No complaint with regard the furniture however, I would strongly advise not to bye the 5yr insurance provided by Staingard that is total inadequate. Its a shame that Oak furnitureland associates itself with this under performing company staining its own reputation.

Poor quality product
June 3, 2023

Ordered a blanket box that was very poor quality. Very thin walls and top, likely just 3mm thick. I was suspicious of the quality when it arrived as it was so light - not what you expect for Oak furniture.

I expect to be able to occasionally sit on a blanket box and that the sides can take the occasional knock. But, the product had such very thin panelling, it would have split or cracked within days of use.
I spoke to customer support, they dismissed my complaint and told me I should have checked the dimensions on their website. I told them I did and it doesn't say the sides are only 3mm thick. Then they said I should have called them to ask if the product could take the occasional knock and could be sat on. They then charged me £50 for the return.

Disappointed
May 29, 2023

We have bought some furniture from Oakland with no problem at all. The same can't be said for the sofas. We paid over £3000 for our sofas, we last had a leather sofa not from Oakland and never had any problems we just thought we would have new in our new home, and the old one was nine years old. In last than a year one of the seats had sunk, and the leather were your head is the leather had changed colour and look awful. It took us two calls with a few weeks apart and heard nothing. When someone came he just rubbed the leather with something and said it was just wear and the leather changing colour was the prouducts we used.So we will never be going to Oakland again, absolutely waist of time spending £300 on insurance my advice would be don't buy a leather sofa for Oakland

Firstly contacting the insurance when a fault occurs is near impossible giving me the only option of calling sales, who suggest an email because they were receiving a high volume of calls, which for me rang alarm bells.
I purchase a kingsize mattress and wooden oak frame but after six months the material on the topper has stretched making the bed very uncomfortable.
Finally a man came to assess the problem and out right told me that his manger always classed this kind of problem as wear and tear. I couldn't believe what I had just heard. This is still an open case but in the meantime I have an awful night sleep. I will update this site with the final outcome, however I've found since then, wear and tear is a common word for them.
I gave one star purely because you can't by pass.
The receipt is in my husband's files but I will add when I update my review.
This is the update on the findings of my faulty not fit for purpose mattress. I have to sit propped up in bed and they have grabbed the opportunity to say this has caused the problem. They have stated in the report that he's put the topper back to shape which is a miracle when he only used his hands to see if the lump went and he left knowing it hadn't. The man from home serve told me that his manger always puts this down to wear and tear which rather upset me but since has denied the comment. He also made references to me been not pleasant so he had to leave. I was upset but he was already walking out of the door. There is many untruths in the report which I will happily challenge.
I have contacted my home insurance who informed me of my rights. I have now sent an email rejecting the decision also informing them of my view to take this issue further. I received a telephone call today 16/05/23 requesting I bring in my own choice of inspection but there is no guarantee another independent findings will be accepted.I have added more photographs to sure how the bed is sinking and the fact it has not been repaired.
Please be warned when purchasing the extra warranty, it's sold like gold but doesn't stand for nothing. What a shark of a company.

I cannot tell you how bad Oak Furnitureland are. A complete disaster of a company - their only skill seems to be turning a disaster into a catastrophe.

Order confirmed for 7pm to 10pm. Not a great slot but once we received the text confirmation we had our old furniture removed in the morning. 10pm comes and goes - no delivery, no call, no email... nothing.

8.30 the next morning - a call with an apology that the driver ran out of hours and sorry we didn't get called. Now, at this point, any reasonable person would expect them to say the delivery is first for the next day... nope Oak Furnitureland say the next available slot is over a week away... wait, what! Our furniture is literally loaded onto one of your vans now... and we have thrown away our old furniture.

As part of trying to fix this problem, they then tell us the new date a week later is overbooked and the next new date is 2 weeks away... who is running this company...

A complete joke - please think twice before giving your hard earned money to these people.

May 4, 2023

Oak furniture land should have delivered my sofa on the 9th of May 2023 the 2 wooden tables came but no sofa they had said that it was not put down for delivery. I have it on finance but when I went into shop the assistant do say if I pay cash I well have it with in 2 weeks but as I was decorating I fought now this will be fine to wait three months now I've got to wait another three months for the 9th of August 2023.and then I have to listen to a lot of rubbish about it's being made abroad.my family did tell me not to go with oak furniture land i really wished I had listened so please do phone at list 3 to 4 days to make sure all your items are all being delivered at the same time don't put your trust in the email that they send you saying your delivery day and you are in a slot for that just make sure all is coming. So very let down with oak furniture land

So we ordered two sofas and dinner table and chairs. We had our text to say it was going to be delivered Friday 28th between 1.30pm and 4.30pm. At 4.34pm we get a text, due to unforeseeable circumstances your order will not be delivered.
So we are now without any where to sit and eat. We do eventually get a phone call 15 minutes after the text with a shabby apology and being told we can't arrange a delivery until the 10th May.
We are expected to sit and eat on the floor. They will not help in any way.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Shocking company. Had a problem with our sofa and even though we took out the extra insurance the insurance will not fix the issue. Will not be giving this company another penny and wouldn't advise anyone else to. You just get passed between the insurance and oak furniture land because no one wants to take responsibility and even though the insurance is "nothing to do with oak furniture land" you always seem to make it back to their automated phone line. About time this company was outed for the lack of customer service and the quality of their products

