I am extremely unsatisfied and upset about this transaction. I received my item with damage already in place. I sent the part back looking for an exchange. I received an email back stating, "The item number 14-103-228 VGA DIAMON|7870PE52GV HD7870 2G R was received with apparent end-user caused physical damage to blade fan." So, NewEgg just cops out of any responsibility and will not back the products they sell and WILL assume that any and all damage is the buyers fault. Furthermore, NewEgg will not service an exchange though it is within 30 days and I had to pay shipping costs to get it there. Now they are sending me back the broken item they sold me. This is outrageous! Any other vendor would have done a standard exchange without charging me money for shipping. Basically at the end, I received a message stating the aforementioned and just basically gave me a big middle finger with no response to the second message is sent.

Everything was fine until usps lost my package. The customer service was robotic copy and paste and they are asking me to wait 15 business days or more for a refund. The crazy thing is, that its been 17 business days and they keep telling me to wait. If they wish to deliver a package via fed ex to a post office two miles up the street and then usps lose it and say it was delivered, then its their problem. They should have a small inexpensive tracker in package that costs 2 cent and they should either locate it or refund me on the spot. Using usps is so backward and not good business.

Deplorable customer service. Bought an item for my daughter for Christmas and they refuse to accept a return or exchange after 30 days, even unopened! This is my 2nd and final bad experience with Newegg.com.

Bought an item that Newegg had listed on Ebay. Paid immediately using my Paypal balance.

They wrote a couple of hours later that the item was out of stock; and that my account would not be charged. Well, it already was charged since I paid with my account balance. I contacted Ebay who was of little help - told me to contact Newegg and try to resolve it. Phones took too long - I was on hold forever and finally gave up. At least, I got hold of someone on chat. I was told it would take 3-5 business days (since there is a weekend in between, this could be up to a week) before Newegg would refund back to me my funds FOR THE ITEM THEY ADMIT TO NOT HAVING. Apparently there is no one at Newegg willing to just go in and hit the "refund" button, which takes 2 seconds, on my Paypal transaction.

Please someone tell me how this is fair - I tried to buy something from them, and they decided instead to "borrow" my money for up to a week until they have the time to return it... admitting that I am getting NOTHING in exchange! Bad enough they're listing stuff on Ebay that they don't even have in stock, but then "selling" it and keeping the money too!

I will never do business with this company again. Ebay and Paypal are of little help - I don't even have the opportunity to open a dispute, since Newegg canceled my transaction "outside" of Ebay (they just sent an email - in my Ebay purchases list, the item is still there.) Pretty sneaky on their part.

I am very frustrated and extremely disappointed in Newegg. The worst part is that I specifically kept a balance in my Paypal account for Christmas shopping and now they are keeping it for up to a week!

The best thing about this site, and the reasons it is so well liked, is straight prices. It is a site you should check for any kind of electronic before going somewhere like Best Buy. I would tell everyone to check out the deals there even if they are just browsing.

- search tools often work better than at the competition
- less choice than at the competition
- prices are good at Newegg, sometimes better than at the alternative
- shipping is fast

BUT when you try to return:
- get ready for huge RMA fees
- get ready to be scammed: we paid $400+shipping for a product. We ended up with $320 less shipping after all the scams (and that's for untouched unopened packages of items that are returnable and were returned promptly)
- don't bother calling customer service: you will be on hold for ages and then the system will simlply respond with "good-bye" and cut off

Depending on the reason for the return, a customer service agent must manually remove the 15% restocking fee when a refund is requested and the agent can issue a prepaid UPS shipping label to be used in returning the item to Newegg at no cost to the customer. Actually, the site has a pretty good selection of products at a fair price. Their house brand products "Rosewill" can be a little on the junky side, so I recommend sticking with the well known items and you should be fine.

It was my first and last experience with Newegg. I ordered an Acer Aspire since this computer was rated really good. But Newegg messed it up and sent me the wrong item. People who don't have no experiences with computers would have probably not even realized that they got the correct model but without the graphic card in it.

I demanded a replacement and sent the computer back. This took almost 7! Days. In the end they found out they didn't have that computer in stock anymore and giving me a refund instead what took another couple of days. That whole process took almost 3 weeks without having a computer, dozens of phone calls to find out weather I would get a refund or a replacement! So in the end, I don't have no computer, got my money back and have to start looking for another computer, since that one is not in stock anymore. I will definitely go with Amazon next time. Just wanted to give Newegg a try. I should have stuck with Amazon, as I usually do.

They are a SCAM. I had my credit card charged for an order I never placed.

They were rude and said I made the order. THAT WAS A LIE.

I asked them where it was shipped and they couldn't tell me.

They were so rude to both my boyfriend and I. I can see that I'm not the only one that this happened to.

BIG SCAM SITE, don't give them you're credit card information.

Newegg.com has the most inept customer service I have experienced. I wanted to spend more than a thousand dollars there, but after dealing with 4 phone calls, errors made by customer service people, and being on hold for 22.46 minutes (and counting), I still have not been able to order my computer with overnight shipping. Ha! It has been 7 days since I first tried to order this. What a joke.

Ordered product, received email invoice and confirmation of sucessful card charge, shipping, and tracking link.
Product never arrived and tracking site said item never entered system.
Chat to Newegg resulted in Supervisor saying item shipped to different address, but no clear resolution.
My account was closed when I tried to follow-up.
Most recent follow-up 1 month later - Newegg.com claimed shipped to different address, yet shippers have no record of item being shipped. Supervisor says they cannot do anything.

Bad experience for no good reason. Worse follow up.

I saw a good deal on a good product. I tried to buy. However, I wanted to use PayPal. For reasons that no one can figure out, Newegg would not ship to my CONFIRMED PayPal address. They would ship only to an obsolete address. The website locked me into that option. That address was no longer present on my PayPal account. Not even the PayPal customer service people could find it. Newegg Customer service was no help. Policies are policies.

Now, here's where it gets weird:

I posted a negative review on another review site. Newegg customer service tracked me down and also had that review deleted because I had not made a purchase.

Of course, that was my complaint: I couldn't make a purchase I wanted to make! If I'd been able to make a purchase, I wouldn't have had a complaint.

The site policies required only an intent to make a transaction ("shopping, but not necessarily buying" in normal person talk).

The point is: Newegg gets good reviews because they hunt down and eliminate bad reviews.

Be careful. Things will probably go well for you, but if they don't, too bad.

I have not been able to order anything since I've tried. They have declined my order countless times and refuse to tell me why. After they kept automatically voiding my orders, they took all the money from the orders. 2 grand out of pocket, and they did not tell me. The bank did. I had to contact the bank to get the 2,000 dollars back and it took 5 days to get it back to me. I do not recommend newegg to anyone regardless of the "fine experiences" someone has. If you have a different billing address than shipping address they will keep declining you regardless of talking to their mortifying customer service.
