Heavy bias.
August 25, 2020

Heavy liberal bias.
Ignored reports of blatant bullying, discrimination and trolling... if they are liberal.

Worse than Facebook there was a lady that was going to open her restaurants during coronavirus shut down and I definitely disagreed with her and then she had me deleted permanently off of next door! And I've heard from other people that this woman would do this to anybody that disagreed with her. So basically turns into a very clicky sorority type of atmosphere other members of my family have tried to use Nextdoor and they could not because my address was permanently banned!

At first I found it useful but then I moved into another area of town and it seemed like a different place. The parole officer mentality over my postings that are respectful, sympathetic, somehow set some people off with too much time on their hands. And they snitch on you! It's a mean, petty, snotty place to be. You had to be part of the clique to have a response recognized. I never felt welcomed. I am sick of the lost dogs day after day which is all it exists for. Other than that I have found a few reliable contractors. I plan to ditch it and stick with Home Advisor. It has served its purpose in making some SF app gurus wealthy so it has served its purpose.

Meeting your neighbors and help reunite lost puppies and kitty-kats? Sounds all great in theory--until you bring real human-beings into the mix. Nextdoor is one of THE worst social media sites I have had the misfortune to join. Toxic and full of conservative vile, certain "neighbors" are allowed to spew their verbal garbage and attack others, while the single, and clearly biased, lone neighborhood lead looks on impassively.
Neighbors are supposed to use their real name, yet somehow, many--especially those who gleefully engage in this online bullying, manage to have only initials as their first and last name.
Most social networks are organized around people's shared interests, education, professional interests, time of life. It's more self-selective. With Nextdoor, you bring together people who wouldn't necessarily hang out together, who are defined by the physical area of the neighborhoods they live in. This creates huge problems.
I, for one, am done. I am not keen on having my name and address disclosed to my bigoted, racist, bullying neighbors.

Everyone that has a desire to join this jaded platform needs to beware.

Putting moderation powers in the hands of a few old racists is as bad as the idea sounds. Wildly inconsistent rule enforcement, and a definite bias against young people with liberal views. Imagine the comments section of your local newspaper. Yea, it's that bad.

This app is good in theory. In reality, it has become a garbage pit mostly for people who like voice their politic bias in mean, discriminatory ways. In my community, the latest trend seems to be some form of neo-McCarthyism. People are being called Communists. It's almost laughable.

Here's a quote from one of my neighbors, keeping in mind I never stated my party affiliation: "And as all DEMENTOCRATS ALLOWING Someone else to FEED THEM $#*! AND KEEP THEM INVTHE DARK LIKE MUSHROOMS! DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND CHECK YOUR FACTS BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH!" How neighborly is that?

Horrible and toxic environment. Especially, for any sharing and discussions regarding politics. The people are like locust, waiting to lunge and devour you. Very rude and toxic and dysfunctional app.

Please reconsider being a member of ND. The hate and prejudice that is allowed and supported by the platform and the leads is standard operation practice.if you hold a different view point then the collective you will be kicked off as punishment. Interesting, when kicked off for a bit, ND allows others to continue to bash you but you can't respond. The most important issue to consider before using this platform is you much agree with the collective... think like... feel like... act like the collective, if you don't the collective has your name, your address, perhaps go to the same stores. And it bleeds over. ND poses more danger to users the. Twitter or Facebook. If you want to feel comfortable and safe in your neighborhood, do not become a member of ND... just click past

1 star rating is too good, There should be a 1/4 star selection!
Many of the reviews for Nextdoor are negative and there is a reason.
Because if you have a problem, you will spend hours, yes multiple sessions with emails back and forth along with being linked to a BOT where you think you have someone that can help you but keeps asking you questions that don't make sense until you are finally told they will transfer you to the Gethuman web site that wants you to pay $1 (not much bur really!) to get a live person to chat with. This takes a while but by the time you get to this point, your are so annoyed and have spent so much time that you realize that it's just not worth spending any more time and finally decide that the warning signs were right in front of you with all the negative ratings but you can pruge this from your life and hope you can help someone else from this colossal waste of time!.
Nextdoor should be renamed as "Trapdoor"

