Nextdoor.com is a community based online forum for people to connect with each other in their neighborhood. You can control the size of your neighborhood depending on what you want to see. It gives you the opportunity to read about local matters and to see other people's input as well as having your own input. It is a great forum!

I love this app. Not only is current news available, many lost dogs and cats have been found by the community. This app is also wonderful to ask for help or volunteer to help someone else. Neighbors are so helpful in recommending business services.

I HAVE REVIEWED OCEANSIDE AUTO SPECIALISTS BEFORE... SO. I again i say... a senior citizen who has been to many auto mechanics in my lifetime., jonathon is the "best of the best.".! Consciencious, takes his time to help you understands all aspects of a repair! And he guarentees his work!
I see a great future of jonathon's auto specialists. So go see him if you are in need of quality auto repair and to meet a man of auto repair knowledge & one WHO possesses integrity!

Grown adults are bullying, harrassing, abusing and attacking their neighbors for differences of opinion. Ive been TARGETED ever since I joined in 2019. I run a landscape & snow business on Long Island NY and have reached out to seniors who are looking for help with snow or property maintenance. So many people have been attacked for commenting on restaurants, sprinklers running during the rain, crime, etc. The worst group is the politics group, its a literal war zone. The Bullys constantly attack everyone who doesn't agree with their Liberal stance. Cursing, name calling, character assignation, bullying and targeting those who dont agree with the Group in charges Liberal Stance are banned over and over. One man is so bold as to post to Report him for cursing and name calling, He KNOWS nothing will be done to him. Reports made from the site dont even get a case#. Ive been targeted and as soon as I get back on the site, Im banned within days again... There are many many of my neighbors who have left the site and we discuss topics elsewhere. I do NOT recommend next door. In my opinion it is a breeding ground of hatred & hypocrisy with a hidden agenda.

Might as well be facebook. Account disabled after just joining. No reason given and no tos broken. And the help center is a joke. Just gives you the run around. I'm guessing it's owned by facebook. Kind of a stupid idea all around. Looks and feels the same. Might as well be joining a fb group. All i seen was your typical cry babies in there. Except for one Woman in a side group looking for some remote work. Glad i could help her before the fascists disabled the account. No loss.

On nextdoor you can get banned by anybody with a click of the button. All you need is a post which somebody disapproves. Checks? None. Bans? Immediate. In the same time there's plenty of fake names roaming around. If nextdoor actually cracked down on all fake names nobody would actually be left there... That's the only reason they don't do that. Not recommended...

This site has gone full depraved. They actively foment and encourage harassment of Conservatives especially educated Conservative women of color. HOW this is even possible is mystifying to me, that social media has reached the level of old time segregationists and racists encouraging rabid leftist men by allowing threatening posts and demeaning posts towards conservative women of color to stay up but if that same woman defends the Constitution their account is disabled.

Important information that does not conform to their world view makes lie out the site's approach that its for your neighborhood. How can it be your neighborhood if people in Nextdoor who don't even live in your neighbor decide what can and cannot be seen.

ND says the don't allow bullying. They don't practice what they preach. Example: if a poster is suspended they ( ND) fail to get specific as to an alleged violation.

I wish I could give NextDoor NO stars... They allowed continual bullying, nit picking, stalking, harassing, offensive language, and every time I would report the obvious violations of their own written policies by other members, nothing happened. After two days of constantly defending myself from the barrage of insults, belittling, harassment and stalking, the Moderators of NextDoor put me in a 4 day time out, and I honestly never violated any of their written rules. I did not use foul language, I did not target or point out anyone in particular, and I did not annoy, or harass anyone. I did not stalk another member. I made ONE post, and then came the barrage of personal attacks. It appears that NextDoor is run and operated by bullies who only want to control everything and everyone who uses their site. I found there were several nice folks on there, who I truly enjoyed helping out, but instead of helping me, NextDoor punished me... the victim of 653(m) of the California Penal Code. I advise everyone to avoid NextDoor as if it were the plague. Once you provide them with your name, address and contact information, who knows what their other members will do with that information. Stay far clear from this horrible site. NextDoor is definitely NOT about being friendly or neighborly.

The people who manage this site are Communist leftists who espouse anti-white, secular, pro-deviant, anti-family agendas. They deny all who disagree with their twisted, leftist dementia the right to voice their opinions. Avoid this site at all costs. It serves no useful purpose that cannot be gleaned elsewhere.

This is a far left app just like Facebook! People on here complain about everything and if you confront them they gang up on you and get you kicked off without warning and nobody will contact you nor is there anyone to contact! These people can say anything they want to you and get away with it.

I'm a lead for Nextdoor who recently posted a comment asking people to be tolerant of other people's posts. I am seeing a lot people reporting posts because they simply don't agree with the opinion, not because it is violating any Nextdoor rules. In my community (which has a lot of older and retired people), it was extremely well received except for a couple of intolerant members who are known for picking fights and pushing buttons. I'm a moderate Democrat, as are most people in my county. But I, and most in my community, believe all our neighbors have the right to civilly express their opinion even if they are more Conservative, providing it follows the rules. I don't think censorship of people for vindictive reasons is conducive to building a supportive Nextdoor community.

I used an example of a recently reported and deleted post about how a member removed a homeless encampment on private property. It was factual, not inflammatory and included an informative video by a well known journalist who covers homelessness. This is allowed per the Nextdoor regulations. One of the members, known for instigating issues, asked what the video was. I should have known not to engage, but I linked the video unaware that Prager U is like kryptonite to extremists. This instigator became unhinged claiming I supported racism and the KKK. Excuse me?

I asked if he watched the video, which did not address or condone any of that. Nope. It was clearly a setup. We have had other interactions, and he has expressed a grudge against me as a Lead. So he reported me to Nextdoor for linking a video that he ASKED to see. Nextdoor Admin believed this unhinged person, did not actually look at the feed in question, and suspended my account. I have sent an email asking why I was being suspended because I called for tolerance. Based on the complaints I'm seeing, I don't believe they are professional or mature enough to answer the email.

Do I believe that Nextdoor Admin is being run by young people without the maturity to handle bullies, trolls and instigators? Yes, I do believe they are way over their heads in dealing with interpersonal conflicts. Based on the numerous complaints I'm seeing, they clearly don't have the objectivity or experience to effectively run this company.

What is the after effect? It is tearing neighbors and communities apart. What is, in concept, a great idea has become divisive and dysfunctional because of the immaturity and unprofessionalism of those running Nextdoor, IMHO.

5 stars! Great workmanship... reasonable prices... finished the job with quality and on time. I'd use them again.

These messages I shared are after multiple emails with their robot responder... I threatened to call lawyers they finally got someone who sent me this... Still not deleted

There are hundreds of posts where people are breeding puppies, kittens, and using the site to sell life. If you post a reminder how many puppies and kittens are killed every day in "shelters', they will REMOVE your post. They are practicing arbitrary censorship that imposes their own narrow views and prejudices. Booo Next Door! Bad. Bad. Boycott!

This is the worst app. The is a forum for bullying. I have tried the app twice and it is nothing but a place for people to get away with bullying. I received some unbelievable comments just because I posted thaat the firework were scary for the animals. So glad I deleted the app which includes mostly bullies and incompetent people.