Worst Experience
April 18, 2023

Worst Experience - I ordered a 3 seater recliner sofa and they sent me a faulty one. They were quick enough to send me an incompatible replacement sofa (2 right side sofas) with missing parts like legs and screws. I gave up and asked for a different colour one the wait time was 4 months +, when the delivery date arrived they created a Drama that they couldn't locate me and rescheduled my delivery to the following week, then they further delayed by a athoner week as they package did not arrive to the depot. Not sure how can this happen when then missed a delivery 2 weeks before.
The Dining table chairs that i received turned out to be faulty in 4 months of usage. We can already feel the wooden edges. Total waste of money

I am absolutely disgusted with Oak Furnitureland. We ordered a module corner sofa on 16.10.22. We paid for premium delivery for -24.2.2318 weeks we have waited. On Tuesday 22nd February they confirmed our 3 hour delivery slot for Friday. On Wednesday evening I was emailed and told parts were not available.
They told us only 4 out of 5 parts of the sofa and I will have to wait another 15 weeks for the order and they have cancelled my delivery.
How have they only just discovered there is a piece missing the day before delivery?
They had our money for 20 weeks. We were offered no interest on the money and only offered a discount if we reordered and waited a total of 33 weeks for delivery which was not guaranteed.
They are a law unto themselves and can do what ever they want. They are not part of any ombudsman group so complaints are pointless. Avoid at all costs.

An absolute shambles of a company. They don't even deserve 1 star. They messed me about with delivery dates more than 6 times. The van even turned up at my door and then realised they didn't have my delivery.

Their customer service is the only saving grace, at the end of the day it's not their fault. However, with the amount of hassle due to the companies incompetence I expected a decent goodwill gesture to which they claim they already offered as much as they could.

Never had so much trouble with one company. I will be more relieved I never have to deal with such lack of proficiency from Oak Furniture than actually receiving my delivery at this point.

Stay away
February 23, 2023

Substandard furniture sent which required repairs, then sent me a completely wrong item which I had to hold onto for a week till they could arrange a collection. Response from customer relations was 'were only human, mistakes happen' and we'll give you £40 for your trouble.

Wrong colour sofas
February 16, 2023

Ordered a three and two seater settee in Teal in September. Delivered in November. They delivered them in Granite. Customer services said to use them until replacements arrived in February (this Monday). They arrived when they said they would, problem was one was teal and the other was another granite one. Now second teal one is arranged for mid April. Customer service help in November was very good, apologetic and helpful. CS this week was dismissive and not at all bothered. Keeping fingers crossed that the right colour arrives April. Seven months from order to correct delivery (I hope) is excessive and pretty poor. Have to say that both pairs of delivery men were professional and helpful, also embarrassed as they frequently had to deal with the same problem

Ordered items last year with delivery for 20th January. Had a slot booked, never arrived. Had to chase them up. Told they are 20-30 minutes away. Never arrived. Now told they can't deliver until 6th February. How does it go from 20 minutes away to 16 days away? Totally un proactive. Unless you can walk out of the shop with it then don't do it!

Awful Delivery
January 13, 2023

The delivery drivers arrived and as they carried the desk closer to my door they put the box down and one of them continued to tip it over and over through my door into the hall way. As they were doing this I asked if they could be more careful and actually pick it up and his response was 'don't worry love it's well packaged' which wasn't the point. I then asked them to be careful when taking the products upstairs as we had recently decorated, had new carpets and a new banister fitted. There response was 'banisters are there to protect the wall' I told him that they were new and I needed them to be careful but he just repeated what he had first said. As they got three quarters of the way up the stairs they gave up and said it wasn't going to go around the corner and one of the delivery drivers told his colleague to get out of the way as he was going to let it go by sliding it down the stairs. I stopped him immediately from doing this and they did work together to get it back down but only on my request. I asked him whether I could remove the desk from the box for them to try again but they refused so I'm now stuck with a big heavy desk downstairs and have to seek help to get it upstairs.

I then noticed that there was two black marks on the carpet and showed them to the delivery drivers and their response was 'nothing to do with us love our shoes are clean' I explained that the marks were not there before and if your shoes are clean then it's likely to have come from the box that they dragged up the drive!

They then brought in the chair and the bookcase and the way they maneuvererd the boxes was very heavy handed, they were bashing the walls and dropped the boxes at every opportunity. I told him to be a bit more careful and that it was a good job they weren't breakable and again he said 'it's ok love they are well packaged'.

I was then expecting a delivery note or invoice and was waiting at the door for them to return but they just drove off.

I immediately called your customer service number and explained. The lady apologised and only offered to refund me £10 as it apparently costs £30 to get the items from the van to my door. I have raised a formal complaint and awaiting a response.

The shop we ordered from was amazing, very helpful but when it came to delivery it ws a shambles. We booked delivery 12 dec, which was cancelled to the 19th which was cancelled to the 28th. The items turned up and one side table was the completely the wrong item! We called customer services who rearranged delivery for the 11th jan, so again arranged time off work to get a text at 8am on the morning of delivery! After calling customer services, trying to arrange delivery for next wed and get a guarenteed time for am as have an appt for pm and they cant committ. This is terrible service and i will not order from them again

I placed an order which cost me over £2,200, I have had to wait 6-8 weeks for delivery only to find that on day of delivery the dining room table is not available! I've received no phone call or email to explain. Customer Services were pretty useless where they said one thing but actually meant something else. I have to wait another two weeks before my table can be delivered. Not sure what I am meant to do whilst I am waiting! Useless
