operating with the technicalities of the law.
This is a con the Samsung S8 that I paid for did not need unlocking in the FIRST place. I have paid for nothing. Total rip off.
This is a scam company. They say they will unlock your phone for £19 + VAT - £23.
You book their service and then sometime later they say they have completed the checks and now require an additional fee (£28.00 + VAT in my case)
Before they will give you your code. They then state that your original payment was a pre-order!
I felt a bit stupid as I didn't do any checks before I tried to unlock one of my old phones.
I refused to send them any more money
It was a Samsung S8 - locked to Vodafone.
All of the major Mobile companies will unlock your phone for free providing it has not been reported stolen or currently in a contract with them.
I went to https://www.vodafone.co.uk/vodafone-uk/forms/unlock-code-request and put the details of my phone in and it was unlocked with 30 mins - completely free of charge!
There are also many suspect reviews on many review sites for www.officialsimunlock.com. Although they have taken £23 from me, I intend to report them to the Ombudsman. They should net be able to get away with this.
DON'T USE THEM, IT IS A SCAM
Seems an easy simple process, would help if it was made clear at the outset there are 2 fees to pay.
Did not unlock my phone and refused to refund - despite a 100% refund guarantee on their website. They also charge twice - once for initial "assessment" and then the unlock. They refused to refund the assessment when the unlock was unrealistically expensive.
How are they allowed to run.
You pay up front and then they ask for more money to unlock. Shame on you $#*!s
Great service now I can use any network sim in your he phone
I had already paid $23 when I was hit with another $60 charge citing telco unlocking fees.
The unlock took much longer than I expected, over a week, and in the end Apple provided the unlock so I'm not sure how the telco factored into this.
Bottom line: it may be more expensive and take longer than you are initially led to believe

Answer: 100 percent a scam; morally, legally, colloquially speaking.
Answer: No I would advise you to go somewhere else. This company is a total ripoff.
Answer: You didn't realize it because officialsimunlock.com didnt want you to realize it, at least until after they reeled you in with a first "prepayment".
