The overall reputation of OfferUp is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor customer service and account management issues. Users frequently report abrupt account deactivations without clear explanations, along with challenges in resolving disputes and obtaining refunds. Additionally, many customers express frustration with the app's glitches and the prevalence of fraudulent listings. While some users have had positive experiences with transactions, these are overshadowed by the negative sentiments surrounding the platform's reliability and support. The need for improved communication and user-friendly processes is evident to enhance overall customer experience.

I Was banned due to "unacceptable risk" whatever that means, I have already shipped several orders and never got paid for them
Do not use this company for buying or selling. They are terrible.
I cannot login and never got my $550.00 owed
This site is absolutely the worst selling site I have ever used. I buy almost everything online for various companies. This site cost me $120. I sent back a defective product to the seller and not only did I not get my money back I was just simply blocked by the seller. I spent a lot of time sending emails to customer support they have no phone number to call and if you try and use their community advice it does not function because they don't want people talking to each other so they just tell you it's under construction. Not only was I out the money I spent for the product but I was out the $20 that I spent shipping it back to her. Truly the worst site or buying but probably good for selling as you'll never have to worry about refunding anybody's money.
Offerup states the shipping is $13.99 and the seller stated shipping would be too high for a Bissell carpet cleaner I tried to purchase. I told the seller what shipping states on offerup and I have heard nothing back from the seller.
Way too difficult to deal with. Need an android or what ever phone texting, apps. Follow the crazy path to facebook. Do this do that. Too many steps just to list an item? Craigs list is easy 123. Even ebay. They wont return a call you cant leave a message. How rude. They can hide behind the computer screen detached customer service. Whos got time to deal with going back and forth to get signed up? Its a bunch of baloney. Another ridiculous company. If your a robot and want to deal with texting and cell phones all day long. Not a normal life. Some goof ball came up with this website just to list an item? Wont ever use them.
I tried to buy a video game console but it wouldn't let me. Customer service is rude af and said I'm an "unacceptable risk" for no apparent reason.
I am ashamed to say I have been scammed more than once on offer up. Each time I contacted OfferUp to no avail. Most of the time they do not even bother with a reply. I am currently attempting to change my email address to no avail of course. I do exactly as it states and it does not work. I cannot find anywhere a phone number to contact someone at offer up nor can I find an email address or contact info of any kind that actually works and gets to a human being. Customer service is so important in this day and age and offer up just does not cut it in anyway shape or form. Offer up does not care about its users at all.
A scam of a company. They charged my card 20 bucks for promoting my product. I got very few views and cancled withing 2 days. I was still charged. They have no live representation or a human I can talk to. DO NOT USE!
Fist they sell your information. Now they it looks like they have been compromised and your data is on the dark web.
Of course they will wait 3 months before any official announcements. Stay away and do not give them any of your information
There is no real way to connect with someone when you need help, just a list of FAQ's. No phone number at all. When using the shipping feature beware. OfferUp has changed the service fees several times since I originally listed an item. I sold a video game 8 months ago for $5, paid 10% listing fee. No problem, I knew there would be fees. During this same time I had listed another video game which recently sold and paid a service fee of $1.99! Sold something for $5, got $3.01. I thought it to be a mistake, so I had to trick the contact section about a refund (seeing I was trying to get a refund for some of the service fee). Brandon was my contact there, and he was not very understanding of my situation at all. Refused to refund me anything, pointed out TOS I had agreed to and that OfferUp can change service fees whenever they want without notifying anyone - although that's not exactly what it says in righting. It says in Section 3B regarding Seller Fees "OfferUp reserves the right to change the Service Fees from time to time." We're talking a buck fifty, and they won't budge. Very disappointed in their lack of customer service and support surrounding these issues. Seller beware of service fee changes. Ebay has the decency to keep you informed, OfferUp does not care. I asked for Brandon's supervisor name and contact info, but because I had mentioned legal action they refused to email/communicate anymore. So ridiculous.
For my experience as a seller, the worst site for me. The people message me and make offers and then turn around and tell me they are not interested. Frustrating for me.
Offer up was created specifically for people to sell off their no longer needed items (the TOS warns against selling new product). I used to be able to buy old furniture for a few bucks, now people are selling their garbage for an arm and a leg. Pass on this one. I've had better luck on letgo.
Tatyona in Lewisville TX had a washer dryer combo for sale. I agreed to the price and asked when I could pick it up and if it were boxed. Answer was " no tomorrow no". A few days later I asked again, no reply. 15 days after the agreement I sent another note. Day 16 she replied with "sold". Obviously there are unscrupulous people selling things with multiple ads and picking highest bidder, which in eBay you'd understand. Offerup has a price or a make an offer. This case was a specific price. Tried one more time. Seller had what I wanted, I sent a question of "still available? Serial number?" Still waiting on a reply. This whole thing seems shady and of the only 2 people I've dealt with I'm horribly disappointed. And you can't review the seller unless the deal goes through! So I got screwed and can't let anyone know on their app. Don't use this crooked stupid thing! Sent two emails to offerup, chain mail reply saying if police were involved to let them know. No repercussions for unscrupulous sellers at all
I purchased a SEGA Dreamcast and the seller marked it shipped right away. The next 5 days the status is still the same, label has been created. I messaged the guy and not replies. The seller has a Instagram so I dm him there, he says I'm sorry I've been busy at my store I'll ship it Monday. He even said he'd throw in a few games for free. The same night I get a email seller has canceled my order. That same system I was going to purchase is now back up for sale smdh. Do yourself a favor and buy your stuff of eBay, amazon or one of them many local retailers.
I ordered my first item, a laptop, on offerup and the seller almost immediately marked it as shipped and added the tracking number. A day later, I check the tracking and it says pre-shipment, label created, usps waiting on package. So I check it again 5 days later. It still says the same thing, nothing has changed. I message the seller and I still haven't got a response back. So I look at where the package was sent from and call every post office in that city. None of them have received a package with my name on it. So I guessing this is some kind of new scam? All I know is I better get my money back because I'm poor af and I had to sell my phone to get the money for that laptop. I just really always wanted a laptop so I can do digital art and animation but it looks like my dreams are crushed.
Whoever runs this garbage site doesnt know how... Theres to many con artist on here and you got a shipping option are you a newb. You need a cust service # dummy... this site sux $#*! and because of your mental abilities and lack of... enjoy your craigslist genious you will fail
Get ready to stand in line at the post office because if your purchase arrives broken you have to ship it back. That's their policy. You received a broken item and then further punished by having to repackage the item. Pictures are not good enough. Delete the app and RUN!
My motorcycle was only half paid for and missing. Offer up won't respond to request of helping sherriffs detectives
Beware of this app!
Seller accepted my offer. Held my money for 5 days then just canceled without any reason after ignoring my when r u going to ship. Msgs. And I can't even leave a feedback for the seller. What a waste of time. I could've bought from somewhere else. Never using this stupid site again.
Do not use this site RIP OFF, I sold a very nice Coach purse and now they won't pay. I mailed customer receiver the hand bag and now I don't get paid because of offer up. The said I had to use there shipping label although I mailed on my own which was way cheaper then their label now they won't pay me. Never Nver use this site RIP OFF
Answer: No limit to how many items you can post. To delete the post. Just click on offers. Them there will be a mark as sold button, edit button, then next to that is a button with 3 dots. Click that. Then click archive. Done. No affiliation
