NEXTDOOR WEBSITE WARNING
YOUR INFORMATION IS NOT PRIVATE
Nextdoor is in partnership with local government and law enforcemnt authorities to provide crucial information to the public but also Nextdoor provides your name and address to community members, which violates your right to privacy rights and personal security and safety this also puts Nextdoor into a category where they cannot censor opposing opinions due to there partnerships with government agency's. There is case law against Nextdoor
In my case when a neighbor in the community named Kat Kavaliunas from Surprise AZ provided false information to the community over and ongoing neighborhood feud involving barking dogs and bright flood lights, and then discloses the street that you live on. (this violation of ones right to privacy) This resident that has caused neighborhood bullying and then my account has been suspended multiple times for defending myself from her viscous ongoing attacks on Nextdoor. The moderators do not look at the whole picture nor do they care that the person creating the post shares your address on their platform, and when you do report the post then they take hours if not days to respond while the attacks are allowed to continue, then to top it off your account gets suspended for reporting their viscous neighborhood post while defending yourself. Your private information should never be allowed to be exploited on any website. Nextdoor claims to protect your privacy which is not the case when another resident knows your full name and knows where you live.
Nextdoor.com is a website for profit at the expense of your own personal information an and safety... Think twice about using this application and this website (nextdoor.com)
I have found NextDoor to be systemically biased against those with conservative views. They rarely, if ever, remove posts from liberals and never suspend them, to my knowledge. ND regularly censors and de-platforms conservatives, however.
Finally had enough of a NextDoor Democrat blaming Trump for Covid-19 deaths, for destroying the economy, etc., etc. and then calling our President a cheeto, and responded that he was a Democrat troll that got his talking points daily from the DNC. Another said that Blacks had to fear driving, to which I responded the truth that Blacks are more at risk driving through all Black neighborhoods than driving through a predominately White one. Well, that was too much for Democrat NextDoor and I got temporarily suspended. Did the troll get suspended? Nope. Don't waste your time on NextDoor. It's just another vehicle for left coast liberals to rant and for Google and other social media trackers to plant their cookies on your computer.
We have a separate group from the general forum Idaho for Trump. It's design was for people of common values to talk without offending the others. The the leftist cabal started to monitor our discussions and say thing to bait us to respond so that numerous people in the cabal could file complaints against us and get us banished. I used my time Off to raise $4000 for the Trump re-election campaign. ND admin seems to favor the leftists and will drop you without explanation. We are looking for a better site to comminucate because this one is totally screwed up.
They offered the opportunity to start your own group in your neighborhood dealing with special interests. I started one with the word "Patriot" in the title. It naturally concerned politics and was centered on a Conservative agenda. It was a separate group open to ALL. One person got on there with a fictitious name and dominated the whole posting scene. When challenged this person came up with the same line repeatedly and then spewed more mainstream media hype against our President. I matched wits and was censored and had my account disabled. Their logic was that I offended some folks on there and violated "their" guidelines. I never swore or dropped any "F" bombs just used wit and clever references to outwit the nag. Since these folks are based in San Fran they are most likely in with Nancy Pelosi and that ilk. The site is useless unless you are a Stepford Wife and toe THEIR marks. You are better off to not waste your time or typing on these idiots!
Completely locked out if this app by a rabid trump moderator. It's a bastion of right wing conspiracies and bigots. I was hard banned I cannot even log in. This app needs to go!
Complete left wing America Hating California garbage. Worse than Facebook. A good blade to acceptably bash Republicans, Caucasians and ofcourse Donald Trump. Any slight indication that you support the Costitution or our Great Flag, you will get booted for Hate Speech
Nextdoor is basically a data mining website, it appears they are only interested in selling you. Today I asked to have my account permanently deleted. I was suspended a second time after defending myself against a troll who was spreading misinformation about covid. I wonder if Nextdoor is a getting paid by the Trump campaign or Republican Party because the site is full of right wing trolls, racist trolls, and trolls spreading misinformation about Covid-19. I made a mistake by going back, I just wanted to purchase somethings for sale but never again.
