I regularly order from Office Depot/Office Max with the use of the periodic coupon savings they offer. For the most part, I have been highly satisfied. If a mistake is made, they are very good at resolving the issue. Delivery is outstanding.
I prefer staples since they tend to care more stock and happen to have better promotions weekly. Back to school events are great :)

Know that when you place an online order and use your rewards but then cancel the
Order that the company tells you that the rewards we be available in 24 hours of the cancellation, but really wait about a month before allowing you to use the rewards again. They refuse to help or honor what they tell you.
Also, if you use a gift card for an online order and then cancel the order, they will not refund your money unless you call them (2 weeks later by the way) and spend 2 hours on the phone asking for your money back. I am not sure if they are totally incompetent or just very unethical. Buyer beware.
I guess I must be a glutton for punishment. This the 3rd online order from Office Depot in a few short months and each time has been a night mare! 1- A clock, who can get that wrong? Office Depot can! 3 TIMES! 2-Then my ink cartridges, which I needed asap to finish a job, ordered and was given info that they would deliver from the local store (2 miles away!) the next day. NOPE, NADA, NOTHING! Lost my order and said they would put a "rush" on it... ugh... I already did that! Thanks for screwing up my deadline!. 3 - This is really good one... I ordered an office chair, not a "huge" one, just a Task Chair... ordered on the 22nd, they said it should be there on the 25th. Okay. The 25th, no chair, 26th no chair, 27th check online and cannot get any info. I call CS (idiots) she says it delivered. REALLY? Where did you put it? Cause it ain't at my house! Oh, she's "Sorry"... No she's not, they don't pay her enough to be Sorry! So now she says she will expedite a rush request to upper management to track my chair (not a HUGE chair) with the carrier... never mentioned who the carrier was. In awhile I get an email saying the "carrier" had attempted to call to make a delivery but got no answer from me. BullS! My phone is an appendage to my body! So they gave me the tracking number for the so called DELIVERED chair (again, not a HUGE chair). Low and behold the carrier is Southeastern Freight Lines and they want to know if a 53' tractor trailer rig will be able to make it into my neighborhood to deliver my Task Chair! OMG! Sure! Come on! Make sure you bring the tow truck to haul it down the driveway. Maybe Office Depot misunderstood what the 300lb weight limit meant on the description of my chair. SMH...
I ordered quite a few items and upon delivery some of my items were not in there. I called customer service and they said my missing items would be shipped to me asap when I checked my bank account I saw they charged me again for items I already paid for and after several days they still have not returned my money, all I am getting from customers service is the runaround. I will never order from them again.
I have been wandering whether to share this story or not but after four days I still have this incident in the back of my mind.
On Saturday I went to OfficeMax in Aurora Village, Shoreline WA to get an eight copy job done for DVD cases. The person at the printing station told me he was about to clock out (about 4 pm) but I could go any time after noon on Sunday to pick it up.
On Sunday I went at 5:35 pm and the clerk looked at me blank as if he had not understood me. After a few seconds he told me the job was not done nor would it be any time soon as they were working with a two week delay. When I explained what had been promised to me the day before, he said I was lying. I then asked him if he could sell me the paper I needed (as per a sample I left there from a previous print job I got done there). He yelled at me and told me to go look for it in the back. I asked him what type of paper it was and he raised his voice again saying he didn't know because they had never had that paper in the store.
I was so rattled I went to the car and got in but decided to go back in and ask for the manager. Another clerk at the check out desks said there was no manager there but I could talk to him. He backed up the first clerk stating they were delayed and did not sell that paper there.
I then came back home and put in a claim via email to their headquarters in Florida. I received a reply on Monday telling me they had forwarded my email to the Aurora Village store and they would be contacting me 24-48 hours after. Today, 72 hours later I have still not heard back and therefore understand my business is not important to them.
I hope whoever reads this and does business with these people has a better experience than I did and never experiences anything like I did this past weekend.
The better news is that I have found a new business for printing (curiously, owned by OfficeMax printing ex-employees) who said they had other clients that had also found them after disappointing experiences with OfficeMax! I would be more than happy to share their info if anyone is interested.
My Review of store is very poor - will not be back there
I purchased a paper pro stapler several months ago at Office Depot in Memphis on polo grounds address. After never being able to find appropriate staples for this stapler I called store and informed managers C and store manager R about my issue. C told me to bring merchandise back and settle for current last price without a receipt. Upon doing as manager directed Store manager said there was nothing wrong with stapler and it uses standard staples. That was not the info I received earlier that morning on 6/8/17 when I spoke to C. She( R) said it couldn't be return or exchange because it could use standard staples same as the swingline stapler. After getting frustrated with rude management and liars I left the stapler with C and told both managers exactly what they could do with that stapler and thinking that all people want something for free. I paid cash for that stapler and work honestly for what I need and desire. Office Depot could care less about my concerns.
I have made my new favorite office supply place, Office Depot, as they took care of a "crisis" need for me. My purchases had been going to Office Max for years and when I needed them the most, they did not have time for me.
Office Depot has been a pleasure to order from. My orders have been filled, shipped and received in a timely manner. All orders have been just as advertised and all orders have been correct. I have nothing negative to say at all
I can't stand for very long, and needed a chair to sit in while I was completing my coping and faxing. The older man that was at this station just looked at me when I ask for help! Finally, someone rolled an office chair that had wheels on it! No to smart, with the slick floors! I finished what I was doing, and rolled up the register where the older man was. We began the process offor checking out. I needed to sir down and the chair flew backwards and me down in the floor on my back! The older man, just stared at me, did say a word or even try to come help me up? A customer come behind me and gave me his hand to get me off the floor! I was in pain in my back and hip! I asked this older man to call his supervisor up, he just stared at me! I found the manager and ask him to go out to my van so I could sit down! I told him what happened, he got the forms to write the incident up! Apologize for his employe lack of concern! He gave a number to contact their home office, months later I had really bad pains in my legs and hip. Ended up with a settlement. They need seating for handicapped people and better caring employees! To my knowledge, that older man still works there!
I happen to live in a household that has only one working car, at the moment. Therefore, I am not able to make it to the actual store to make my purchases. Now all I have to do is go online and place my order and if I would like it right away, I choose the pick up in store option. Within less than an hour, all my products are ready to pick up. I just let my husband know to make a stop on the way home and pick it up for me. Works everytime and I don't have my husband "forgetting" anything! LOVE SHOPPING HERE!

I had an experience where the item I ordered arrived with a part missing. I was expecting a huge hasslie but customer service was great and had me sorted in no time. Really appreciate that.
They have a lot of stuff to look at and get, but I think that their prices are kind of high. They have great products and services.
