Overall Next Door is a valuable asset.
I like being able to deal with locals, neighbors.
I like the recommends also.
I DO NOT like the arguments and gossip.
Great app and I have really grown to like it. The listings are really great and I like scrolling through them all. Awesome concept on everything listed.
Keeps everyone aware of what is happening in our Wildwood community. We should keep in mind that this is not a device to vent frustrations. Look at it as a great source of becoming aware of our lovely Wildwood community and the people who live here. Thank u.
nextdoor.com is an evil business. It encourages crimes by encouraging
Crime-loving neighbors to report neighbors. nextdoor.com closed my
Account without any notice. Basically I just posted on the crime board

I like it, very handy to have in order to communicate with neighbors. I've had an experience wherecI thought the leads monitoring it were way to much but overall good.
This site demands that you use your real name. They use your real name when you post something on there site. Given the way how people act today and you not knowing who is looking at your post. It could cause you trouble from anyone on there. They give you the bull that safety is there up most concern. Do not believe that for a minute if that was the case then your name should not matter. You have to give them your street address and they confirm who you are. The people on this site can cause problems as I myself was dealing with a jerk on there. If you do decide to use there site be aware of there rules and keep in mind that you could get problems from the site or from people you do not know. If you violate there rules they will either deactivate your account or suspend you for some days. Make sure that you really read as many negative reviews on here they are true.
I love Nextdoor and the way it keeps everyone informed. Having everyone looking out for one another is a very good thing.
I get a lot of value out of Nextdoor's network, but I can't stand the native app, the web app is nice and fast, but the native app is slow and unresponsive. It either needs a rewrite or the API needs to be opened up so 3rd parties can hook into it.
Found good people to hire, a couple of lovely home items, a new nail place. Offered my own resources, advice and how our hires worked out.
Our county was invited to participate for sheriff's information. We are in overload with information from the county now. I can't figure out how to uninvite them.
I have found several posts with helpful and interesting information. I have posted requests for recommendations and always get good results. It seems to be a site that is well managed and secure. I feel safe using it. Sometimes there are tirades about housing or some other issue but I just don't read them.
Nextdoor has been a great tool for letting me know what is going on in the neighborhood. I have received help when I asked and found great helpers by answering "ads". I have recommended Nextdoor to several friends.
The site enables neighbors close by and sister neighborhoods to help each other with keeping with the times.
I'm grateful to my neighbors for posting important information such as coyote sightings, residential burglaries, car burglaries, suspicious folks in the neighborhood, etc. I am also pleased with the recommendations of electricians, plumbers, and other workers. It helps me to know who to call. I'm very glad I joined this group of neighbors.
As Lead at a relatively new neighborhood, the verifying addressed is very time consuming. This is because at least 20 homes a month are added and new streets are unrecognized. There needs to be a better way. New neighbors rarely take the time to work through the process.
ND is great for getting the word out about lost pets, alerts to a specific neighborhood and timely reminders. Some people tend to get very snarky and most of the time the leads do little or nothing. It is annoying. If you sign up to be a lead then pay attention and lead.
I use Nextdoor from time to time to ask questions, get information or buying stuff. I've had only positive experiences.
A good local resource and information provider. Keeps you updated about good and not so good things happening nearby.
I have tried to get my email on the site. I received your email about the survey without any problems.
I never get any emails about the neighborhood or next door.
I used to get email every day. I don't understand what is happening.
I have found many posts of interest, especially those regarding services I need done. I also post my experience with people and businesses I have used. I appreciate the warning posts.
Answer: The negative reviews are honest reactions to being duped into sharing too much personal information (that Nextdoor now owns and will NEVER delete and will continue to sell to advertisers until your dying day) to join a site that seems friendly on the surface, but which does NOTHING to protect users. I was bullied by a convicted murderer, who is a Lead in my neighborhood--and I was banned from the site for complaining. Leads are nothing more than early adopters of the site who have been assigned power over other users so that Nextdoor does not have to police it's own site. In short: No. The negative reviews are not wrong. Heed them! I wish I had known before it was too late!
Answer: Forget about nextdoor and leads. Get a life, a real one. Don't waste your time with toxic online communities that tend to get the worst out of people. My advise is run away while you still have some dignity left.
Answer: Kay is right. That is their policy. However, don't expect them to hold to it. We have leads unfairly removing only some people's comments and Nextdoor does nothing about it. Best bet, dump nextdoor.
Answer: Neighborhood. Rocks is in development. Another 6 months.
Answer: Truth is like oil and water. As long as the scam artist have enough venture capital (other people's money) they will continue to shake the bottle leaving it a murky view obscuring the truth. Run out of cash, they'll be exposed for the incompetent boobs they are and the top dogs will clear out their bank accounts and move on to the next scam. One look at their "leading edge tech" pulled right out of the 1980's is proof enough they will die in the tar pits just like the fellow dinosaurs. Want a state of the art app? Check out https://wiggio.com or www.neighborhoodlink.com
Answer: Dallas, SiteJabber rates it at 16%. It would surely rate lower if there weren't so many fake positive reviews. Folks review Nextdoor either 1 or 5. The fives read like ads about Nextdoor's features and potential. The ones are written by real people and give accounts of how awful their experiences were.
Answer: Several other reviewers on this site have had the same thing happen to them. We have been fully banned from nextdoor (beyond just "suspension"), but they keep our profiles, and sometimes our names still appear in the neighbor registry. They refuse to remove us fully, I suppose, in an attempt to misrepresent our endorsement and participation there. It's clearly unethical, but their TOS states that they can do this, as any nd apologist will point out.
Answer: Here's a tidy answer from corporate... Hi Colleen, Thanks for getting back to me. Our Community Guidelines prohibit posting about Lead activity on the main newsfeed. If your Leads are inactivate and youre concerned about moderation in your neighborhood, you should reach out directly to Nextdoor Support. If you have any specific concerns I can help you with at this time, please let me know. Best, Amanda Nextdoor However, the minute you alert corporate to issues with leads in your community you'll find your account terminated. They are very protective of the information surrounding who really is controlling the activities on the boards. Most people in my community are under the misguided impression that corporate is in control. They don't even consider it is their neighbor who sits in judgement.
Answer: Nextdoor wants your full legal name, house number and address and your email address that they link all together. As an added bonus... They have a little map that you can click on. That way if, OMG, you offend someone the little map leads them straight to your house. Run, do not walk, away from this site. No good comes from Nextdoor.
Answer: Your name and address will be known to everyone who uses the NextDoor application and website. I don't suggest using it. I recently discovered that low income apartments in ghetto areas might be able to use the application to do crime. Car theft, asaaults, kidnapping and just about everything else under the sun.