There was a heated comment thread on blacks lives matter and the police. The person who posted the comment claimed his blue thin line flag was vandalized without showing pictures. There was no proof of who committed the vandalism. The ensuing comments were racist, I reported the person who posted the original comment and racists comments. I then had my account disabled and still not reinstated a day later. I believe my neighbors retaliated against and reported my account as a fake profile. I am now afraid of which neighbors made hateful comments. Nextdoor is scary, they do not address people who are there to just stir up anger and division.
Totally Radical left wing nuts. If you don't agree with the radical left, don't join this site. It is run but Left Winged Nuts!
If I could give it less than 1 star I would. I posted an article recently that I found on Facebook on to ND. It was removed because of controversial issues according to ND. It was posted properly in the National and State forum. It was about how Americans are being gaslighted. Since it was not left enough for ND they removed it. I was suspended for 30 days a couple of months ago for similar reasons. Also if you speak the truth ND will, apparently, remove your post if it is reported. They would rather perpetuate lies than promote the truth. I have had several posts removed for the same reasons.
If it is not Left or Lies don't post it. If someone complains it's gone!
(Interestingly, Facebook where I got my post from is the parent company of ND. ND rejects while FB lets it stay. Looks like ND really really likes Zuckerberg's boot print thats planted right between ND eyes!
Kept getting notifications of messages from NextDoor when there weren't any messages. Finally deleted the app to see if that fixed it. When I reinstalled it I asked for a password reset that never came. Tried to contact them but got in their endless no help do it yourself loop that never worked. Maybe a bad review is the only way to get their attention.
I've never seen so many helpless and clueless folks as who post on what should be called nextBORE, not nextdoor... I guess the best thing about it is you can figure out which neighbors to avoid altogether.
About a year ago I joined my local Nextdoor even after I saw that there was many issues with this social media across the country. It was fine until this spring when the Liberal Lefists would try to silence anything they wanted by yelling FAKE NEWS. Even when factual information was given with authentic links, they refused to even consider and claimed fake news. I ended up deactivating my account to get rid of the Libtards. Since I have been living in that area for 26 years, I really had no use for that type of social media which caters to people that are new and need lots of information about services in the area.
Most people in Nextdoor are there to cause trouble, Harass and to just be total Morons in every sense of the word. I am Friendly Hills West. Colorado. Nothing Friendly about these people.
This is Social Media at it's worst. For every problem the mention of Call The Police is their solution.
Someone should call the Police and get these idiots off the Computer and Back to Real society.
If I could give a Negative 5 rating, that would be to Nice.
I Know my Neighbors personally, And these people would be Run Out Of this neighborhood.
Especially if they lived Nextdoor To Me!
Nextdoor hates white people. Nextdoor hates conservatives. Nextdoor hates Christians. Nextdoor allows and encourages report abuse and brigading allowing leftists to undermine the intent, safety and integrity of the website.
Neighbors bully and silence others with whom they disagree. It is all in the hands of the leads, who disable accounts at their pleasure and according to their own political views. Antifa simpatizers and people who promote violence are allowed, in spite of repeated complaints.
Nothing but a reflection of what the media is promoting, however, if Nextdoor continues to allow harassment, I hope someone starts a class action lawsuit.
DISGUSTING. EVERY PERSON INVOLVED WITH THIS SITE IS SHADY with some covert real estate interest. They're actually even involved with several TERRORIST groups and drug trafficking and human trafficking. They fish around for every piece of information they can glean about your life, force people to use their full legal names and addresses when "addressing them", which is a MAJOR safety and privacy violation, and all they really want to find out is how many angles they can SCAM YOU from. And there are a MYRIAD of ways they can do that--they can sell you a balloon loan to buy a home, they can rent you a shady apartment, they can help set you up with an entire criminal network of dirty-deals all around your lovely "neigborhood". It should be called "the terrorist and drug dealer nextdoor" instead of just nextdoor. They'll even stoop so low as to hack your computer and devices to get more information, since they force you to give them such a good start into the violation of your privacy. Then they'll allow other members to threaten and harass you and call you and your family racial slurs to try to bully you off of there if you aren't falling in line with all their criminal bs. I've never seen anything like it. I've never seen so many nicely dressed scammers and schemers and drug dealers.