This relatively new place on Eastern is incredible. Have been there many times since right after their opening. Everything is made to order & homemade where possible. Last night (our anniversary) we went there: had the Dover Sole & a pasta side with shrimp. WOW! They knocked the ball outa the park with this one. We have had Dover Sole many places all over the world, but this is the best (fresh daily), not expensive, service is super, cleaning is non-stop. Their wine list is Italian. Owner helped us with a NAPA Cab. Equivalent. It was great.

If you haven't tried them, you are missing the boat.

The reason most people join Nextdoor is because accounts had to be verified by a card sent to their address before posting. Now, they're allowing fake accounts spread misinformation all over the place. People have access to your name and neighborhood and you have no way to block them.

Bad app
August 3, 2020

While the name of app sounds good! It is actually by Leads for your neighborhood! There was a post on ND that I didn't post! My wife is on ND. I was kicked out for 3 days. My second time!
This last time I got back on to delete my personal information because it is for sale. There was a link to click on to keep it from being sold!
The information i deleted was back up. I have proof of it. I think there are at least 9+ class action lawsuits and now I will have to waste my time in suing them! All I wanted was my information off!
ND is a click not a friendly site. Leads rule!

I used to like Nextdoor for the most part since I can post to help and post to get help for a lot of things. Until yesterday. I. e.(August 2,2020).
Due to the recent social unrest and riots, I started feeling unsafe and wanted to get a gun, my first ever. But local stores are running low on stock. So I posted on Nextdoor and my great neighbors came to my rescue with very good recommendations. However, one lady said she was concerned "that so many people around here are buying guns". First of all, for those already have guns that came to my help, they do not need to buy guns right now! Secondly, the entire thread only addresses my concern to get my first gun. But the site, without informing me, just deleted my post yesterday afternoon. Last night I posted a complaining message trying to get someone to address the issue. Lo and behold, now I am kicked out of the site! I have NEVER been removed from any site for any reason. Are we in a state where freedom of speech is no longer respected? And being 'politically correct' supersedes everything?!
This is both upsetting and scary.

A site for libtards
July 31, 2020

This site will block you if you stand up to liberal people and post the truth. This site allows liberals to post what ever they wish but a conservative point of view will get locked out.

Nextdoor is censuring posts now. Any reference to rioting in your location is now deleted. The last I saw was an article from the local newspaper the reviewjournal giving readers information time, date and location of a potential hotspot.

Nextdoor has labeled itself as a neighborhood website. Nothing could be further from the truth.

This is a warning that if you are looking for a site where you can freely share information with neighbors without fear or censorship, NextDoor is something you should run away from.

Nextdoor just suspended my account because of some racially heated threads that were not even started by me. It has become a utter cesspool of leftist, socialist ideologies, butthurt feelings of white progressives wallowing in their own white guilt whilst kneeling at the altar at the church of the blm. I speak my mind, always will! I would just recommend if you want a good place to find out the going's on in your neighborhood, just talk to your neighbors instead. Avoid the Nextdoor website like the plague!

A hateful place to go. If you join and post a conservative opinion the Nextdoor liberal vulture members will go on the attack with insults and threats. If you object to that Nextdoor will disable your account for not meeting community standards. It appears Nextdoors idea of an upstanding community are only those who have hard core leftist points of view--stay the heck away from Nextdoor

This anti-American San Francisco based social media tool is the absolute WORST when it comes to selectively censoring any comment no matter how polite that does not agree with all things liberal militancy. It is now dominated by Gestapo brown shirts that hate-bate, race-bate, bully, and then hypocritically gang up and label you as ignorant, hateful and even dangerous.

We are living in an era where freedom of speech, freedom of press and freedom to politely express your opinions on social media are under assault by social media platforms which are all based out of California. Nextdoor is the absolute worst!
