This is one of the worst companies I have ever encountered. I ordered a sofa from them and paid handsomely for the sofa and delivery! The delivery prices are really high, and they will only drop the sofa at your front door unless you pay even more, over double! I ordered this particular sofa because I was told it could be delivered within a few weeks, there were other sofa's with huge wait times! Leading up to delivery I received 3 emails stating that I need to be in between 11am & 2pm then the night before I received a txt stating the same! 'make sure you are in to receive your sofa' then at 8:15am on the day of delivery to say they don't even have my sofa and that I need to re book! The re book date was over 6 weeks away! When I spoke to customer service they didn't care and offered me £40 discount which was ridiculous as my wife and I had booked the day off work and put our son in nursery for the day. Despicable lies and poor customer service

We recently bought a corner sofa at the Lincoln store. The salesman was very helpful and gave a good overall impression.
3 weeks after taking delivery, one of the cushion buttons came off. We lodged the fault through the online portal with no response or confirmation e-mail. After 1 week of no response I tried ringing the customer service number with no response. I have tried ringing the customer service 8 times over the past two weeks waiting for over two hours each time with no response.
Oak Furnitureland are very good pre-sale but once you have taken delivery they don't want to know you. Ill never step over the threshold of Oak furnitureland to purchase anything ever again.
Shockingly poor service.
Waited 16 weeks for our bedroom furniture when it was meant to be delivered it did not appear my partner took day off work second delivery date half order arrived with damaged bedside cabinet third delivery chest drawers arrived. My partner has been on customer line 2nd time for 2hrs 20 mins I phoned today on hold for 45 min. Phoned shop in Inverness all they can say is phone customer service well they didn't need customer service to take our bank details they are probably worst people in shop and customer service will never use them again absolutely shocking
Order placed back on 1st July 2022, still awaiting fulfilment. Multiple times, (now approaching double figures), they have committed to a delivery date, then cancelled on the morning of delivery and requested me to rearrange. No matter if I do this online, or through a customer service advisor, (when I eventually do get through after +45 minutes wait), it's the same output... delivery gets cancelled on the day and asked to rearrange.
It's approaching 9 months now and my patience has run out. This is the most appalling customer experience I've ever encountered, they take your money then make no efforts to fulfil their obligations.
But wait... if you act as a new customer, and leave a product in your online basket, I got not one, but two calls within a matter of hours attempting to close out my purchase, so they've got the manpower to chase new sales, but no commitment to existing customers who still await their order.
Steer clear, do not order furniture from them. Unreliable and uncontactable. Complete joke of a company.
Oak Furnitureland "leather" covered dining chairs are not fit for purpose. The chair cover is some sort of fabric coated with what is supposedly a wafer thin veneer of leather. The "leather" coating delaminates, leaving a surface with a moth eaten appearance. The company will not replace the chairs.
The salesman we saw today Hilen Thakrar at stevenage he was outstanding at his job we felt very comfortable with him very helpful and knew what he was talking about very nice man.
Customer service appalling. Rude and arrogant on the phone.so had to end the call. Called back as have had furniture before sales rep offered me extra chairs at half price if I needed more after purchase. So when you buy something as expensive as this you talk it over with your partner. Rang back for the third time and guess what refused to give me extra chairs at half price. Delivery date set ( but not the 7 days as advertised) Three of the chairs damaged some roughly sanded and different colours and seat pad damaged and two light scratches on the table and the routered joint uneven. Tried ringing but after sales is poor waited up to 45mins so sent 22 emails but no answer. Determined to get through I rang and eventually got through after 53 mins and they arranged a pickup and new delivery of chairs. Chairs delivered not on the date arranged as cancelled on the day and I had taken the morning off work. But no seat pad included.
Emails started again still no answer eventually an email sent after 12 days and said a seat pad would reach me within 7-10 days, on 8th day and still waiting.
Received a email this morning saying "on this occasion they will offer another two chairs at half price (wording it as they were doing me a favour)
I will never order from this company again it is such a shame as I have slowly furnished my bedrooms with the furniture. Time for a change as feel quality was poor. Not even offered some discount for the poor service.
