The company makes excellent fire grates. This is the second fire grate for another home that I've had to purchase. They're extremely well built and the dimensions are exactly as they state. When I had some questions their customer service was very responsive and provided me with the information I needed. I am very happy with this company and their products.
I've installed probably 400-500 flue caps. This was one of, if not the worst flue cap I've ever installed. (yes I found the cheapest price/ was doing a side-job).
When the screws are driven into the flue, instead of digging into the terra cotta, it pushes the thin metal band out.
One of the screw locking nuts was broken when delivered. I ended up having to put a thick bead of silicone around the top of the flue tile and pressing the cap down. Otherwise a 30mph crosswind would have easily ripped this off (hitting someone possibly/ big liability)
Absolutely would not purchase this again. Strongly advise against if you are looking for quality.
Basically everything is there but some parts need grinding or drilling to go together! I give this assembly to the professionals!
