The overall reputation of OfferUp is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor customer service and account management issues. Users frequently report abrupt account deactivations without clear explanations, along with challenges in resolving disputes and obtaining refunds. Additionally, many customers express frustration with the app's glitches and the prevalence of fraudulent listings. While some users have had positive experiences with transactions, these are overshadowed by the negative sentiments surrounding the platform's reliability and support. The need for improved communication and user-friendly processes is evident to enhance overall customer experience.

Offer up support is no help whatsoever try and try to get ahold of them and it's always a useless reply. If you send an item a day or two late and the post office does not update shipping right away you basically get scammed buyer gets the money back and the item and offer up can't do anything other then have you figure it out on your own with seller.
I used OfferUp to sell something.
I never got paid because my account was still setup to have the money deposited into an account I haven't had for years. I called my bank, and they said that the deposit didn't show up on their end and would have been rejected, since the account didn't exist.
I let OfferUp know, and they said that they can't help at all.
I've never dealt with a more non-empathetic support, staff. It's like they don't even care to help customers.
Confirmed users don't ship product on time and don't respond to messages. Every day there are new scammers to the point where they run the site.
Logging on to account is next to impossible. I had to create a new password every time. Then, this morning I tried to log on and they had deleted my account for some "violation". I emailed to ask what violation: attempting to log on? Selling a table? In just received some rote answer. Absolutely useless site.
Homestylon is a company that takes the money and doesn't send you anything and is ussing offerup to do their duty business. I ordered an item twice from them and I lost my money. PayPal doesn't help either.
This site Is really a waste of time. Most of the car ads are fake, such as selling Marley used vehicles for $1000. I believe the site once you to click on those items, which then directs mini car sale items to your search. My feeling is they probably do this for secondary gain alone. I've complain to them on more than one occasion by pointing out an ad appears to be fake, and the ads stay up and no comment is ever made. Don't waste your time too. I would have given it zero stars but I'm not sure the site would take 80 versus leaving the space empty. The one star I selected is an over estimate.
The worst customer service I have ever come across in my life they block you for no reason when you try to get a hold of them they don't exist and now they're charging to put a cars for sale they're greedy bunch of pigs and it deleted in my phone
I tried to work things out with buyer but I felt so unsafe I had to block him and report him.we where both banned in the end, so it appears to be.it looks like OfferUp banned his account which was unexpected, I thought they where just going to take one side I don't want to make this to long but I gave him the wrong cards he wanted American cards and I accidentally gave him Japanese cards. I told him I'll figure something out because I spent his money already then he blown up. After getting threats in a place like Chicago I just couldn't take it anymore. Offerup told me not to contact him again and file a police report. Chicago is a dangerous place!
I sold Trump items, obviously the techies are democrats and didn't like any one making money or painting Trump in a positive way! They closed out my account 5 times because of it.
My husband made a car post and the page charged him $ 9.99 but that money disappeared and there was no post, he tried again thinking and they stole another $ 9.99. Without knowing about it, I made the publication on my own on another phone and Oh surprise they also stole $ 9.99 from me. Before I sold a lot around here but now apart from scam ghost buyers / sellers, the page is also scam. Customer service does not exist, we try to send the complaint many times but it is not possible.
At one time OfferUp was nice. It was just neighbors buying and selling used items they didn't need anything more. Now it's full of retailers like Amazon and Wayfair bombarding the app with new and expensive items flooding out the person that just wants to sell their item at a low price. My solution... I just donated my nice couch to The Salvation Army instead of dealing with the BS on Offer Up.
Listed an item, get nothing but broke losers wanting me to take off more than 75% because they can't afford asking. Eventually lower the price and get a buyer but the losers that couldn't afford it are now whining that they wanted it now. Uh, first come, first served. Never using it again.
OfferUp deleting my post on purpose so I can pay again. It was a app a lot of people used to depend on now screwed everybody.
When you get messages from someone wanting to buy you're posted item, the message disappears after few minutes. There is literally no contact support because when you try to use their link to contact them, you get an error and it won't go through. Also, they take it upon themselves to decide whether you give out your phone number or not and that should be your decision and your decision only. This is the worst app to use if you're trying to sell something
I posted a listing. Got a quick response seeking to buy it. I sent a reply seeking to make the exchange. Shows not being delivered. When I emailed to complain about this the response was that they thought that I had a disputed transaction and thus was not being treated as an active listing. No prior indication about this or response when I placed my listing. When I questioned this poor treatment they ignored me. Just a bunch of jerks.
No serious buyers, full of scammers. Most ask for your phone# to steal it for google voice or something. Offerup's canned responses shows they really don't care about anything besides making money and scamming us too.
The Customer Service Staff is so under eduated on the actual support that needs to be handled. They don't have a clue as to whats going on. The site sucks even more the error and complaints are common such as lack of access to the site do to script error in processing authentication. Its been 6 months and I personally haven't been able to access the site with my account and they keep saying that they are working on it. Wait 6 months and not having a clue as to how to fix a authentication error. They need to hire new programmers because the ones they have are dumb if they can't fix that issue at the most in a few days, but month and knowing this that they closed my case(s) each time that I have requested and have never been fixed, but the case closed. They can;'t even get that right. They aren't a scalable company they are a flawed company. It's useless trying to discuss it with them via email because the moron on the other side answers the same 1) We have no problems on our side 2) We see the problem and are working on it 3) We are aware of the issue and are working on it. Come on different answers for the same contacted problem and closing the case multiple times. Yes multiple time as each time I contact them after a few days and trying to ask for updates the automated system will send you a standard message saying the case is closed and you need to submit a new support ticket request.
No wonder why people are dissatisfied with their support its because they have none. If your are screwed over by a seller they can care less, its not their problem. Stay away from these imbeciles.
Offer up is a great place to locally sell your items. Online shoppers looking for the cheapest price on new or used items can usually find it here.
Absolutely no policing of scam listings. Unable to leave feedback unless a transaction is completed. Meaning, I could message someone, make a deal, and drive 30 minutes to meet them. Wait 20 minutes for them to show. Then, they can message me to just forget the deal. It's off, and I CANNOT LEAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK FOR THIS. So, the next guy gets screwed as well because I can't leave negative feedback in this scenario. The report an issue is worthless because nothing is ever followed up on by Offer Up. Listings are years old and absolutely worthless because the item was either sold elsewhere, the seller is a flake and totally forgot that they even listed it, or it's stupidly high priced which is why it will never sell and it's just taking up space on the site and I have to see the listing always even though it's a wasted listing. Scam ads run rampant and try to scam everyone. LetGo was much better! Force listings to renew listings at 30 days like LetGo did. Get rid of scam listings selling $******* items for 400 bucks. Allow feedback and penalize the scum that get blocked by 5 or more people regardless of their star rating. Clearly they are scum if 5+ people block them after messaging alone! Total crap.
Answer: No limit to how many items you can post. To delete the post. Just click on offers. Them there will be a mark as sold button, edit button, then next to that is a button with 3 dots. Click that. Then click archive. Done. No affiliation
