Package was lost between warehouse and supplier! Still had to wait 12 days before I could file a claim, and now am still waiting 17 days later with no progress being made on the claim and no information offered. Asking for a refund would forfeit the $78 for shipping (cause supposedly shipping was paid).
Extremely unhappy with Newegg and would recommend to use at own risk. If you see a product elsewhere, even if its $100 more, think to yourself whether the price difference is worth waiting >4 weeks for, with no guarantee of delivery at all.
Customer service is nice, if only for the fact they can stand all the dissatisfaction they are faced. They can't provide anymore information than they receive themselves. A lot of platitudes are given but do little to help in the matter.

I ordered a fan for my laptop on 11/13. It supposedly shipped on 11/17. There have been NO updates on tracking page since 11/17 and that only shows "acceptance."
I tried sending an email via their website. The button doesn't work. I am using the latest version of Firefox, so that should not be a problem.
I tried calling but it was clearly going to take a long time just to get to a person. Plus the automated prompts were wonky and cut me off after just a few digits of the order number.
I see others have had their issues resolved through this forum. I have ordered from Newegg in the past and have not had this difficulty; however, I admit I'm a demanding customer and expect (a) things to either be shipped in a timely manner or to be contacted if there is a delay and (b) some degree of responsiveness that does not involve me having to spend otherwise-billable hours trying to figure out how to contact someone.

To preface this, I am taking a class that is using software to write assembly code to a microprocessor. We're about halfway into the semester, and I am realizing I need a new computer as my current machine isn't fully working with the software. The semester is nearing end so I need a new computer ASAP.
I tried to order a laptop from Newegg. After I placed the order, money was being held on my credit card. The order was canceled in about 5 days. I contacted customer support, and they responded by saying my bank information did not match. The only "help" I got was them reconfirming my contact and bank information (which they already had on file, none of which had changed). After some time I was advised to just reorder the laptop.
I'm frustrated that their system holds your money without the order actually being confirmed. Furthermore, I am upset at the fact that the only "assistance" I got was simply someone telling me to put in the same order. None of my information had changed, and I need this computer yesterday. What confidence do you expect me to have that this order will process successfully when literally none of my information has changed?
I wasn't even offered an expedited delivery, which I would have gladly paid for. So now I'm going to Best Buy, I guess.

I bought a 1500$ computer from Newegg recently, I received a faulty computer that I barely could use for a month. First before I could return it I had to go through a gruesome process with MSI that tried their best to convince me it wasn't a hardware error, which it was. The only nice part of my experience with newegg is the issuance of a replacement and the conversation I had with customer service at that point.
After they received the computer, it took the two days to test it and accept it was broken. Then it took another day for them to realize that the computer I bought was now out of stock, since it has been replaced by MSI with a newer model. The procedure was then to issue a refund, which would be in my account in 3-5 business days.
In the following conversation with customer service, I suggested another computer. In the following conversation I had with customer service, the agent abruptly cancelled in the middle of our conversation.
Having friends who have used newegg and had similar experiences I would recommend you going somewhere else. Amazon will provide you with the same goods, but far superior customer service.

When an item is returned for a replacement, but the item is out of stock, a refund is issued so you do not have to wait longer for a resolution as it could take a while for us to receive more stock. I placed an order for a hard drive on 9/18/15 as part of a larger order. The drive arrived in a New egg Box in a bubble bag. It was not in the factory packaging and did not work from the start. I was given an RMA number and returned the drive stating that it did not work from the moment I received it. I had another person with me to verify this. They returned this to me stating I was to contact the drive manufacturer. The device did not work from receipt and it appears that they are trying to push off on the manufacturer problems that they should address.

I purchased a refurbished PC and an extended warranty. The PC never worked. I returned it 3 times for repairs and they never repaired it and they sent it back without even touching it. They didn't even send a note explaining why. When I asked for a refund and credit to purchase a new computer, they said I wasn't eligible for a refund, even though the computer spent 6 months going back and forth from my house to their repair center. The warranty doesn't include information on how to return it - it has to be "approved" by them. I am now applying for a refund through my credit card company. Newegg repeatedly told me that they would review and repair the computer, but nothing ever happened. Save your time and money, and don't bother buying from them!

I have tried some meals from some other food delivery websites with a similar concept. In my continuous efforts to remain healthy and fit, and to not get bored with my own boring cooking - this is the first that is note worthy. The food is surprisingly tasteful. Portion is perfect for me. Health quality is perfect for me. There was confusion on delivery date, because of my mistake, and they still refunded $69. I wasn't even upset and didn't request a refund, nor did I hint on it. Their support seems to match their quality of food. Thanks!

Great Site, never had a major problem with them. There customer service is amazing. Once they sent me something, but it was missing a few parts (nothing I couldn't buy separately on my own though). I mentioned it to them and they refunded me the difference.