I ordered 3 pieces of furniture- a TV unit, a nest of tables and a small sideboard. The TV unit and the nest of tables arrived in December and were fine but the sideboard had a deep scratch in it. Contacted the company and someone came out to 'repair ' it. The 'repair' wasn't satisfactory so a second unit was ordered. It arrived a few weeks later with an enormous crack in the top. Contacted the company, sent photos, they agreed that it was significant and so again agreed to send me another. It arrived last week, with small scratches on the front of it. I have tried to cantact them all week but there are always long queues. Ive put some wood dye on the scratches and they are acceptable but I won't be buying anything else from this company. Poor quality assurance and poor customer care.
I had a 5 week wait for my dining table and chairs, which isn't unreasonable as far as furniture goes. After arranging a day off work, I get a text late the day before to tell me there is an issue with the delivery and to immediately ring customer services. That was 2 weeks ago and I've spent over an hour on 3 separate occasions and another 40 min today trying to get through. Endless hold music and I've no way of getting a refund on my £1200 and no way of speaking to anyone. Absolutely would not recommend this experience to anyone.
Yes, the photo below should have been a picture of our brand new 10-12 seater oak dining table and chairs, ordered early January. Oak Furnitureland emailed us on Saturday 5th March to confirm delivery for Monday 7th March, as agreed at time of purchase. Sunday we removed old table to make room for the new delivery. Received email early morning 7th March to contact Oak Furnitureland URGENTLY as there was a problem with part of the order. We rang them URGENTLY ( as requested) and spent several hours waiting on the phone, No answer, tried to raise an online enquiry on their website, no good, it directed us back to the customer service line, yes the one they don't answer. Tried to ring again on Tuesday and today - no answer. I rang their Sales line this was answered almost immediately but they can't help with after sales! Clearly quick enough to answer the sales line as they are more interested in taking people's money than they are in honouring their contracts AND actually delivering the goods! So, here we are, no new table and chairs, no way of speaking to anyone, and now having to resort to using our 2 seater caravan table! Why is it our responsibility to contact them when the delivery THEY were responsible for did not happen? Why can't I speak to someone to find out what is happening? Absolutely appalling customer service! Now at the point that I want a full refund. I have no faith in this Company! Thankfully, we did not also buy the three piece we were also looking at or we would now be sat on the floor! I have written to their head office with a letter of complaint butI won't hold my breath in the hope of a quick response. So be aware their after sales service is atrocious. Now to battle, to try and retrieve our money as they have broken their contract with us.
If we could give no stars we would. Worst company we have ever had the misfortune to deal with. In keeping with many other reviews we ordered furniture in September 2020 with a delivery date of December. One item was in stock so was reserved for us and the other was due in December. Close to this delivery date we received an email advising a revised date of February 21st. Close to this we received an email advising another delay until March. One week prior to this delivery we received a time slot. At 6pm the night before the 0930-1230 delivery we received a text advising another delay and asking US to contact THEM.
Chest of drawers arrived a week ago. Have been trying to contact them ever since, no one answers. E mailed customer services no one calls back, sent photos via app again no one calls, terrible experience I would avoid this company at all cost
My bed was supposed to have been delivered 21st January phone store to find out where it was i had had no text or email from them. They said it had been delayed new date 23rd February took day of work today dismantled old bed at 6am this morning and put out in the rain. Got a text at 9am to say there was a bit missing no idea what was hoping it was a bed side cabinet that was also on order turns out it was the sides of the bed so no way it can be put together. In total today i have spent 2hours in a waiting que on the phone and 3 phone calls to the store who were no help at all. Wish i had read the reviews before i purchased from them
This is not an honest company - BE WARNED: they are quick to take your money and then you wait forever for your goods. We ordered two expensive items from Oak Furnitureland on the 1st May 2021. One of the items was delivered only after 6 months, the other item we are still waiting for nearly 10 months later. Repeatedly get messages fobbing us off with excuses saying goods delayed due to COVID etc etc - but yet we ordered sofas etc from Marks and Spencer and got the goods in 7 days. Now we have had a message saying that our second item from Oak Furnitureland that was ordered on the 1st May 2021 will not be delivered till after May 2022 - more than 12 months after ordering it. And I still don't believe it will be delivered in May 2022! I have lost faith COMPLETELY in this company and don't trust them as far as I could throw them. My advice to you: go to Marks and Spencer or John Lewis - you will regret you ever bought anything from Oak Furnitureland! Sorry but they deserve to go bust!
