Nextdoor
February 25, 2021

Nextdoor is suppose to be a social-media platform for ALL neighbors in a community. Nextdoor offers the option to create private groups for discussions regarding National politics, etc. The General section of Nextdoor does not allow you to discuss politics outside of your local government. Hence, offering private groups for these discussions. We had a group called Conservatives for Freedom which was started in June, 2020 and had grown to 352 members. On Saturday, February 20,2021, Nextdoor unfairly shut our group down and said we were violating their guidelines. We had not violated one guideline in our private group and were shut down unfairly. Nextdoor still allows the Thornton Progressive Democrats group to stay active. The posts in their group are the same as ours just with opposing political views.

This is clearly discriminating against every member in the community who does not have the same political views. Since this is a community neighborhood platform, Nextdoor cannot discriminate against any members who have different political views. They either have to shut down ALL political private groups or they have to allow community members to have groups with all political views.

They can basically constantly get you suspended from the site and you are never allowed to say anything to defend yourself or discuss any problems with them on the website. They claim in their rules that you can set up a Nextdoor policies group to discuss problems with a lead, but when I did so, I was suspended for critisizing a lead, even without naming them directly. Just saying "a lead." This is the most punitive and destructive website to its users. They treat you as if you should be grateful to be on there and as if the leads, the supervisors, are like managers at a job where you're being paid. Who wants to put up with punishment like that for no pay? RIdiculous! The relevant question is, who needs this stupid site? It's not even worth the aggravation of being suspended for displeasing some little twerp who sits at their computer and puts on airs because they got appointed as a lead.

Floors & More by Chris
February 23, 2021

Chris did a tub to shower conversion in our bathroom; he did an outstanding job. Wow what a difference. Replaced a chipped tub and ceramic tiles, several with cracks, with a ceramic shower stall. The job was done in a professional, quality manor, no short cuts, using the best building practices. Chris kept us up to date throughout the project. The results where better than we anticipated. Here's a picture with the final results.

Horrible Left Wing Group
February 21, 2021

Nextdoor is a terrible attempt at trying to create another social, privacy stealing, site similar to Facebook. Nextdoor does it by utilizing your area and your neighbors to break through your privacy concerns. Next they start shoving ads at you that make you wonder how they can even know you have purchased similar products in the past. Trust me... we don't need another privacy invasion site in our lives. I had to force Facebook to delete my account years ago and now ill do the same with this one. Run while you still can!

Absolutely horrible
February 20, 2021

Nextdoor is HORRIBLE. Whoever the moderators are, are a JOKE. They tell you what you can and can't post on the feed but those "hypocrites" can post their promotion sponsors on the same feed. They remove your comments when THEY feel like it and have the nerve to disable. All you see is ads now, and the posts dates are all out of sync. Trust me, STAY AWAY from this app. I really hope those sponsors buy them out and shut them down. If you want real live information without all the other bs, download "neighbors" app. I just found it and it sends you updates on crime as they just happened in your area, if you're into just that.

When I did snapshots of their own post of advertisements and called them hypocrites,
Guess they didn't want people to see that so they removed the post and disabled me, which is fine because my last sentence was "I'm out", which means I was about to disable anyway. Now I would say this, its good for references if you're needing services for something but the moment a service person put their card or promote, then they delete their post but its ok for nextdoor "sponsors" to post their advertisements because their getting "PAID". When I called them out on that, they did not like it because they know I was right. LOL The administration and/or moderators on next door are a JOKE and need to be replace but the app needs to be SHUT DOWN!

One of the rules is that you're not supposed to talk about God. Because it might offend someone.
Not surprising since next door came from California.

If you happen to have two addresses you need two separate accounts. Seriously? How could such basic functionality be left out of a site for neighborhoods? Absolutely brain dead developers.

Downfall of the Democracy
February 14, 2021

Where do I begin,? Next-door is a bay area whiny liberal silicon valley cesspool that has proved by the looks of many websites to be the next unconstitutional piece of father that may surpass Twitter and Facebook with their antics and their hatred for America. If you disagree with anyone on there there are more than one buttons to push to get you kicked off of their falsely accused of something or band for simply disagreeing with a snowflake rubbish this being tossed around throughout the neighborhoods. I can save us in El Dorado County people do not want any more Bay Area people to flock to a place they are learning very quickly they do not like. We will not stop hunting we will not stop riding dirt bikes we will not stop target practicing on our ranches. If they don't like it they can move back to the cesspool that is the bay area in the surrounding areas where people are free to defecate on the streets or free to come from other countries illegally and set up shop. I am a proud conservative Republican that is sick and tired of watching these types of people move into our area.