Not wanting to go through the entire site i can only bring these examples to light. There is a brand of very nice office/gaming chair from a company called DXRacer. Newegg lists the Msrp of these chair at RIDICULOUSLY inflated prices to artificailly make it look like they sell them at a discount of between 40-52% at the time of writing this. I will use a random example from the extensive range of chairs: MODEL FE57/NB a gaming styled office chair in their "formula" series. Listed on the Newegg website for $339.00 at a discount of %52 according to them from the listed price of $699. DXRacer lists the exact same model on their website WITH NO DISCOUNT OR DEAL at... you guessed it $339.00...
Just to be clear THIS IS ILLEGAL it is referred to as a "phantom markdown" and many court cases and judges have set precedent that THIS IS ILLEGAL.
It is anti-consumer and against (at least) California's unfair competition laws, False advertising law and consumer legal remedies act. THe FTC's guidelines on manufacturer's suggested retail prices are ENTIRELY clear on this.
I will be informing the FTC and better business bureaux of these scam practices

I ordered 2 monitors. 1 was broken. As part of return process they sent me another monitor and I shipped back one of the two original monitors. I took GREAT care to pack everything security. Since I used box from the 3rd monitor for the 2nd monitor return, they denied my return. After asking customer service if there is anything they can do (since denying the return for that reason is awful, IMHO), I was told, they would agree to process the return, but I couldn't go to Newegg for customer service on the monitor without the retail box/return it. I agreed, and they processed my return. A thoughtful compromise to an otherwise upsetting situation.
Preordered lens with promotional interest with 1 month lead time, order was pushed another month. Receive an email saying I cancelled order. I contact them and they since promotion is no longer valid order is cancelled. I have to resubmit order using different payment method.
They say they are sorry offer me 10 dollar credit. I refuse and say I will take business elsewhere. Up to this point had nothing but wonderful transactions with Newegg. This is actually my first negative review of any kind. Point being the email was sent to me said I cancelled order I did not, they did. They offered goods which I purchased and they could not deliver within time frame of "preferred account" offer so they falsify records and say I cancelled. Simply unethical.

Sent me the wrong item, I sent it back. Fought with them countless times to get a refund on my correct item but to no avail. This is quite a massive scam as they say they need to investigate blah blah but never bothers to follow up. Do NOT trust the other review websites where they have sky high ratings; their customer service called immediately after I posted a negative review but the main concern was getting the negative review down without resolving the issue. Terrible, do not shop here and trust the reviews here instead.

Deciding to build my own computer was a great choice. While I definitely put in abit more money than I thought from the start, I am extremely satisfied with the result! Shipping was fast, no issues with service, just wish the website gave a little more details on the specs of each item. Most of what I ordered were bare dimensions and just a rehash of the item title without giving anything more in-depth. Oh well I figured it out lol
Been buying from here a couple times - not too bad
I have bought many things from Newegg in the past. Have built all my home computers using their products. The system I built this time included a Crossfire twin video card system. After I was up and running I found out the Crossfire was not working. I contacted both the motherboard and video card manufacturers. After almost a week they pretty much pointed the blame at each other and was told get more of the product. Since the motherboard was working awesome I decided I was going to return the video cards and get a single better card. After setting up the RMA I talked to customer service since I had selected defective as the RMA instead of Unhappy. They assured me they would get the description changed. I was informed there would be a 15% restocking fee which I understood and accepted. After sending both cards back - almost 4-5 days later I had to get back on to support and ask them what was taking so long. The person assured me they would request a expedited return request. Today got an email that the first RMA was not defective and they were shipping it back to me. Once again got in touch with support who thankfully was able to get it changed.
I think this might be the last time I order from Newegg. For an RMA - it takes anywhere from 2-5 days to process your RMA once they receive it. Then an additional 5-7 days to get an actual refund. If there is any complications (like mine) it may take another week to see your refund. Still have not seen anything yet as I write this. Of the few things I have returned through Amazon they issued a refund within the week. Perhaps this is normal for big electronics retailers? I ended up buying my video card from Amazon using Prime. System is running perfectly.
I understand there are those out there trying to pull fast ones over on Newegg. I have been a long time customer and this is the first time I felt negative about the experience.

Answer: The reason why i gave a bad review was because i ordered a phone for my wife, An I-phone 5 and NewEgg.com only sent a box with the manual and a charger for the phone. I called NewEgg.com and explained to them and they stated i needed to wait while they investigate, they never got back to me so i called them again. The person i talked to put me on hold then came back to me and stated she was checking this what was going on and kept putting me on hold for a total of 45 minutes to only come back and tell me that i need to send them a picture of the box and contents. I have no clue what my wife or children did with the box now i am screwed. 219.00 down the drain. This was the first and last purchase i will make until the get this straight.