You have to get a verification code each time you sign in. Not user friendly. Seriously, it's more difficult to get into than other social media platforms. I seriously don't think your account is at much risk of getting hacked. No one cares enough. At the cost of free, this app is not worth it.
Answer: The negative reviews are honest reactions to being duped into sharing too much personal information (that Nextdoor now owns and will NEVER delete and will continue to sell to advertisers until your dying day) to join a site that seems friendly on the surface, but which does NOTHING to protect users. I was bullied by a convicted murderer, who is a Lead in my neighborhood--and I was banned from the site for complaining. Leads are nothing more than early adopters of the site who have been assigned power over other users so that Nextdoor does not have to police it's own site. In short: No. The negative reviews are not wrong. Heed them! I wish I had known before it was too late!
Answer: Forget about nextdoor and leads. Get a life, a real one. Don't waste your time with toxic online communities that tend to get the worst out of people. My advise is run away while you still have some dignity left.
Answer: Kay is right. That is their policy. However, don't expect them to hold to it. We have leads unfairly removing only some people's comments and Nextdoor does nothing about it. Best bet, dump nextdoor.
Answer: Neighborhood. Rocks is in development. Another 6 months.
Answer: Truth is like oil and water. As long as the scam artist have enough venture capital (other people's money) they will continue to shake the bottle leaving it a murky view obscuring the truth. Run out of cash, they'll be exposed for the incompetent boobs they are and the top dogs will clear out their bank accounts and move on to the next scam. One look at their "leading edge tech" pulled right out of the 1980's is proof enough they will die in the tar pits just like the fellow dinosaurs. Want a state of the art app? Check out https://wiggio.com or www.neighborhoodlink.com
Answer: Dallas, SiteJabber rates it at 16%. It would surely rate lower if there weren't so many fake positive reviews. Folks review Nextdoor either 1 or 5. The fives read like ads about Nextdoor's features and potential. The ones are written by real people and give accounts of how awful their experiences were.
Answer: Several other reviewers on this site have had the same thing happen to them. We have been fully banned from nextdoor (beyond just "suspension"), but they keep our profiles, and sometimes our names still appear in the neighbor registry. They refuse to remove us fully, I suppose, in an attempt to misrepresent our endorsement and participation there. It's clearly unethical, but their TOS states that they can do this, as any nd apologist will point out.
Answer: Here's a tidy answer from corporate... Hi Colleen, Thanks for getting back to me. Our Community Guidelines prohibit posting about Lead activity on the main newsfeed. If your Leads are inactivate and youre concerned about moderation in your neighborhood, you should reach out directly to Nextdoor Support. If you have any specific concerns I can help you with at this time, please let me know. Best, Amanda Nextdoor However, the minute you alert corporate to issues with leads in your community you'll find your account terminated. They are very protective of the information surrounding who really is controlling the activities on the boards. Most people in my community are under the misguided impression that corporate is in control. They don't even consider it is their neighbor who sits in judgement.
Answer: Nextdoor wants your full legal name, house number and address and your email address that they link all together. As an added bonus... They have a little map that you can click on. That way if, OMG, you offend someone the little map leads them straight to your house. Run, do not walk, away from this site. No good comes from Nextdoor.
Answer: Your name and address will be known to everyone who uses the NextDoor application and website. I don't suggest using it. I recently discovered that low income apartments in ghetto areas might be able to use the application to do crime. Car theft, asaaults, kidnapping and just about everything else under the sun.