Now we have the cancer of another want to be Facebook or Twitter moving into our area. From the looks of the reviews Nextdoor is crap just like the droves of Leftists running from their dens of cockroaches in the Bay.

Enjoy Joe, in less than 4 a real President, President Trump will be back to abolish $#*! show websites like this Twitter and Facebook once and for all. I think it's kind of funny how Next Door thinks they're helping people they're not they're dividing people even further and that sometimes isn't such a bad thing.

THIS WEBSITE IS TOXIC
February 13, 2021

I joined this website over a week ago, and started getting emails enquiring about my cleaning with some woman's name on who is a line sham cleaner. These emails kept coming so I thought they were genuine enquiries. Then I was given the height of abuse from these enquirers saying they aren't for you, and threatening my company with bad comments. This site is run by a gang of tossers in the US. Absolutely horrible people don't bother signing up it's full of low life weirdos..

A property developer and staff were cyberbullying anyone who posted photographs, videos, comments, or concerns about local crimes. This was in an attempt to keep property values high by avoiding documentation of actual crime levels. Nextdoor staff allowed this cyberbullying and then would block individuals who identified the bullies claiming they had a right to be anonymous and not be outed. Nextdoor sensors its comments and protects cyberbullies while not allowing actual accountability or documentation and community involvement.

We had a flooding issue in our backyard. The previous owner's landscapers didn't install drainage, therefore three to four inches of water flooded into our Arizona room during a heavy rainstorm.

Even though the Pay Right Company specializes in plumbing (not outside drains), Carlos and his crew installed drains in front of the Arizona room doors and one in the patio area. Moreover, they cleaned mold off the bricks, disposed of all the trash and left everything neat.

Furthermore, after they left, I found that they had given some TLC to the area near a palm tree that needed attention. This was a thoughtful gesture.

Carlos and his men were professional, friendly and focused. They worked straight through the morning and completed the job ahead of schedule.

We will contact Carlos for all our plumbing needs in the future and highly recommend his company.

Complete Bias
February 7, 2021

This app is horrible when it comes to speech. Anybody at any time can report you and they don't look into the report. They just take the claim and use it against you banning you from the app. They are more of a disappointment than FaceBook and Twitter combined. It is poorly managed and should be taken down from all app stores and banned from being used.

The policing of content is awful. I go on the app or went on the app I should say to see if there are any lost dogs, to see pictures of snow and wildlife in our backyards, And to read of any wonderful announcements. However I came across political content particularly an activist group trying to recruit in our neighborhood. I am not going to say if it was left or right the fact is it should not be allowed no matter what the content is. Our neighborhoods are polarized enough and with the last election we have seen deterioration of relationships between neighbors in my community. Next-door has become another app that allows toxic polarizing content on its site. It should ban any political content and dangerous disinformation.

I have responded to several posts by others on the site, one in particular I offered advice that was solicited by the poster. I offered constructive advice on how to deal with a mother of his sons friend who the poster believed was flaunting conspiracy theories to this son. Not only was my response immediately deleted, but I was then banned from the site. All of this with no explanation from the site. Just blocked. This site is Cancel Culture to the ninth degree. If you espouse extreme progressive ideology then you will be fine. However any conservative posts or responses will be looked at askew and most times deleted. I have always thought that liberals were very adamant about being able to speak their mind freely and that liberals should demand to be heard. That is all still true, however if you disagree their philosophy now is simply to cancel you. This is what is happening to our democracy. Just a few years ago, I would have never thought this would happen, but it has and is. You can test it out on your own. Join, and even if you are liberal, post anything controversial with a conservative mindset and see what happens. You will be next.

Abusive website
January 24, 2021

This is an abusive web site. The moderator of it is far below par! It's the neighborhood but they allow you to be attacked. Especially if you report a business for not wearing a mask! This is actually bad for the community! Very sad!