Within 6 months the stitching in the sofa came apart and the stuffing came out and caught in the workings of the recliner. They have told me this is wear and tare. I haven't finished paying for it yet!
This is the worst company I ever had to deal with. 4 pieces of furniture ordered online and 5 different problems on top of paying 4 times the delivery and building fee of 100 £. First of all, apparently, the delivery of 6 weeks was expected as the furniture are hand-made but then it comes from Vietnam. So for 6 weeks, we had to live in an empty house without furniture. First item to deliver, the lorry broke down so a delay in the delivery (which was unfortunate but seems to happen quite often strangely). Second item, a leg of the table was already broken, and a new one was only sent over a week later because it had to come from Vietnam (no stock in the UK) and we had to fix it ourselves. Third item arrives on the expected date, no problem: Wow a miracle. Last item (a bedframe), one day before delivery, they called us to say sorry the delivery will happen a month later so it will be 2 months sleeping on the floor. Upon delivery, the slacks were the wrong ones, and now we need to wait an extra 2 weeks to get the correct ones. There is nothing that goes right with this company. But when you forget an item in your online basket, they won't let you go until you tell them you were just checking the website.
Really never again with them. No stock, no compassion, no decent delivery time, no compensation,...
I am really disappointed and upset about my visit to your sealand road store in Chester.
My husband and I visited yesterday (Sunday 20th February) we were looking for a sofa. We had a look around and then went on to the other sofa stores on the retail park, the sofa we both liked and agreed on was the Devon Plus in your store so we went back in to take another look and get some details.
The same assistant saw us again and said "oh you're back again" so he knew we were serious buyers, he was very helpful. He wrote his name, the name of the sofa, Devon Plus, the dimensions and the price of £1658. 99 on a piece of paper for me as we needed to go home and measure the space where it was going.
Today I have been back to the store with £1660. 00 cash in my bag to order the sofa, The same assistant served me again and as he was putting the order through I noticed the price had gone up to £1784. 99, he spoke to both of his managers to try and get them to honour the price of yesterday but neither of them would, all they said was that the price has gone up over night. When I searched the sofa on Google it came up at £1658. 99 in your store, the link then took me to a page with the increased price on, the manager even tried to say that I was looking at the 2 seater version and that the price appearing on Google was not a live price.
The Devon Plus was on a 7 day delivery so I know this sofa is already manufactured, there is no excuse of increased shipping charges etc etc, it's sat in a warehouse somewhere waiting to be bought, I am really annoyed that the price can go up by £126.00 overnight when all I did was go home to measure up and the store manager would not honour the original price for me, I had the cash in my bag ready to pay.
I was even told on the Sunday that if I purchased now and the price went down in the bank holiday sales that you would refund the difference (until delivery) and yet they wouldn't honor the price I had been given just the day before.
The store assistant was very apologetic I think probably embarrassed and needless to say I walked out the store.
Order placed 4th Dec delivery due 23 Jan no show new date Feb 18th no show yet again fuming as old bed taken to tip now left with no bed would never buy from them again let's see how long I have to wait for my refund!
I have tried calling customer services for 2 days, I have been cut off 4 times after waiting over an hour each time. Called local branch who said nothing they can do, although he put a request through for a call back surprise surprise no call. These want reporting to Watchdog. I will never purchase anything from them again. If I could have scored them a 0 I would have.
Half a wardrobe, broken side table and so far this has taken 6 months. Keep your money and go elsewhere.
Answer: They won't last long. The store managers are terrified that the stores will close as people use the internet for OFL products. Naturally there will be more internet complaints so the company will struggle. Avoid, unless you have lots of time to waste.

Answer: Ikea customer service. Excellent. These clowns should be closed down. BBC watchdog should take up a story here..
