We bought a 45 yr old house with a triple flue chimney that never had any caps. Any time it would rain you could hear it hitting the fireplace damper and water would leak from the clean outs in the basement. After installing the full cover cap everything has been bone dry and worked perfectly.
Looked for American made found it ordered it got it quickly installed no issues
